  1. I am confused...how come no one is blaming Coach Pelini yet?

Personal plea. Put away the Husker Fandom garbage if you are going to post on this issue. Leave the Pelini/Riley, fire/not fire, shoulda-woulda-coulda stuff for other threads. Not this one. A young woman has reported being sexually assaulted and the legal system will sort this out. It is morally reprehensible to criticize the woman for the report or insinuate that she is a liar. Yes it does happen from time to time, but numerous studies show that most women do not report their attacks due to fear of such criticism. It is incredibly sad that so many young women have to deal with this issue on college campuses, and I am deeply troubled that it happened at an institution I called home.

Odds are we still don't make a bowl.

You're just bitter you sold off your tickets ;)
    Nope. I'm realistic

Then be realistic and celebrate a great win

I celebrated my ass off, but we need to stop this craziness with "the team is gonna click and win out." It didn't make sense in week 5, week 6, week 7, week 8, or week 9. You are just setting yourself up for disappointment.

We shouldn't be celebrating this win like it's a bowl game. We're 4 and 6 and need to win out to make a bowl. So hooray, we beat Sparty. It's the caramel topping on the giant heaping sh#t that is the entire season. But hey, we won. I'm happy we won. I stayed out way too late drinking and celebrating.

I understand the perspective, but honestly where is the fun in that? Being a fan of a team is supposed to be fun!!!! Next year you will say, be realistic, they won't have a magical season...win the west undefeated Iowa style...pull an upset in the B1G championship and play for a natty title. You will probably be correct in that they will go 8-5 or 9-4. But where's the fun in that prediction? Being right and holding it over other people's heads? STOP!!! Be a fan. Dream big. Get your heart broken. Enjoy big wins. Dream big again. Do it because you love it. Not so that you can prove that your high school football experience and the sideline you stood on at an NAIA program makes you a better fan.

The game is not over. Wait till we see the half-time adjustments. Besides, was the war lost when the GERMANS bombed Pearl Harbor?

    Fixed it for ya.

I think we can make tons of halftime adjustments, but will we execute those adjustments is the question.

Come on son! I had to fix it for your fixed it. Know your animal house history!

  4. I was at that game, and let me tell you I have never been prouder to be a Husker fan. Something weird happened during that game. The cranky guy that was complaining about EVERYTHING left after Wiscy took the lead. The had-to-be-atleast-80-years-old Grandma two seats in front of us that came in with a walker got up (with assistance from the rail) and danced to "Let me clear my throat!" And I watched a group of players (who looked like they were on the verge of tears) take time in the tunnel to thank the fans both young and old who came to offer support as they walked back to the locker room. I think all Husker fans need to stop and look in the mirror. Both the fans who are spouting the "support Riley, or go be an Iowa fan," as well as the "we suck, fire him after 6 games" crowd need to mellow and just be a fan! Yea fandom! GO BIG RED!

  5. This week has proven to me:

    1) Losses hurt

    2) We need to stop with the "Best Fans in College Football" crap. We are not. In fact, I think we have sucked since that started. Take it down!

    3) I liked Bo but he got old due to losses. I like Riley, but the losses are starting to create concerns.

    4) I can't read message boards for a good couple days after a loss. The people making big ridiculous claims here people are simply doing so for reaction. Don't reply to them, don't acknowledge them, and they will stop. They are the Internet equivalent of a three year old temper tantrum.

  6. I personally think Riley is trying to lose. He saw what Callahan did, and said "that looks like a good idea!" I too wish that Wilbon would get some carries as I am over the Imani experience, but I also do not believe that the coaches are ignorant of talent and skill.

  7. If we had DBs who could "play on an island," (something they were rarely asked to do under Bo), I firmly believe our outlook and production would be better. I want to win as much as anyone else, but patience friends. Patience.
