I don't think that he will start but I think that he will see some playing time right away. I would like to see Ross get around 15 carries a game, Jackson getting 5, and Lucky getting about 3-5 carries with about that many receptions a game.

I agree . I think that it will start this way . Corey Ross has alot of heart. Dificult to sit this guy. Lucky to me will be the wildcard. If he starts having good outings his playing time will keep increasing IMO.

We actually have a pretty diverse group around here, mainly b/c the board doesnt forbid "friendly fire". I know most other boards ban fans from other schools almost immediately. Yeh most of em show up during the CF season to either ask us how things are going, or occassionally try to throw some gas on the wound. Overall most are pretty respectful - a few Kstaters get a little lippy, but we've come to expect nothing less than the lowest from those class acts.

Being isolated from the local coverage of the football program, I am very grateful to the Huskerboard and all of the members . Thanks for being part of my daily routine.

Even if it isn't that matchup at quarterback the other positions could make it a fun game to watch.

I dunno, watching NU get beat by 60 points (again, thanks cosgrove) would be pretty embarrassing.

Don't worry about that ever happening again, now that we're climbing out of the horrid state that Frank left us in we'll be beating teams by 60 again real soon. With the great AD and coach we have now it's destined to happen.

 

 

 

I would bet anything you want that NU getting beat by 60 will happen before they beat anyone decent by 60. One recruiting class aint gonna cure what ails NU.

Yes we did get beat pretty bad in a transition year . ( Playing kids that were not used to our new scheme. ) We left our defense on the feild ALOT because of an inept offence. Not this year. Ther will be a thing called balance. Yes the men we are bringing in right now are just that. TALENT. I hope you have deep pockets FF.

The only 2 gimmies should be Maine and Wake, but with this staff, who knows???

I agree with you. they have talent to reload. This talent is green. I dont recall seeing there starters seeing the bench too often. They were after a nat"l title last year because of the number of seniors. They will be real good. But in my opinion wont be nearly as good as last year. Key positions are inexperienced. We will give them everything they want in Lincoln.

He seems very aware of NUs tradition, which is important. also one of the main reasons he chose NU was, believe it or not, b/c we are a cold weather state!! said there was sometghin about playing in cold temps that just made it seem real. mainly b/c of his idol, Favre.

I think that he knows as well that he can be the very first pro style QB that becomes a star at N. Thus creating his own legacy.

This is the third time Ryan, five star QB, has switched back to LSU. He had been committed to Texas for the last few months now, but made a huge change on signing day. How's that for a kick in the nuts horns

oklahoma, didnt we? correct me if im wrong but wasnt reggie the only top gun guy we didnt steal from okie?? to me that is unbelievable especially after teh run OU has been on. this isnt the 90s when were at the top and ou the bottom.roles are reversd, and we just got done punking OU outta Roark (and probably Roark JR) Dillard (one of most promosing commits IMO) and someon else no?

We have got two of the top four prep players in Ok. Dilliard and Roark. Two very mature talented studs. We also got Zac Taylor from juco (Butler C.C.). He is originaly from Norman High, Norman Ok. So yes we did really good in the enemy teritory. The coaches should be comended for going the extra mile. (or in this case about 600).

Well, it sucks he isn't coming here. He had to have been under quite a bit of pressure to stay in state though.

Now Stoops can move out of the Smiths extra bedroom.

Think about what it would do for recruiting to win these games.

Channel 4 news out of Oklahoma City just said that Reggie Smith has eliminated Nebraska as one of his choices. They said it is down to Oklahoma and USC, if that is true, lets hope it is USC.

Reggie has been very adament about the fact that all three schools were equal. I honestly dont think that he is going to make public with signing day tomorow that one is eliminated. Besides OLE Bob Barry on channel 4 anounces O.U. football on local radio.

You'll think this is funny...Have friend whose daughter goes to school w/Reggie. She said he has been wearing a different hat (ou, nu and usc) everyday since the start of last week.

I don't believe he will be holding a press conference. Last I heard anyway.

I don't know what to say.....This is the best recruiting class ever at Nebraska....IF IF we get 29 of the 31 committs to sign ....BC will have what he needs to get us back into the hunt..........

Wow, this is GREAT NEWS. Im completely blown away by this recruiting class with or without REGGIE. This kid is really good. We are beating out some stiiff competition for these recruits. What coach was working on this player? Whoever it was Great Job!!!!!!!!!!!!

Something I noticed about this guy. I was watching film of Zac Taylor. It seemed that most of Zacs passes in B.C.C. were heading this guys way. Frantz spent most of his games behind the secondary deep ,with good success. These two definently looked like they had good chemistry.

Size and speed. You cant teach either. We have alot of recruits in this mold. That is just what we needed.
