It was a glorified practice & the defense was holding back.

I get what a spring game was, but last years "glorified practice" we put the ball on the ground several times. Watching running backs cover the ball this year is much more improved than last seasons "glorified practice" or regular season. Appreciate your t cents though

One of the biggest disappointments in the spring game is Alvano missing FGs.  That's something that is much less affected by the format of the game and it's probably way less of a stress situation than he will see all year next season.  And, he shanked some.

That's concerning.  He has some work to do this summer.

I am really hoping he can make some adjustments, but he has had since November to get things right and both of his kicks on Saturday were not close at both ends of the stadium. I really think the staff will give Nico Ottomanelli a good look when he gets on campus, or look in the Portal. When we have lost as many games in the last 3 years by single digit points, we cannot afford to not be confident at PK.

  3. After watching the Spring game again this morning, I am pleased with the ball security of our running backs. We struggled starting with the spring game of putting the ball on the floor and it carried over to the season. They did a much better job of having two hands on the ball through contact, including TE's and RB's on screen plays.

  4. I was amazed at how many times I saw our security really being over the top with our official and unofficial visitors. Yelling at them to take a step off the gate or to move somewhere else. I can understand if they are a regular fan, but when the visitors are saying they are shocked with how they are being talked to when they are visitors is amazing to me. Thank goodness one has already signed his NLI lol

  5.  When I talked to him at the game he said he was enjoying his visit and was excited to watch the game. Said his next OV is USC and he knows there facilities are nothing like ours but likes their Tradition just like ours.

I didn't know freshmen, that aren't going into this year's draft, ever worked out at pro-day.

They usually don't, but Rhule said that GA's usually do it and none were available so this is what they wanted to use.

Not sure I would say package deal but getting McCord would have had us in a really good spot with Fleming from the sounds of it.

So I'm not sure we're totally out of it with Fleming but I'm not holding my breath at this point.

I just don’t see how we pull a high level receiver when there is nothing in place with who will be getting him the ball on a regular basis. I feel we would have to have some type of transfer QB that would make him comfortable with his decision. I don’t think Raiola would be enough to pull hi. With one year of eligibility remaining

  8. I read that Fleeks moved to RB today, has anyone heard what’s up with Emmett Johnson? I read that he was gonna get reps last week, but didn’t see him at all! We tan the piss out of AG and we saw last year what that does to him.
