the problem is Chinander has a history of piss poor defenses........this, IMHO, is going to need to be dealt with sooner rather than later......i think Frost knows that too....he gets 2 more years, tops.

we are winning games at the right time....need the D to step up in these last 2 games.........do it for the seniors!

the defense needs a lot of work........talent and coaching, both.

we should win this game, but Ohio State will run up the score on us.....they need a lot of style points.

pretty sure Moos and Frost popped off too much before the season started, about how good we were going to be........pissed off the other teams and the refs played their game.......we will always need to dominate the score to have a chance now, the refs want to stick it to Frost, every chance they get.

I saw the open guy too but he was under pressure on a 4th down in OT after getting an awful snap. I really don't think that play is a good example to use to argue he has much to learn. That's not saying I disagree that he has much to learn but the fact he got the snap at all and kept his cool enough to have a throw is impressive to me even if he was a senior in that situation.

you have to admit, a typical rookie mistake gunning the ball high into the air on a busted play......throw it away, every time.

Yeah, I understand what you are saying.  You want to be OSU.  In order to be OSU Nebraska has to be Wisconsin and Iowa first.  That doesn't mean they have to play the exact same brand of football, but they do need to be a solid disciplined hard nosed football team that gets the most out of its players.  They need to be able to consistently be 9-3 or 10-2 before they can be 12-0.

I really don't get what you're talking about with Iowa. I haven't paid much attention to them, ever really, but it seems to me they've been doing the same type of thing for at least 40 years now, or whenever Hayden Fry started. That said I do see similarities between those 2 teams and Nebraska. Neither is great at recruiting due to similar geographical/population issues that Nebraska has, but they still seem to be at least decent every year (although Iowa tends to have a really crappy season occasionally). Both of those teams show that development of decent players can lead to success. But obviously our goal is to do more than they have.

when we caned Solich there was no plan,  getting Frost seems like the best move in many years....we shall see.........8-4 may be the new norm here for a long time.

i think we are all tired of hearing how "close" this team is to posting a win........the 28-14 blown lead left a bad taste in everyone's mouth. 

You wont see big improvement in  AM until next season.

a season with no wins would be a disaster for this program........expected to see cows fly before this...

These guys didn't just forget how to coach upon moving to Nebraska. They have a very limited playbook at the moment with this team.  

 

Take a deep breath, enjoy the rest of the season,  and come talk to me in a year. I seriously doubt the majority will have a problem with the play calling then.
