Mizzou's single roll-over is S.E. Missouri State. They get some money, we get a win.
Don't forget from last year:
Michigan's single roll-over is Appalachian State. They get some money, we get a win.

Kansas had the top defense in the Big 12, #10 in nation, and return 6-8 starters, including all 3 lbs. when did they get worse than Missouri?
3 pounds? Bunch of lightweights!

I would not be surprised if Pelini turns out to be one of those coaches who seem displeased at every press conference during the season. That might just be his plan for dealing with the media, but doesn't mean he is exactly the same with the players. It will be interesting to see what he is like on the Bo Pelini Show, or whatever it is going to be called...
How about "The Bo Show, Fo' Sho' "

College Football definitely. My 21st might be an exception though.
Except it was my 18th that was the exception (I'm old and the law has changed )

When I came to work this morning, i notified my neighbor that College football was less than a week away and i was pumped. My neighbor not much of a sports fan asked me "What do you like better your Birthday or the opening College Football weekend?" Obvious answer, Football. What is everyone elses answer?
I am so pumped i think i peed my pants.
College Football season is the begining of a wonderful season of excitement and entertainment. My birthday is a day where I get a cake at work, have a nice steak for dinner, and get a few gift cards to compensate for the reminder that I am getting older by the day. I'll take the start of college football season over everything except the opening Thursday of the NCAA tournament, and the inauguration of whoever the next president is.

I don't mind MU being ranked real high up in polls.
It gives the Huskers credibility when they DESTROY them!!!! (maybe , maybe not )

ESPN talking head: "Oooh, shiny object"
A little later: "Ooooh, a new shiny object"
Like most of America, they have a VERY short attention span

Thought this was funny from the article:
Sunflower Order on screen or call (785) 841-2100; channel 387 Lawrence, Kan.
On second thought some might watch because the radio station in Kansas City that carries KU games won't be able to because of their deal with the Royals requires them to carry baseball.

Passion, Pride, and Tradition...................the three keys to success.
Passion, Pride, Tradition, and Score more points than the opponent...................the four keys to success.

Thats the rumor. At least according to the aquarium guy.

Now this year I am bombarded with radio ads for KU proclaiming their "tradition" in football while only listing accomplishments from last year including putting up 76 on Nebraska. It makes me want to puke. I remember going to the Nebraska game in Lawrence and having more Husker fans in the stands than KU fans. I wonder if their basketball team were to go a couple of seasons around .500 how full Allen Fieldhouse would be.
This is another sign that KU is NOT a good program. After their best year ever - they need to ADVERTISE to sell tickets. Constantly. Over and over and over. Good programs do not do this. Imagine Nebraska or Oklahoma or Tennessee or Meeechigan or Alabama or Notre Dumb doing this?

If you guys actually READ THE ARTICLES you would know that playboy has k-state preseason 22
Playboy has articles?

If I remember right, Solich recruited him and he committed but when Solich was fired he waivered on his committment then went to one of the Kansas schools.

The only thing I won't enjoy about our future turn around; is the fact that Herbz will inevitably say that it took an OSU guy to turn around the Huskers! Right or not, this guy really PISSES me off!
Kirk, 95' Huskers best team ever, deal with it!
NO praise from me, not now, not EVER!!!

CY you know that BS holding call that cost MU the game 2 years ago shouldn't count. Come on, even the freaking BIG 12 said it was a BS call dumb officials
3-2, like everyone else, should be the record
Scoreboard!!!

..and we have the best tailgate parties in the Big 12...second to none!
Tailgate . . . back porch since home is the pickup truck . . . whatever - just good food!

Second- Mangino's health was a reach. It's not a concern. In fact, he was checked out after the season and was as healthy as a guy can be. Some people just have trouble with their weight. It's his genes. He actually had gastric by-pass surgery in the offseason and lost 22lbs. So stop making such a big deal about his weight. He's taking the proper steps to impove it and just let it be. Coaches come and go, heck, we could lose Mangino tomorrow to a "national power". I'm not blind to that. But it was in Mangino's contract that he needed to take care of his health and he's doing that. I'm sick of people bringing that up and making it such a big deal. Give the guy a break.
You can buy a T-shirt that says "Our coach can eat your coach" IN LAWRENCE The poster was expressing, from what I read, an honest concern for your coach's health.
-
And crap, we lost 2 running backs in the last 2 weeks!! They're transfering because they know they won't see the field.
Tell them to not stand behind the coach.
I honestly didn't know that KU had 3 wins over teams with winning records last year. No wonder MU was upset about not getting a BCS bowl.

By the looks of it, Colorado is going to start off the season 1-5, maybe a 4-8 finish if they're lucky.
Their schedule
Colorado State W
Eastern Washington W
No. 8 West Virginia L
at Florida State ?
Non-Con I see 3-1, or 2-2. Doesn't effect conference, but sets up psyche.
No. 11 Texas L
at No. 14 Kansas L
Kansas State W
at No. 6 Missouri L
at Texas A&M ?
Iowa State W
Oklahoma State W
at Nebraska L
3-5 or 4-4 in conference. NU I say 5-3 or 4-4 in conference. NU ends 3rd in North. Dust off the beer and weird colored shoes - we're going bowling!
-
People are talking possible NT and I am in now way confident enought to rattle a statement like that.
Very possible scenario: Hopes dashed in first game loss - season goes down hill from there. Ends up with 3-4 losses.
If they win, a very good season ensues.
Two similar pivitol games: NU/VTech, MU/I

Correct me if I'm wrong but, Cooper will be able to go back to the MLB after he graduates right? If so, how would that work? Would he be "drafted" and go through that process again??
yup...a player can be drafted 4 or 5 times.
In theory a player can be drafted 5 times. Once out of high school. If he goes the JUCO route he can be drafted his last year there. Then when he goes to a four year school he can be drafted during his junior and senior years. Then there was the example of the Royals Hochevar who balked at his draft position and went and played ball in an independant league and re-entered the draft the following year. That would be five possibilites to be drafted.
Unless he becomes a NASCAR driver. They draft all over the place.

I just called Bo and told him a spy from the Buffs was on his way over to sneak some footage of an NU practice....let me know where he shoves your camera.
Yup, I'm spying from the buffs, that is why I have lived on campus for 3 years, take classes at UNL full time and live and die huskers, tutor at the hewit athletic center, and my roomate for the summer is on the fball team. You completely figured me out!

Don't give them out until after the first game. After last year, they need to be earned in battle.

A teenager was talking (very nicely) to a Phelp's boy, about 5 yo, who was carrying a sign "God hates f**s" at a soldier's funeral. A Phelps adult admonished him for talking with "the unclean". The boy stiffened and acted like he was going to hell.
The teenager was the son of the dead soldier.
