  1. Unfortunately the new watch site in chicago is not that great.

Food gets a B+ a lot of options and some Husker themed entrees.

Atmosphere so so. I am disappointed that it is also a IU bar. One section of the bar was set up for teh Indiana game. The bartenders were trashy, and there was an annoying dj playing sh**ty music even during the game. The music did not fit at all. All us husker fans need is the tunnel music, the fight song, and occasional butrock.

Hot chicks not as plentiful as previous spots.

I hope this wan't influenced by me being pissed at the husker game the whole time.

I'm not a fan either. Covercharge, and just a very bland atmosphere. I go to The Bird's Nest...it's about 1 block north of Southport and Fullerton. The waitstaff isn't terribly friendly but it seems the crowd is friendlier and the food/drink reasonably prices. No pretensions either.

Btw...am I the only one that is surprised there aren't more Husker bars in Chicago? I know there are quite a few Nebraskans in the city...you would think there would be at least a few more places to go.

Does anyone know if any of these places may have the Florida International game because its not nationally televised?!?!? Thanks in advance.

  2. How bout we lay off the coach. Maybe your forgetting how many times Q fumbled the ball last year and I think was on his way to doing again this year. It was just two weeks ago that the coaches made him carry a ball around 24/7 so obviously he had fumble issues in camp thus far.

I'm in no way blaming the coaches, and whatever happened is definitly Q's fault, but I would love to still have him around. He had a great game in the gator bowl and I believe he was going to have a great year as our number 2. Helu and Castille were the perfect combo imo. Helu talked Q up a lot in camp a lot. So this sucks, but that just means its time to step it Burkhead and others.

  3. Thats a good question.

I know that we got Curt Dukes from one of the Carolinas...but I am 96.453% sure it was North Carolina. I hope someone has an answer to this.

From a quick search of the recruiting lists, the last player to sign out of South Carolina was Kareem Moss CB Spartensburg S.C by way of Garden City C.C. back in 1992!

    +2 points for huzkerbob :D

  4. Redshirting in basketball is a different monster than redshirting in football.

In football, even after redshirting, you know you will at the LEAST get 2 more years out of them

The NBA says a player needs to be 1 year removed from high school So, even though unlikely, say we get a big name recruit next year and redshirt him, he can enter the draft without even playing a game for the big red, because his 1 year out of high school was sitting on a bench.

Yea like i said, not very likely that would ever happen. If someone is that good, they wouldnt be redshirting, but you have to look at all the possibilites.

  5. I'm saying NIT

It will be hard for a tournament bid this year with our week non-conference (3 losses in non conference) and a down big 12 this year.

That being said, Maybe, we can have a magical run and win the Big 12 Tourney :)

Wishful thinking, i know, but anythings possible.

    :koolaid2:

  6. Well, except that Suh will be gone by the time Uko would get here.

I just noticed we're on his favorites. How freakin' awesome is that?

oh yea, you are right....I forgot he is 2010 <_<

Well, then he can watch Suh videos and learn then :D
