Can you say double standard?

It remains to be seen if Mora is the answer for the Bruins, so we'll have to see.
He's not, and we won't...

Today's blurb from the OWH...
Cornerback Raymond FordThe 5-foot-10, 165-pound teammate of recent Husker linebacker commit Thomas Brown gave his weekend trip a big thumbs up.
“I liked everything about Nebraska,” Ford said. “Everyone out there was nice. All the fans were nice. They were really welcoming.”
UCLA — the school he committed to before a coaching change — and SMU are still squarely in the picture.
"Nice" huh? Not the most exciting adjective he could have used. Still I gotta like our chances over SMU and UCLA's Mora hire doesn't exactly dazzle either.

When they're trying to get them to Notre Lame it does.

Yeah, the players should definitely stay away from Twitter until after the last game. Tahj Boyd kept tweeting, in a negative conxtext, this season about our coaches, players and defense. That gave a bunch of fuel to our guys and ended with Melvin Ingram sacking him, standing over him and saying, "You need to stop Tweeting."
Also it led to this funny pic
It is a very funny story, considering it never happened. The USC coaching staff made up the tweets as motivation.
Guess it worked for them...

The NCAA is favoring the big boys again? Nooooo!

We might as well get a proven commodity since Bo encourages his guys to jump ship and take better jobs anyway. Why worry about the hot shots using this as a stepping stone when there's no one encouraged to be loyal anyway. Not that I'm saying it's wrong to move up....just might as well make Nebraska a place for proven coaches instead of a learning pedestal.
I'm seeing this word a lot lately. It doesn't really apply here. This is a business, and these coaches aren't buying into the fandom that we hold. We have loyalty. The coaches have jobs. In their profession, if they can get a promotion and make more money, they would be fools to stay at any school based on loyalty.
Those of us who work for someone else (as in, we don't own our own businesses), would any of you stay at your current position if you were offered a better position, better title, half again or twice as much money, and the chance to further your career? I know I'd be gone from my current job in two weeks if that opportunity came along.
You'd wait that long? That in itself is a pretty loyal act in today's world.

Wow what a moron! It's big money weasels like Delaney and the rest of the BCS pumpers (I'm looking right at you Harvey Nerdman ) that are keeping the sport of CFB from advancing past the corrupt joke it's been for the bulk of it's existence. Seriously how much longer a fans going to continue to support a system this unjust and broken? O well, as long as our DONU has a seat at the big boys table who really cares. Never mind the fact that NU and schools like it will only be getting moved farther and farther from the head of that table where Daddy's favorites down south are firmly entrenching themselves. Money talks and bullsh#t walks ay?
Sadly I find myself caring less and less about the sport every year and It's only a matter of time (prob a couple SEC vs. SEC national championships from now) before I stop giving a sh#t entirely.....

Good bye Carl, good luck at FAU.
Ha ha! If Carl knew that young aTm hottie was checking out his ass he would have been on it like white on rice. Instead of going after the guy with the cell phone camera.

Has anyone brought his name up? Because of the stuff at Miami, he may not get another quick chance to be a HC again just because of public perception, even though he doesn't appear to be getting tied to that. But, think we could easily see him as DC at a major program again soon.
Looks like you just did...

Haven't read any of the thread, but I just bought the game last night so I'll be sure to return to the discussion once I've advanced above noob status a bit.

I wrongly assumed this thread was from 2008...pretty sure he has been this since then minus a few games this season.
Good point.
You know I keep hearing statements like this on the board, but I haven't seen or heard a lick of evidence supporting it elsewhere. Got anything to back this up?

No it's Suh who eats babies, Tebow is the one saving them. Haven't you been watching ESPN?
Tebow = Suh =

Ahhhh how refreshing, a 3+ page transfer thread and it's still only the last week of Nov. This is gonna be one entertaining offseason....

Your thread title is misleading, because that is actually a huge whopping dose of perspective.
No, this is a huge, whopping dose of perspective:
That's deep dude.

Nah. My spiffy new Blackshirts hat with the B1G logo on the side is as far as I'm going with my new conference pride.

I think the answer is quite possibly. I do think the B1G will get 2 BCS teams, I just don't know if it would be the loser of the CCG.
Basically, you have 10 spots, with 6 going to the conference champions, one to SEC#2, and one to Boise. That leaves 2 left:
If Stanford somehow makes the mNC game, the Rose will select another PAC school. If Stanford doesn't, only one PAC school will go because they don't travel that well and there is no big name LA school having a great year (USC, UCLA).
They definitely won't take 2 Big East schools, and probably not want 2 ACC schools either. The exception to this is if a Clemson were to go undefeated and then lose in their CCG.
This leaves room for one B1G school and one Big XII school. So yes, I see a second B1G school going...
This post (and the convoluted system that makes it necessary) is proof positive that CFB's post season is seriously BROKEN!

But, but, these coaches are in such high demand if we don't pay them increasingly exorbitant salaries they just might..... GASP! Find a better paying job. Wait, that would be impossible for most of these professionally pigeonholed clowns. O well, as long as our tax funded universities aren't suffering financially and academically at the same time truck loads of cash are being promised to these "public employees"..... Ah damn never mind!
