But, there's is one thing about these Big 12 qbs. They might not have been the highest rated guys coming out, BUT, they came from high school teams who run the spread. So, when they get into college, they're pretty much running the same offense they did in high school. It makes for a much easier transition.

IMO, this is the biggest "loss" that we may have in this class. Folks, this kid is for real, and is a man among boys in a very competitive classification in Iowa (yes, I know it isn't a football hot-bed), but he will make a big name for himself... He can flat out "fly" and is put together well. I think that we shouldn't give up on him, but then that would be "dirty" recruiting, so I also don't promote that either.......damn, I'm stuck.
Screw the "clean" recruiting. Just do anything to get these guys here, except something that lands us on probation.

Is Orson Charles coming for a visit on the 28th? Seen it's being rumored he is but I can't find verification on this. IF he does we become IMMEDIATE players for this guy. He is a stud. Bo and Shawn could point to Nate Swift and say that can be you. I like our returning receivers but Charles would play above most of them, except per say Paul and Holt. Great hands, great frame, if he has a decent bean between his shoulders he'd really, really look hard at NU, if he visits it would be pretty cut and dry almost as to how he'd fit in and how impressive 85,000 people partying a CU rout all day and night long are.
or hell show him some matt herian footage from 2003 and be like, the same coach who coached him will coach you.
Or show him footage of Daniel Graham at CU ripping Nebraska up in the unspeakable game and say, "That Offensive Coordinator could be coaching you." Even though we're recruiting him at receiver, well then, maybe show him some Purify footage against 1st round pick Aquib Talib from Kansas

Rule of thumb with JUCO guys ..
Height: Take off 1-2 inches
Weight: Take off 15-20lbs
40 Time: Add .20
Almost always everything they will report ends up looking like eye candy.
Did you just make that up off of the top of your head?
Oh yes, because I am cool like that.
But JUCO coaches and players are notorious for stretching the truth about height, weight and 40 times.
Very true, because there are no JUCO camps for them to go to like HS. They can't go to any SPARQ camps, so they can just make whatever measurable they want up, unlike the HS kids who's true times are shown at these camps.

would love to get this guy but if we don't then time to move on...the thing i like about bo is he wants players that want to be here
i never really understood this. if they committed here, don't they want to be here?

not sure bout the height/weight but 4.3 40 for a guy that size is rare..most likely a bit slower...just a guess
Ya, i agree about the speed, because i really doubt he's that fast, but i'm pretty sure they don't add 15-20 pounds and 2 inches.

Heard that Penn State is officially out of the running.
Looks like it will be down to Nebraska and Maryland
theirs.
They told him to hold off on commiting till he got his grades up.
He got his grades up and still wouldnt talk to him.
Ok so that begs the question as to why. Everything I see this kid is a great get, why would PSU cool on him?
They have 2 D Ends already committed, and their trying to swing a guy from Michigan i believe. Plus, they already have tons of D ends on the roster, so there's really no need for him.

Well, i asked on the Florida Gators Rivals Board about this guy, and i got a few responses, with one poster saying that he thought McBurse was the 2nd best player in central florida behind Andre DeBose.

You have to remember, alot of the negative stuff is said by Kansas fans. Where were they with this stuff while he was committed? Why is it that the concern only came up once he decided Kansas was not the place for him?
Sour grapes is all it is.
Not sour grapes. He has been inactive and on the bench for a few games this year because of him fighting and arguing with the coaches.
-
I've heard he's a stud that has a nose for the ball, BUT he's a psychopath that has been in run ins with teammates and with the coaches.
Sweet! Can't get much better then that. Psycho is not a bad thing.
Some of you can make a positive out of any negative

Everyone should have expected that. Everyone should have known Gabe would be at the game.
You witness one of your favorites get smacked like a cheap hooker and you watch another one of your favorites acting the pimp in this scene -- you can guess why our chances would diminish.
IMO, that would be a poor choice to lose interest in coming here because of a game against oklahoma. If thats his attitude, I don't want him. He should want to play for us seeing that we need help and the W-L numbers shouldn't matter.
Or why not have a chance to maybe play just as much on a team that kicked our butts? If you were going to be a nickleback for two programs where would you go? Nebraska or Oklahoma? If i was guaranteed the same position at two schools, i'd go to the one who's on top.

Texas Tech commit.
-
Also, on the Whaley vs. Burkhead. They are two completely different backs. Burkhead is just a playmaker and gets things done. Whaley is a big time bruiser.
-
And Tray is good, but right now he's damaged goods. He needs to heal up. He's had tons of injuries the past two years. There's a reason why he's only getting about 7 carries a game this year.
-
Rex Burkhead. He's dominating right now. I would love to have him. If he don't commit, then i think we should wait till next year. Some people have said he's dominating Texas football kind of like Wes Welker used to. I don't know how good Welker was in high school, but i'm sure its gotta mean something.

this is a outa no where ? but what does pipe line mean? ive been wanting to know that for ever
Pipeline is an area where you start getting lots of recruits. Say we get 4 arizona recruits a year, that means we made Arizona a pipeline state. This year we're getting lots of guys from the Dallas-Fort Worth Metro, so right now that is a pipeline for us. It's basically when you are signing a lot of guys from a certain area.

Committed to Texas Tech today.

Well i got some good news guys. He's moved his commitment date back to October when his dad gets home. Looks like he'll probably be visiting us again. This can only help our chances. LINK BELOW:

Hadn't seen this posted but it's between us and BYU. Also, Rivals has him rated as the number 1 run stuffer in the natino
-
Maybe this kid ends up throwing us all a curve and pulls a Jonas Gray and commit to a team that isn't in his list of "finalist"
That's because Gray didn't get a ND offer till later. He was a definite Domer when they offered just like Tostenson would be if we offered

Here's an update. Things arel ookign better

Rumblings that he will end up at Tenn.
Ya, to me that's the only logical place. I mean, Louisville got their butts kicked on his trip and his remarks weren't glorifying about it. He has a secret visit this week in which he says he's visiting the biggest game of the week. That's no doubt OSU vs USC. He doesn't have an offer from USC. So that only other school he'll have visited is Tennessee. To me, that's the place he's going.
NOTE: One of his best friends is Gerald Jones who is none other than a Vol Stud.

Well, i'd love to have him, but he'd definitely have to redshirt and spend a year in the weight room. He's only 173 pounds. That is really really light.
