Woah... really? With Read's vaunted "let everyone stand around while 6 guys swarm the return man" punting unit, he will have no problems finding a new job.
Best of luck shitbag
Yes, really. Punt returns and kickoff returns were absolutely terrible this year. Or was the shitbag comment too much?
Yes, it was too much.

I'd rather lose every remaining game than see Armstrong play a single down if he's not 100% good to go concussion wise. Ain't no kid's future worth a win or two in a game.
Agreed

I was in Houston during Phi Slama Jama, so that'll be good.

Any word on the 30 For 30 on the 90's era Huskers? I thought it was supposed to come out right before football season.

4 well respected leaders worked together on this decision. They know way more than any of us regarding this situation. I'm good with what they did.
This is exactly how I feel.

Considering that I'm that concussion +20 years. I had 4 between the ages of 8-14, and I can tell you now that I"m 20 years later from my last I am encountering all sorts of problems. Depression, anxiety, I have a hard time focusing on things that I use to just dive into and enjoy. I can't watch movies without getting frustrated by sitting still. I can't enjoy video games any more except a few. I have a hard time with jobs that require a lot of concentration, I'm argumentative about everything, I have a hard time hanging on to relationships, and that is just 20 years.I like this move. Darlington has been getting juiced in the weight room. Could be a decent posession wr. Imo the concussion thing is overblown.
TBI is a huge problem, and your response is a slap in the face to someone who is dealing with it on a daily basis.
That's pretty raw, thanks for sharing it with us.

A bad taste from the Riley era? We know this already after only one year?
Ding ding ding...we have a winner. It's also not his fault either. It's more of sour taste in fans' mouth from the Callahan and Riley eras.
Assuming he is a WCO guy (learned under Cally and Sherman), so he would never be welcome here by a large chunk of our fan base.Taylor's going to be looking for a job as soon as this season is done. Dolphins are about to clean house.
I think he's going to have plenty of opportunity. It'll be great to get him back to Nebraska at some point -- also great for him to get some more seasoning, and then who knows.

It's gonna be a loooong off season.

If there is a program we "want to be" it would be Ohio State or Alabama, someone with a sustained run. If Iowa puts together 2 more seasons when they're in the playoff discussion in November, then maybe. And expecting your team to do well with the resources they have is not stuck in any other time but the present. Dirk started to look like he wanted to stop being a hack, but I guess we always regress to the mean.

Can any of the mods explain why AFHusker is repeatedly allowed to call our QB and other posters retards?
Yes mods please help here. There are parents of special needs kids 9n this board, including me.

On twitter I just learned from @Nickespn1480 that Tommy walked out of practice because Langs was on him for his decision making
If true tommy should've been on the bench despite the consequences.

This is none, absolutely none of any of our business.
This.

I saw him once at Millard North but did not talk to him. He was outside the gym and smiling. Recruiting I'm sure. He's not a monster just terribly flawed. He did so many positive things at DONU that it's sad to think he feels the way he (apparently) does.

He needs more help than simply moving back home and taking a low-pressure job. He needs professional psychiatric help. I hope for his sake, and the sake of people around him, he gets it.
Seriously.
Yeah, it's pretty clear there's something seriously wrong.

I have a friend who saw Shawn and Steve shopping together at the Gap.
I heard that too, they were looking at matching polos.

I'm going to admit my part in taking this thread down the wrong road. My apologies to the board.

It kinda was.
The entire point of the article. (Hint: It wasn't about Bo.)
Still in the denial phase. Only four more to go!He got blown out in some games
Some games include: 52-17 against Missouri, 62-28 against Oklahoma, 31-10 against Texas Tech, (let's not forget 9-7 against Iowa State), 48-17 against Wisconsin, 45-17 against Michigan, 30-13 against South Carolina, 63-38 against Ohio State, 70-31 against Wisconsin (again), 41-21 against UCLA (after being up 21-0), 38-17 against Iowa, and 59-24 against Wisconsin (again).
The way the author put that is to discount those blowouts like there weren't that many, which is completely false. 11 blowouts in 7 years, that's a little over 1.5 a year, I don't think you'll find another Power 5 program who got blown out more during that time frame. Winning doesn't erase that.
Furthermore, perhaps Bo was right for outting the fans, and perhaps he's right about the administration (who knows?). But being right isn't always good (i.e., people who doubted the Mike Riley hire), and there was no person more responsible for creating a divide between fans and team than Bo and a few coaches on his coaching staff.
It's funny that if you look at Bo's years at Nebraska, from a qualitative perspective, 2010--Bo's 3rd year--was his best year at Nebraska, that 3rd year that I've been saying is so pivotal for figuring out what kind of coach you have. Mike Riley's went 5-6 in his 3rd year at Oregon State, which isn't a good sign of what he might do here (and has been documented and accepted as a legitimate criticism of the hire), and it's no surprise that his overall record at Oregon State hovered around that win percentage. It's also been documented and accepted that Nebraska is a little more advantageous place than Oregon State and perhaps Mike Riley will be able to do here what he couldn't do at OSU.
It's going to take patience, so if you have none, it might be more advantageous for you to spend time fishing rather than on the board.
Point out what I'm denying.

There is so much wrong with what you just said.I wont make any excuses for LP but as a foster parent and an adoptive parent of a children from a broken home with abuse I can understand what is going on with him. We have under gone therapy for 7 years and we are talking about a child that came to us at 15months and 6 months old which had issues of abuse as it is ingrained into the childs brain and it is very hard for them to make the right choices even though they know it is wrong to do. Again what he did was wrong and there are punishments for it but what you don't understand with him and alot of these people that make the wrong choice is that is the way their brain tells them to act even if they know it is wrong. If you dont get therapy as a child it is almost imposible to change as an adult because your brain is set in your ways. I mean how would you like it if your mother sat there and watched a man abuse you day after day growing up and not doing anything to stop it your brain would tell you it is ok for violence. The man held LP on the ground with his foot and would piss on him how would that make you feel day in an day out as a child.
Care to spell it out?
