4'11 is only an inch or two over some of the 8-year olds in the class I teach and they seem fairly normal in terms of size with parents who are not overly tall. I'm more inclined to look at the barrel chest on that fella and imagine him putting up reps on the bench in the future.

I'll take this double post opportunity to say that chili is a damn good meal, I only wish I had made a bigger pot...

I'm fairly certain there was an NU to Wisconsin change this week and maybe another within the Big10. They happen, but not often.

I'm not terribly worried about this one because our strength (best pass defense in the nation) matches up well with what you do. You are a great team, but you are playing a team built to battle with the likes of A&M. I'd be more worried if Christine was still in the lineup and ready to gash us on the ground. It should be a good game, and you'll need a good home crowd to push this one in your favor.
Good luck!

Impossible due to the improvements in speed and strength for modern athletes. When impacting at the types of speeds we're talking about, you are bound to end up with head injuries in this type of situation. It would give offense too much of an advantage in the end. Already hard to play defense.

The real question is what kind of Sanctions this could put on Florida as well...

I'm mostly concerned about managing against the between the tackles pounding we may get from Iowa and Wisconsin. The "Big 10" is not the issue. The issue is a particular subset of this conference which can trip us up on the way to competing for a MNC. Obviously we will shut down the passing game and they won't be able to run to the outside very effectively. Our DL has not shown the ability to shed blocks and make plays in the run game. Our LBs have not shown the ability to consistently (key word) make tackles at or behind the line of scrimmage on large RBs. We will give up a lot of 5-8 yard plays to these teams up the middle and if they have high ToP we will get worn down. We'll see how our depth is and if we can rotate in enough to handle it.

Boise plays the Big10 Champ in the Rose bowl. The Rose bowl is obligated to take a non-AQ school if a conference champion is playing in the MNC game. This rule came into effect this year I believe.

The NCAA has all of their financial documents, I'm sure if this was going to amount to anything it would have already.

I am glad we got him, but I seriously don't understand why anyone would play for anyone but Bo or Saban if they are looking at Corner/Safety. We are the #1 pass defense in the nation and are putting two corners into the NFL this year probably.

"Plus One" means a season with 1 extra game to pit the winners of the 1v4 and 2v3 games for the true Championship. I think we still may end up with non-AQs getting borked in a Plus One system however. Imagine if you have 1-loss teams from strong B10, B12, SEC and Pac12 conferences? Or Florida State running the table, Texas running the table, Ohio State beating Nebraska in the regular season and losing to them in the title game, similar things happening in the SEC. How do you put a non-SQ in over a 1-loss B10 or SEC team?
-
I'm not worried about the passing game. We can cover both downfield and the intermediate routes. The real worry is going up against the type of attack UW showed in their win over Ohio State. Push them, open up holes and throw a big back right down their throats. We can handle them if they are putting most of their emphasis on the pass and outside runs. The issue is when they dedicate their attack to running between the tackles.

He got beat a few times on what could have been TDs with better throws but it wasn't horrible coverage. A "solid" game, if anything. He's still no Dennard (yet)

Is it me or is that picture of another hit?

I think if Knapplc stopped getting into arguments all the time he'd have about half the post-count.

Burkhead runs nothing like Danny imo

Wisconsin's line averages 320 Lbs and is agile. How will our defense stand up to these power running games that exist nowhere else in the nation? It seems are are built to annihilate teams like Northwestern, Michigan State and other's. The problem is that the Iowas and Wisconsins of the Big Ten will push us all day until they get some points.
-
We're not talking about the penalty when a texas player was standing over them and pushing one of our players while they were down after a tackle are we?
-
Let me reiterate, 4 for 14 and 4 for 16. This is what we did to two passing quarterbacks in pass-heavy offenses. We put them in lots of 3rd and Long situations and let them convert some we due to bad tackling. This is bend but don't break football. We shouldn't have allowed as many as we did, but our play by a select few allowed it. We shut down their entire passing game and almost all of their yards came on yards after catch. They were throwing screens and 2-yard gains for the 4 completions I saw. 1 breakdown or it would have been 3 for 14 against Washington. This defense is fine, why are you ragging on it? We'll need to adjust for teams like Wisconsin and perhaps Iowa. Bo knows how to do this and will manage. We are running what we should. Remember what we did to Daniel Thomas?

Secondary is the tits today. Need to man up and stop the run the run defense looks a bit sissy today. Niles sucks, he needs to stop dropping balls. That and a good forced fumble have this game in Texas favor. Get a pick or two in the next half and we can pull this back to a game if our offense settled down and finishes plays.

and cheer as the winners go by

Chance of finding someone who raises a longhorn steer like you would an angus so that the marbling is right and the age of the animal is not too high before slaughter is small.

Rocking the Polish beers on tap, probably Warka then going home and celebrating with some Crown Cask 16 if we win.
