  1. Sanders said he never actually spoke to Blake. "They make it seem like I have all this knowledge," Sanders says. "I really didn't."

Wait the NCAA would never use statements out of context to make there case appear stronger than it actually is would they? Nah...

My favorite quote was from his attorney, "When someone tells you that you don't need an attorney," Beaver says, "hire two." Ain't that the truth!

  2. I think he has great ideas. The problem is, goverment just like schools cant be run like a business because people wont let that happen, even though they should.

Take school for example. Lets say you own a company that sells fruit, if you have some bad fruit at your store you just throw it out. If it happens to again then you throw it out and see what the issue is. If the issue is your workers not storing it properly then you correct and if they still dont do it right, you replace them. If the fruit is coming to you bad then you find a new place to buy it from.

In schools, public ones, you dont get to just "replace" the bad kids or in some cases the bad teachers. You cant just get "new" good students.

trust me, I wish schools could be run like a business!

Bullsh#t, this was practically school policy at Grand Island Senior High....

  3. I'm glad Bo called the fans out. That booing crap is ridiculous and makes us look horrible! If you're gonna do that keep your butt at home!

Idk they paid for their ticket just like everyone else. If they choose to boo their team when they're down they have every right to. I'm sure 99% of them also feel pretty dumb about it now. But who's to say it didn't actually help. Let's face it, there are few better motivators than the fear of epic televised failure.

  4. I to like the attitude as well. Time will tell how well it works for NU. What I like more though, is the consistent statements made about a "no B.S." recruiting message. Sure Nebraska will lose some talent to the night life of places like southbeach and L.A., But when the coaches and players can get guys on board even with out those incentives, then more often than not that player is focused on the important parts of being a student athlete. Like being a student and an athlete first, and an out of control college age party animal last. :D:wasted

  5. Gilbert coughs up the ball a lot.

    So does our QB.

exactly, we don't need two of them. Besides sounds like he is transferring to SMU to be with Cody Green.

    Green transfered to Tulsa.

Edit: Not that it matters much. He wouldn't see the field at either school.

  6. I don't think Bo had anything to do with it. I believe Beck was pleased with what he saw and gave the order to knee it.

make no mistake, Beck is running the offense, but this was Bo's call......not Beck's.

Who cares either way? This thread is pointless.

It's posts like this that tend to come back and bite you in the ass.

I'd be more concerned about the sheeps' asses. In view of what that Wyoming guy said.

Idk, the Virginian seems like a give and take kind of guy. I bet he's a really generous lover.

  9. Why all the fuss about schedules? Have any of you looked at some of the big and mighty SEC teams scheds? At least NU and the B1G attempt to play games outside their immediate geographic locations. Seriously, IIRC UGA's non-con game against OkSt last season was the first game any SEC team had played east of the Mississippi in something like 18 years!

Sure everyone would love to play a high caliber opponent every week, but it's just not that simple. Especially considering that non-cons are being scheduled further and further in advance and even mid level teams want more and more cash to play BCS level schools. Sure, schedule making may sound easy to us pleebs, but this isn't NCAA FB on our PS3s. AD's don't get the luxury of building A+ rated scheds at the beginning of each season. No, in reality a team you scheduled as a marquee game can become a mediocre contest when one team or the other falls on their collective faces by the time the game is played. (Miami 2014?)

Just think, we could be fans of a team like KSU who openly admits to playing patsies exclusively. Hell they where even willing to pay off teams they'd already scheduled to avoid playing a tough opponent.... Trust me, our schedules could be much much worse.
