Scott Boras is Bubba Starling's advisor, he is a top 5 pick, there is no chance he will end up at Nebraska. He'd really be doing himself a disservice to not take this opportunity. A multi-million dollar signing bonus for doing absolutely nothing will not always be available, college with the means to pay for it himself will be. Really would love to watch him play at NU but we all know he isn't going to, and nobody should blame him.

My fiancée teaches middle school at Gardner and actually coached him in track while he was in junior high. Kid is a great all around athlete from what I have seen and from the stories she told me a real high character kid. I would love to see him in a Nebraska uniform.

That's a big WTF. What receiver targets are we even going after then? Perhaps there is more of an offensive shakeup than we all realize? I'm not on the staff so I have no clue as to what is going on recruiting wise, but this one makes you scratch your head.

Rumor is it's now a 2 way race between NU and Oregon.

 

He is rumored to favor NU and the coaches above the other programs, but he feels he wants to stay close to home due to family. I'm going to guess the kid is staying in Oregon due to having so many younger siblings.

 

The kid seems like a good character kid as well as an outstanding football player. Keeping my fingers crossed we can land him.

Can we not send out beacons to MethU fans please. Let's not give them any reason to come over here and pollute our board.

I sure as hell hope the Gabbert's don't have any more sons. I can't go through this crap anymore.

 

At least we can look forward to pummeling a Gabbert for the next 5 years. Family has 0 class.

It's on Curtis Carter's facebook page, his words, not someone else. He posted earlier how pumped he was about the Mizzou coaches coming for an inhouse which took place on Sunday. What is irritating we go through a coaching change and lose 75% of the class, we have success and we still get poached? What gives? I don't see KU's class or ND class jetting

According to facebook, Curtis Carter has decommitted. Some of the Mizzou comments are shameful. Why can't we protect our recruits?

Man are we bitter or what. We lost the game because we kicked the ball out of bounds and then got a dumb horse caller penalty. We kicked the ball off with the lead and there wasn't anything the refs did on that last possession to prevent us from winning that game. The ball hit out of bounds with 1 second left as the replay clearly showed. Unless this is not a reviewable play or some other rule I'm not aware of, how did the refs cost us the game?

Mizzou did a in-home visit yesterday fyi.

I'm as big of a husker fan/recruiting fan as there is but I find it kinda, for lack of a better word, pathetic that people get on a teenagers myspace or facebook account. It's borderline stalking and if I were a recruit it would freak me the hell out.

Pretty sure that Bosnian is a teenager himself, makes much less weird IMO.

as a fellow high school football player it is less frowned upon. He's not talking to him for the sole purpose to get him to attend NU.. he is talking to him as a fellow football recruit.

 

Didn't Blaine Gabbert get on the phone and call up our recruits and get a few to switch to Missouri after he de-committed? If that's not a violation, then I think Bosnian Husker asking him how his visit went is going to be ok. People need to chill out.

No freakouts please... What are your reactions to this win?

2. Watson... improved or not?

3. Receivers improved?

4. O-line, better or worse?

 

We will be lucky to be bowl eligible after dropping that game to IA state. No way we beat Oklahoma or Kansas.

Anyone heard if we are going to be tendering this guy an offer in 2011? Or who are 2011 QB targets are?

My wife to be actually coached him in track and taught him when he was middle school. A phenomenal athlete and likely wants to play both baseball and football. Had a 93 mph fastball as a sophomore. Just wanted to see if anyone had any info. He shows NU has a school of interest.

Any details on when the game time will be or if it is going to be televised?
