  1. Just read this a few minutes ago

"Ironically enough, later today, Sean Callahan (Rivals.com) told KFAB (1110AM, Omaha) that 4* Corey Cooper (S, Maywood IL) has reportedly canceled his official visit to Florida State. If true, this is great news for the Huskers."

  2. A lot of that probably has to do with a lot of younger people being the ones that filled out that poll and don't even remember back to when it was just the Big 8 an the biggest game ever single season was Nebraska vs Oklahoma. Oklahoma is just lucky that the South got someone they already considered a rival and is actually good...maybe if a team in the North would provide a little more constant competition we could pick a new rival, but pretty much every team has had its ups and downs since the Big 12 conception

  3. Finally a LEGITIMATE suh site.

Edit: I think this is University made, or at least someone involved with the university....not exactly easy to get ahold of HD video footage without broadcast graphics, plus the site theme looks very similair.

It says copyright UNL at the bottom so it is University made.

Bad thing is...something like this needs to be done at the end of a players Junior year or at the very beginning of their senior year. All of the Suh hype and attention is simply due to him dominating and (gasp as I say it) those Husker hating ESPN talking heads (yes I'm being sarcastic because I don't think they have a vendetta against us at all) giving him the props he deserves.

Releasing a site like this is great and props to them for doing something. But with 2 games left...it really is just fluff right now.

I actually like the timing of this better, a month or so back I think would have been perfect timing. Eric Berry's Heisman campaign site has been out since August and you don't see it anywhere anymore because it is old news. Same thing happened with Pat White's site...they put them out early everyone is burnt out by it before September even hits.

  4. Anybody know if UNO IDs work as good as N cards?

    No.

They may not be attentive, they may be old, but they aren't stupid.

I wasn't meaning to trick them. I was just wondering if they worked because they are part of the university system. If I'm going to trick them I am just going to keep using other student's Ncards.

  5. Anybody know if UNO IDs work as good as N cards? I have never bothered trying and have always just bored someone's Ncard, I am just curious. They really don't check the IDs very closely. Most of the time I just put the ticket over the picture part and just walk on by. Just act like you've done it before and they don't bother looking. The last few home games I have used an Asian girls Ncard and I am a white male lol.

  6. hairline fracture?

correct me if im wrong but thats different from a broken foot.

I've been hearing it was his big toe and it was a hairline fracture

I've actually fractured my big toe before and I would think one would be able to just play through the pain if that was the case. Just give him a shot before the games and he would be good to go. I remember when broke my toe I really didn't want to go to the doctor cause I felt like it would be a waste, and I was correct. Doctor pretty much said congrats it's broken, now be on your way. If you insist I could have you pay extra from some pain meds and a boot, but those aren't necessary wearing a shoe and taking regular pain killers will do just fine.

  7. Not to bash Lee, but I've been thinking for awhile now that we should try using Green inside the 5, especially on the designed running plays. Kind of like when Florida used Tebow when Leak was the starter. Could also mix it in the middle of drives...normally have him run, but every once in a while throw a pass in to shake up the defense. We keep hearing both will likely see the field, I keep taking that as a dual qb system not, you will likely see the back up if the first one fudges up enough times.

  8. we really do not need to toughen up our schedule, the big XII will take care of that for us. i would enjoy a more exciting preconference schedule, but it is not necessary.

That philosophy would have worked a few years ago, however if you want to be ranked in the top ten, you better play somebody other than just cupcakes. Especially if you want to go for the National Championship. Just winning the Big 12 won't do it necessarily. There are too many other good teams that are playing in tough conferences, too. And some of the lesser conferences are all of a sudden making an impact. It is no longer just the Big XII, SEC, Big 10, and Pac 10 that rule.

Besides, we all know how the pollsters are biased to the SEC, Big 10, and Pac 10 teams...and for that matter the Southern Division teams in the Big XII over the Northern Division teams at this point. We have to do a little more than they can just to prove ourselves.

Have you seen Florida's and Texas' out of conference games?

    Here is all 8:

    Louisiana-Monroe

    Wyoming

    UTEP

    UCF

    Charleston Southern

    Troy

    Florida International

    Florida State

Florida State is the only team I would consider a quality opponent and they aren't even that good this year and both are in the hunt for the NCG. Once you get to the top you don't need to schedule anybody because they will keep you at the top until you lose and the easiest way to avoid losing is to avoid competition. I hate that this is teh case, but it is the truth. The BCS is set up to favor a team that is undefeated with no schedule over a team that has 1 loss that has a brutal schedule, unless of course the undefeated team is a mid-major, the BCS then tries to do everything they can to keep them out.
