  1. i don't think that will happen, they will have plenty of plays to take the pressure off him by then, especially with glenn, lucky and ross in the backfield to run/throw to, i don't think Taylor has to be spectacular, just solid and make no major mistakes, especially early in the season, which will allow his confidence to grow, i also think and hope the running game re-emerges and becomes a big force in the offense, you may in fact see the running game set up the passing game, something we used to see alot of here at NU.....if Billy C is smart he will use our strengths while the qb's get acclimated to D-1 ball......it will be challenging for them, make no mistake about that........

  2. wharf- let's give ff a chance, he is with us, just has his doubts about the coaches, as long as he is for the team, i can handle that, if the team has some success and

and the coaches keep the kids motivated, he too will come around.......try to keep it positive everyone, it is a long season!

  3. i am ok with the new policy of no fans allowed on the field after the game is over, but i am wondering how they will handle a huge win or upset and the fans storm the field to take down the goal posts?...come to think of it, i can't remember the last time that happened at Memorial stadium?? anyone??

  4. i assume this will be the next topic, maybe some info to come out soon, knowing this is a key issue to address, wondering who might show the ability to be a good return guy........?? also looks like Glenn has caught Cally's eye.....good deal!

  5. i agree, if you just look at Freeman from a physical standpoint, he has a huge body to grow into and should develop even more than Cate, i think he will be a tremendous athlete down the road for us......

  6. IMHO the coaches need to get people into the key positions and keep them there until they are well polished and know the position inside and out......better to have people doing one job well, than spreading them around trying to accomplish too much.......it seldom works at any level of play........

  7. roadrat, i agree, that was PART of the problem.........let's see how they come together this season, let's see if they can get it done......i really hope they can,

because the recruiting job was excellent.........

  8. if you can't leave it alone, then you shouldn't get your nickel, but you obviously have nothing better to contribute..... :wtf by the way, media day is entirely different, but then you don't seem to get it........

  9. was thinking that too, he was a fullback in hs in Texas, 3 start kid, but Todd Dane should have that spot anchored? think he is at 220 now, maybe a year in the weight room and up to 240 he might have more impact? think he had a 4.6 40 so he has pretty good speed......who knows, another young guy to fit into the puzzle..

  10. with all the speculation of Jackson going to the d side of the ball, could it be that Glenn fits better in the backfield in key passing plays to pick up the blitz? is he that kind of back that could block well, besides maybe be a threat for receiver or on the draw play? ETR, what about this kid? haven't heard much, little fanfare regarding him, is he a darkhorse that can anchor the backfield in a different way or in special situations? anyone, any ideas on what this guy might bring to the table or just too early to tell??
