  1. Foppa hit it right on the head. It looked like they were trying to punch out the ball more than trying to actaully stop the run...once they actually did catch up to the RB.

On another note about this game; we lost the momentum when they fumbled and returned it for an additional xx yards to the Husker 45. Then the long injury time out took away our momentum. Now the "if." IF we would have recovered the fumble and punched it in, It would have given us a better chance of winning. Those two incidents, that occured back to back, took the wind out of our sails regardless of the defense. IMO.

  2. Not suprising, with Callahan being on the hot seat, he needs Purify to play against USC. So much for Callahan being a tough disciplinarian. With Callahan trying to save his own neck, he will create another huge black eye for the program.

Dramatic much? Gimme a friggin break. The only hot seat Callahan is on is the one that Husker fans such as yourself put him on.

But I suppose you are right. It's not like he drug a girl down multiple flights of stairs... :corndance

Mark my words, during the USC game, we will hear about how he was reinstated just in time to play the #1 team, but if that doesn't bother you so be it.

No, he was just guilty of 4 law infractions, was charged with 2 different assault charges, and didn't keep his word to his coach and team. No big deal there, huh? But he got a year's probabation so it's all okay. Whatever.

Callahan knows he has to prove it this year, or it is going to get very sticky in Lincoln, and more fans will be calling for his head.

[no brainer]Mark your words? Well of course the media is gonna jump all over it; it's their job (or the only reason they have one.)[/no brainer]

  3. I am pleased as well. If you look at what he was working with during the past couple of years (this includes recruitng players to run the offense, teach them the plays, etc) I feel we'll keep getting better each season. Soon we'll be back to being an automatic Top 5-10 team in preseason polls again. GBR!

  4. I guess I am now a single man. After I broke the remote after the Purify fumble , she stormed out and called me insane. She left me a message saying that she is looking for something else. I left her a messege telling her to go find herself a CU football fan.(she is from here in Colorado) Do I take Husker football too seriously , or should I just find me a nice Nebraska girl , like my mom tells me I need to?

What about a nice New York girl? I did the same thing, except I think mine is some what fixable. My cell phone on the hand got out alive with no bad damage..Those razr's arent as sensetive as people think!

Hmmm...could we have a husker love match in the making? <_<

  5. Everytime Callahan has opened up the passing playbook we have moved the ball almost at will. Our constantly improving running game has helped to make this happen.

Cally needs to come out of his "NFL shell" and just turn this offense loose on Saturday night; and I think he will.

  6. I think our boys will be pumped up for this game in the same way they were for the Texas game. No one is giving us much of a chance and the same went for that game. I think we are going to surprise some people after Saturday.........

When has anyone given Nebraska much of a chance? I remember the pregame talk before the '95 Fiesta Bowl. Spurrier was going to throw all over us. :LOLtartar

  7. Eh, I disagree with Unsportsmanlike Conduct. I think we used those plays to really get in the heads of both the players and coaches of CU. (Remember last year when we ran the hurry up offense and the option against CU?) Cally was fooking with Barnett.

They were, for the better part of the second half, the laughing stock of College Football on 24 November 2006.

Hell, if my 80 yr old Nebraska Native grandmother who lives in Colorado got a kick out of them, I am sure a majority of the nation was equally impressed.
