Boy did he look just downright awful! Also not saying this to attack him or anything but didn't he look pretty out of shape?
Anyway the guy that replaced him just took the team down and scored a TD
Isn't "ROUND" a shape?

It's the Brains versus Boogers Bowl, Brains up 7-0. I usually root for all big 12 schools, but honestly I wouldn't care if this game went to the little televen.

Fox Sports picked a stud from each bowl team who will (likely) be playing their last college football game. Joe Ganz is our featured stud. http://msn.foxsports.com/cfb/pgStory?conte...p;photo=8957812
C.J. Spiller is Clemson's featured stud.

He's a real crazy energetic guy...ive seen him at Lazlo's with some recruits before, and you can tell he makes an impression.
Really? He seems very quiet and introverted from the few times I've seen him. Sounds like you're describing Ekeler, cuz that guy's a psycho. I mean that in a good way, of course.

I'm less concerned with who's punting than I am who's covering. It's been on the atrocious side. I'd prefer Henery just stick to what he's done best so far, despite the fact that I think he's more than capable of punting.
-
I will definitely give him a lot of credit. Honestly, for awhile there he had none and I started to wonder if he was actually doing anything. Nice to see some home run hits and totally prove me wrong!
-
Did anyone just see the Southern Miss guy break his leg? Just the way he landed when trying to catch a pass and his bone just snapped in half. Even the defender was slightly freaked about it.
I hope he can recover from something like that, for next year.
-
Not to pee in the wheaties, but will he make it? His grades/scores (according to Scout's profile) seem way too low for my taste.
But, for now I'm definitely going party! :star :star

For those who were excited about Gabbert, I have a serious question. What about Gabbert got (nearly) everyone excited? My experience with following recruiting started well after he bailed, and thus far I know very little about him. (Well, except I can predict there will be future booings every time he steps foot onto Tom Osborne Field).
-
I really only followed recruiting for the last part of the 2008 class, so I don't have vast knowledge/insight here. Based on only my limited experience, I was really pumped about Will Compton. We needed that guy to "come back", badly, after so many jumped ship.

There was a fairly long thread earlier - I think Dayton lost, but was a shootout. Someone posted that Cody had 6 touch downs (and 1 int) plus close to 100 yards rushing.

Nick Nolte with tits
I still like the look alike thread where someone compared Hawkins to Janet Reno.

I don't wish him any ill will and do hope he does well in his future with Frankie at Ohio, but I still think what he did to ISU was rather immature and bush league.
He was the better of two, the team favorite, and got a raw deal. With that noted and since he did what was in his best interest - how is him leaving ISU immature, and bush league?
It's not that he left, that happens a lot. The guy does have to do what's best for himself, I agree with you there. It's how and when he left. Why not just wait until the season ends? He squandered opportunities that could have only helped him in the long run had he gutted the season out and left then. IMO, how/when he left made him seem like a baby. Quitting when things don't go your way, or when there's a bit of adversity, does not a good leader make.
Plus, I just remember his dad spouting things off about Nebraska that didn't sit well with me at all, and that just adds to my less than favorable opinion of the matter.

Latu will be a Gator.
Also don't expect Dijon Washington to stay a Husker.
I haven't really been following recruiting, so I may have missed something -- what's the story on D. Washington?

To:
Beau Davis, Joe Ganz, T.J. O’Leary, Todd Peterson, Clayton Sievers, Ty Steinkuhler, Nate Swift, Dan Titchener and Jake Wesch.
Congratulations on your degrees, fellas, and good luck in all your future endeavors in life. I, for one, am proud of you all!
Now, go smack some tiger butt on your way out!

Welcome to the board, Mez! I have been very impressed with the Clemson fans' friendly banter here the past couple of weeks.
I like Dabo - like him a lot. I wish you all great success with him at the helm, with the exception of your next game.
Thanks for the links. Crowd noise is wow!
I'll see your press conference and give you one in return. Ours is clearly better because it features one Dr. Tom Osborne posing as a stand up comedian, introducing Bo Pelini as the next Nebraska head coach. There isn't the emotion that Dabo showed, but I will tell you this - it was emotional for me as I actually got tears in my eyes.

Since the topic of MU/KU came up -- an autistic 16 year old with OCD (and a 69% prediction rate) says:
Northwestern over Missouri
Minnesota over Kansas
rest of the big 12 winning their bowl games
I don't buy those two losing, but it'll be interesting to see if he's at all accurate with the entire body of his picks.
The whole article requires a premium account with ESPN (can't believe we forgot to cancel it again this year!)

Well i am sure that huskerfans will care about the buffalo UCONN game
Cy i hope you have fun staying home for christmas. make sure to down plenty of eggnog and watch Kansas beat the golden chipmunks in the toilet that is the Insight bowl...
Cy won't watch - prolly doesn't have the NFL network.
Seriously, though - NFL Network for a bowl game? WTH! Jayhawk fans - is there any speculation about being picked up/offered on a local station in your area for those who don't have the NFL Network?
-
Exciting? How about this barnburner:
Vanderbilt's 117th ranked offense going up against Boston College and their 6th ranked defense....
or
Boston College's 96th ranked offense going against Vanderbilt's 29th ranked defense....
Oooh...this ought to be an offensive laser light show! I can hardly wait....
-
Yeah, then Freddie peeled off May's face and Shaggy said "Hey, it's Trev Alberts!
Speaking of Trev - at some point before or early during the season, Trev's counter part on some football show said there was no way Nebraska got into a bowl this year. At least I think it was that show.
Wonder if Trev is having fun with that one.
-
It's not that I don't care at all, but do wish they'd wait till after the bowl games to decide and/or award the hypesman - or any other award for that matter. The fact is that football is a team sport, and one player being singled out takes the focus of that player off bowl preparations, thus potentially hurting his team.
-
seriously
Maybe the better question is do you have a brain? Or are you all hopped up on Mountain Dew??
ergo, scoreboard gunius....
Turner did a great job. I like what he did, but lets not get on the crazy train, 3 OT wins against losing teams and a hail mary against another, does not a big 12 contender make. hmmmm......
seriously? No, of course not seriously. That is why I put the "fishing hook" reference in there. But, I'll accept your retaliatory scoreboard reference since you did earn that one quite handily.
Remind me next time I see you to buy you a drink.

Talk about bush league...
you meant booger eating league right?
Is this the uniform for the league?
