  7. http://www.planetforward.com/videos/the-ethanol-solution So I made this documentary for a PBS special called Planet Forward. PBS picks the finalists based on how many views/ratings it gets. The top videos will air on PBS during a primetime special. So, if you guys wouldn't mind, please check out the video. And let me know what you think! I worked really hard on this. And it's out of my comfort zone (entertainment). So I'm eager to hear what people think. Details for the show. Planet Forward April 15th 7PM Central Hosted by Emmy Award-winning CNN veteran Frank Sesno And if you like it, take the time to rate and comment on the site. I would really appreciate it. Thanks guys
  8. I have to be honest, I didn't get to hear them because we were interviewing Slipknot during their performance. But i talked with the lead singer briefly backstage, he was really laid back and was nice to everyone, even the custodian who walked by (helped him open the door). From what I heard though their set was terrible, and their songs were not very good. They do have a few really good ones though. Again, I didn't see it myself though so this is based on what others said.
  9. lol i thought it was weird how he didn't know. he's worn the mask for 10 years! both bands were very cool and down to Earth. Trivium especially, we ate dinner with them afterwards. Just really cool guys, it was a pleasure to meet them

  11. Uh Oh! Now you're scaring me! I actually like Slipknot and I've even heard of Nickelback(Too country for my taste), Theory of a Deadman (Ditto), Hinder, Papa Roach, and I've even seen Saving Abel..They're letting you interview grownups, now? I have to admit I lol'd

We the Kings is an American pop band from Bradenton, Florida. They are signed to the independent label S-Curve Records (distributed by EMI Music), and their debut full-length album was released in October 2007. Since then they have completed a variety of tours, most recently the "Get that man a hat" co-headlining tour with The Academy Is.... The band also sports their own miniature series of webisodes, called The King's Carriage, detailing life on their tour bus. The band will begin recording their new album in January of 2009. They also released Secret Valentine EP digitally on December 16, 2008. In 2007 Cash Cash signed with Universal Republic and had to change their name due to legal reasons, choosing Cash Cash as their new moniker. Their first EP for Universal reached #24 on the Billboard Heatseekers chart.[1] The group then toured with Sing it Loud and Metro Station, among others.[2] Their debut full-length was released on December 23rd, 2008 on iTunes, and in stores everywhere January 20th, 2009 So yea, take a look and let me know what you think. And coming up in the next few weeks. Interviews with: Slipknot Nickelback Trivium Theory of a Deadman Hinder Saving Abel Papa Roach So rate, comment, subscribe, and let me know what you think! And Go Huskers 2009!!!
  13. lol these vids are too funny. Interview(s) will probably be NEXT Tuesday (not tomorrow). Hopefully I can get some good stuff.
  14. Maybe see if you can get them to open up about last year and their thoughts on how and why things are different this year? It's a good idea, but I think chances are you will get some a pretty common answer. "Our philosophy is not to look back. That was then, and this is now. We're looking ahead toward's next week." But yea, maybe if the interview was going in the right direction. Great ideas so far
  15. Hmmm, those are great ideas. That seems more like a video for after the season is over. I'm thinking more about preparations for the bowl game, how the team feels about playing in January, reflections on the season (favorite memory) or something like that. Thoughts?
  16. First off, for those of you that haven't seen any of the Husker videos I have done so far - take a look at these videos so you can get an idea of the style of videos I do. I want it to be interesting, fun, and take an angle you don't see on ESPN or the local sports news. <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wOAXmJ0Vi8s&hl=en&fs=1&color1=0x5d1719&color2=0xcd311b"></param><param'>http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wOAXmJ0Vi8s&hl=en&fs=1&color1=0x5d1719&color2=0xcd311b"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wOAXmJ0Vi8s&hl=en&fs=1&color1=0x5d1719&color2=0xcd311b" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object> <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value=" name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src=" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object> So I would like to do a final Husker Football video for the season to conclude an incredible year. That exciting come from behind win against Colorado, and being able to go to a Major Bowl Game this year is great news for the Huskers and their fans. I think everyone is pumped, and that a really cool video could be made out of this story. It's the last game of the season, and what an incredible turnaround season it was! Anyway, you guys have been very supportive of my work so far. So I would love to give everyone here an opportunity to chip in for this next and final Husker Football package. I'm welcome to anything from a general suggestion (talk about being able to play a bowl game this year), to a player you think I should interview. If you have an idea for an interesting theme (for example, the first video's theme was "What's It Like To Be A Husker.") then post it. I will keep you updated as things come along. But yea, feel free to get involved and let me know what you think. Hopefully this video can turn out well Thanks for any help in advance. - Bryan
  17. Yea, but setting up the interviews can take hours over a week or two timespan. Also, not every idea or interview goes through. Sometimes you will call 3 or 4 different people to set something up, only to be shut down last minute. The other hassle is once you have the interview, you have to edit it (which for a good video takes 3-4 hours, usually over several days). Working with HD with today's technology is still a pain in the ass as well (computer crashes, random issues, etc.) You're right though - in the end, having the opportunity to meet these people, and then putting the finished product out there for people to see is awesome. This weekend I am doing a media promotion tour in Omaha for this video. I'm going on several radio stations and shooting a commercial to promote this video's premiere on December 10th. Should be fun! I also want to do a final Bowl video on this year's Husker team... We'll see - Bryan
  18. In short, a LOT of hard work. But totally worth it for stuff like this!
  19. As for the song, "Shake It" was a Top 10 Billboard Hit, and has garnered 20 million video hits on YouTube. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EpU78IeTx_c And the band has sold 500,000 worldwide. Not bad for a debut album.
  20. I'm lost. You are a 'huge fan' who didnt own the CD, and only found '3 or 4 songs' you liked off the CD? Thats what I would call a fan. Hell I consider myself a huge music fan/buff and I have never heard of the band or song. I never said I was a huge fan. In fact, I didn't even say I was a fan until after the interview
  21. Well, I got a free copy of the album after the interview, and I thought it was pretty good. I found 3 or 4 songs I liked. But again, that's just me. To each his own, but I think it's important to be respectful of other people's music as well
  22. I don't think there is a good/bad style of music. Just whatever you are into.
  23. <object width="425" height="349"><param name="movie" value=" name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src=" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="349"></embed></object> So I know most of you are probably HUGE Metro Station fans But for those of you that don't know, they sing the song "Shake It", and the lead singer is the older brother of Miley Cyrus. Anyway, I got a backstage interview at their concert and really enjoyed the experience. Here's the video I put together. As always, comments/questions/feedback are welcomed! - Bryan
