  1. The trap is most effective as a change of pace play. I see Lucky to the strong side, early and often. But a part of me hopes they'll throw an 80 yrd bomb, for 6. then start the next drive with a 70/30 run pass ratio. We'll soon see!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  2. I think ST will play a big part in this game early on. We have to prove we have a reliable return game. WMU's is more experienced and may give them some opportunities to score.

I agree with more of a 60/40 ratio, if only to let Ganz find that game speed rythme again.

Won't be surprised if WMU can put up a score in the mid 20s or even 30s.

    NU 35 WMU 24

  3. 100MB!!! It's not like your risking your life over there or anything! Things like this reslly piss me off. I mean all the wasted cash we're throwing into these miserable places, and we can't let our troops download from the internet! F&@# that! Now some moron congressman is trying to pass a law so service men can't receive magazines like playboy. STOP TAKING THE FREEDOMS OF THOSE FIGHTING FOR OURS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! A-HOLES!

  4. Gotta like the two deep here if both continue to improve. Still think we'll see a lot of Thenarse, and not just on ST. We aren't in a possition where we can redshirt him, so let's hope he get's it pretty quick.

  5. I don't know alot about O'Hanlon, but I'd like to see Thenarse, that guy can hit! But if he just isn't gettin it, then best man plays.

Either way both should see early looks until they really get game tested.

  6. How many of you remember who the QB was or even how his individual stats were the year the Baltimore Ravens won the Super Bowl? If the Huskers win, what else really matters? Freeman or any other QB can have their stats, if we get the victory. It's all about role playing and the team effort. If we run every down and win, do you care if Ganz's stats were cool or not?

What were the stats of the QB for LSU when they won the NC. Who cares? Only the also ran!

    :yeah

As for not being sold on Ganz. I don't think I've seen a guy come in and take over a game, and finish out the season the way he did last year. He's shown his mental grasp of the offense and the physical ability to gain yards when a play breaks down. He made some haedy plays last year. And for a guy with dozen or so snaps previous, he made it look pretty easy.

If our O line is a s improved as they say Ganz won't have to be superman. Just be patient in the offense ala: Zac Taylor,: and hopefully he won't have to put it up 50 times and take hits in the pocket.

I'm more concerned with our WRs keeping there hands on the football. There where some ugly drops in the spring game. If thats not remedied, then they'll HAVE to run, and run, and run some more!

Overall I think Ganz can, and will be better than Reesing come November. But we soon shall see. :horns2

  7. :yeah

JGS30 who are you getting all these quotes from? Is it possible your projecting some of your pent up frustrations on to us husker fans? I mean you just said KU had an argument for the NC! It could be said Both teams backed into that game last year. But do you honestly think you should have been in over OU? I dought you do.

Relax boys come back down to earth for a bit. And please stop with the idea that NU needs to catch up with KU or MU. We need to get back on track, yes. But if you think we have suddenly become the Duke of the Big 12 your sadly mistaken. And that goes for all the "Show me somethin' first" Husker fans too. :rant

Let's see some college football already! :madash

  8. I would've definately liked to see Lucky in the Top 5 running back list. I think he is a really good running back, but I guess we'll see here shortly now won't we. I am surprised he is giving us any kind of love though.

:yeah Now had Lucky not "taken it easy" in the middle of last year, he might be getting a little more pre season attention. Considering he is the Big 12 returning leader in rush yds & rec yds for a RB.

  9. I think it is funny how some Nebraska fans diss Kirk just because of the greatest team ever contest. People talk about how he doesn't respect our history and he hates nebraska. If I remember correctly Herbsteit always gave us a lot of respect before we started our decline. I mean so what he doesn't think the 95 nebraska team isn't the greatest ever. Why do you hate a guy so much for having a different opinion. It isn't like his opinion is unjust, I don't agree with it but I see his point. You act like he has been hatin on us his whole career.

Yeah, its time to get over it.

Have you even listened to this guy in the last several years. He disrespects the huskers AND big 12 all the time! You can keep kissing his ass, me I can't stand bias that blatant, unless it's from a huskerboard member of course!

  10. Jessie Palmer hasn't been a horrible "anaylist", more of a safe pick kind of guy. And someone needs to teach that chick to read the telepromter AND blink at the same time. Seriously!

Don't see Freeman going #1. He does have a live arm, but inaccurate for the most part. His mobility was far overrated out of H.S.

Vince young was a better runner and more accurate, and he went third. Granted there may have been more talent in 06.

  11. I gravitated here for similar reasons. And I agree about the banter. Everyone throws a jab or two, that's expected. But some boards just collapse into idiotic pissing contests within a few posts. And it gets sooooo old!

Here's to a great board; and the wonderful season to come! :cheers

  12. Aside from that last one and the horse creating the rainbow (wtf) those aren't too bad.

What about your coach looking like the bad guy from Fargo? I assume that has been pointed out before.

    First I'd heard of it..Linkn

I thought Bo looked like Don Adams (Get Smart) after the dreaded "Hooded Cone of Silence" misshap stretched the area between his nose and upper lip.

This guy played a good satan in the movie constantine. Now we know who will play Bo in the big screen version of his life story.

My favorite Bo his the Mike Tyson punchout one, good stuff!

  13. The only thing I won't enjoy about our future turn around; is the fact that Herbz will inevitably say that it took an OSU guy to turn around the Huskers! Right or not, this guy really PISSES me off!

Kirk, 95' Huskers best team ever, deal with it!

NO praise from me, not now, not EVER!!!
