Thought I'd hit up some Gamecock boards and see how they felt about Satterfield. Some mixed feelings after how strong they finished this year, but the majority seem glad he's gone. Some choice bites...

    This one from a staffer @ 247:

That comment about running the ball feels uncomfortably close to what we heard from Riley - what was said about wanting to run it clearly did not match what happened on the field. And the comment about trying to mix pro-style passing with power running and some spread elements made me think back to Shawn Watson, although that's probably over-simplistic.

I'm not overly impressed with Satt, seems like another Shawn Watson type.

We’re gonna move on from Mickey.  No one wants his wife tweeting all day.  Guy had his chance, now let the pros come in.  He’ll get some sh&t job in Arizona, and his wife will be happy posting in instagram.  We’ll be managed by a pro staff that wants to win, not cash a check.

check back with me next year at this time.

Yeah I went a bit overboard but you've gotta admit the fans are wayyy over their heads for a program thats hasn't won anything in 23 years along with 6 straight losing seasons. If this was 2019 or 2020, we would never think Rhule would even bother coming here.

As far as I'm aware, TC flat out refused to allow even contacting  Kiffin or Urban, not that they'd even bother picking the call. They don't want fiesty guys who'd publicly call them out for meddling. For a long time, Leipold was the favorite because TC leaders like Dr. Tom favor "fiscal responsibility"  aka coaches who do reasonably well on a lesser budget. Thank God the Omaha boosters stepped in and threatened to cut their funding to the program if the upper management went the cheaper route.

So on the condition the Omaha guys would foot the majority of the bill, top tier candidates were contacted.  Fickell flat out said "thanks but not interested". Negotiations with Rhule broke down twice or thrice but finally Trev won.

Do you have any proof to any of this or just throwing up a  WAG?

Rhule's NFL failure was less embarrassing than Urban Meyer's spectacular flame-out. The only difference is Rhule didn't stay at either of his college jobs to prove his 10+ win seasons at Temple and Baylor weren't somehow flukes.

You get opportunity when you win, that's what he did. Got another one for losing in the NFL so I'm not sure what I'm trying to say.

The past.  Dominating Colorado 17-0 and lose.

The past.  Last week 14-3 with 15 to play and lose to Wisconsin.

    ...could go on and on.

You should know there's no lead, with this team, that is safe.

How many times have they been ahead 17 at the half and won?? Let's stay positive

For those whining about clock management, in that situation when NU got the ball back at their own 10 with 4 minutes left, the goals of that drive are:

    1.  Get enough first downs to run the first half out, and not give the ball back to Iowa. That was accomplished.

    2. Get into field goal position. Thompson had a first down pass, nullified by an offensive holding, or NU is in position to try for a FG.

    3.  If possible, try to score 7, but not be super risky with turnovers or getting Casey injured.

Stop making sense! These guys wanna b!^@h!!
