That is very suprising that Giles would look at those SEC schools.. I always thought we were very close to getting Giles but I guess not.. It would be great to steal a guy from Tennessee with their caliber but I am not worried about a RB in this class. A wide receiver would be nice!!

True. RB is not the biggest need. But how about DT? Edwin Herbert a 4 JC DT committed to Tenn. shows as having a Nebraska offer.

Yeah no kidding a DT would be nice too.. I think we will get a DT recruit though.. Sutton or one of those guys.. and we have to remember that Steinkuhler RS so he should be a boost to the DLine (if he stays on that side of the ball.. Just red on volnation.com and it pretty much states that if the RB coach is gone for UT then so is Giles.. and their fans didnt sound too confident on him staying.. Oku on the other hand says that he is going to wait and see who the new coach is and if it is the same offense and if he likes the coach.. Sounds morel like Giles is looking more to another school than Oku.. Either one would be nice for Nebraska.. Lets just get some recruits!!

So Fullmer is gone from UT at the end of the year (According to ESPN). We need to be all over Giles and Oku now because I don't think they are going to stay with that mess. Hopefully they would like to be teammates here.

This is really starting to piss me off.. I know many people are wondering why O'Hanlon is still gettting so much PT of Thenarse.. The guy is seriously getting picked on and something needs to change.. My 14 year old brother can see that they are going at O'hanlon when passing and atleast 2 of the long runs is because O'Hanlon gets stiffed arm and there they go.. It's horrible.. and how can their Kicker kick it in the end zone and Kunalic can't.. What a horrible first 5 minutes that nobody could have predicted.. Come on Boys...

Green has also been playing...all Lee and Witt have been doing is warming the bench. I like the size of Green...adds to the running game. Sounds like he is smart, and I think if he comes in early he can get up to speed with the plays, Keller did it didn't he? And the playbook was more like the NYC telephone directory then. Maybe if Bo is thinking that his QB will be Green next year, he doesn't have to get Lee or Witt into a game, that is why he isn't playing them when conventional wisdom says he should?

Have to remember that Keller already had college experience and sat out a year with the scout team at Nebraska before he even played a snap with Nebraska.. I could see him playing next but not starting from Day 1. I see us using him like Ohio State used Pryor at the beginning of the year..

I was thinking we didn't have one for Lowe yet. The question I had for him was if he was pretty solid on Oklahoma State or do we have a shot?

I will throw out a True freshmen even though this is for our redshirts. I could see Chris Williams playing an OLB position for us. Both of our starters are seniors this year and the kid just makes plays. To get 5A Defensive Player of the Year you have to know how to make plays. The guy is gifted. Now he just needs to stay with his words.. ( I feel LSU coming)

For those in touch with the recruiting of this kid, do you think he would look elsewhere if Fulmer were to get the axe?

I really dont think so.. When he visited Tennessee he talked more about his "guide" then anything else.. but when a coach gets fired it is a very big deal on the recruiting side.. When you dont know what the future holds then some of those recruits get a little scared and go to a different school. I would like him or Giles to come to this school but both sound solid to UT.

Also, did anyone else see who made one of the last tackles of the game when their running back bounced it outside to the right? I couldn't see the # well, looked like a 15 or a 5, but he was definitely a d-back and he came up aggressive and blew up the play. Thought it might be Thenarse, but isn't he #3? Anyways, whoever it was, needs to see more PT!! Loved the aggressiveness and the solid tackling!!

 

It was Anthony West. He's definitely an aggressive player, which caused him to blow some assignments earlier in the year, but it seems like he's improving a bit.

Hmm.. My dad asked me and I'm pretty sure it was Dennard. He came up and took the RB's legs right out. Pretty good play by a CB.

Is Giles still solid on Tenn? I know we were in his top 3 with Clemson and with a the firing of Bowden at Clemson you think we would have the best shot.. I would love to see us steal Giles now that Oku is gone.

Texas Tech throws way more than Mizzou. They dont have the running attack that Mizzou and Harrell isnt as dangerous as Daniel out of the pocket (even though I dont remember Daniel taking off ever) I think their defense isnt as solid as Mizzou (neither are good). If we dont rush for atleast 150 yards I think we will be in trouble. I dont know if anyone has mentioned this yet but our secondary just gets picked a part when we sit in zone. We would stop Mizzou for the first two downs and then sit in zone and let Daniel find the receiver that found a hole in the defense. I would much rather see us play aggressive man defense instead of getting picked apart play after play. WE NEED TO RUN THE BALL!!!

I am having a problem with my PS3. I have been playing alot of NCAA 09 and lately after like a half hour or sometime even sooner, the Ps3 will just turn off and the green light turns red and just sits there. Is my fan out or am I just in big trouble. Any help?

Great News!!!!! I just talked to the manager at Boston's (Off LaCrosse between the Mall and Outback Steakhouse) and he said that they are getting the WM vs. Nebraska game this saturday!!! He also said that they will probably televise all the Husker games this year (PPV and regular broadcasts) Like I previously stated, I am most likely starting a Husker Alumni chapter for the Blackhills area and would like to make Boston's the official watch site for the Husker games. Please join us at Boston's for the games. The more Husker fans that we have show up will put us on priority for the big screens, service, and the best seating. Boston's was packed with all Nebraska fans!! I didnt think it would spread that fast in one week. I was really surprised. Good Job BigReadWeatherMan!!

So excited for this weekend at Boston's!!! Go Big Red.. and I am 21 this football season.. how great is that??
