  1. First off, that was a raw deal for the fan, and the police were out of line. Now there is a fine line of sitting and standing. I think you should be able to stand some and cheer on the team, but at the same time, allow those older handicapped people, who have own their seats for years, see the field some.

Yes, the give and take is those blue hair fans have the videos to see the game when fans are standing ... and the fans should be able to stand some ... it's part of the game. But the blue hairs are also entitled to see the field as least half the game. They paid their dues, and you shouldn't totally deprive them ... and some of you will be handicap someday. So to say they should stay home is insensitive, selfish and disrespectful. It's give and take folks. Blue hairs shouldn't expect you to sit the whole game, and you shouldn't expect them not to see the whole game. Is that unreasonable?

  2. You have some good points, but he has not shown to be a running threat ... so it's hard to describe him as a dual threat. When was the last time he made a big run? I remember he made a long run along the sideline against a bad defense early last season ... that was about it. He really hasn't had a great run since. But I think he can develop into a decent thrower ... I just don't think that would be NU.

  3. If someone else already started this topic, sorry and please move it. I've seen enough that proves Green is a highly overrated runner -- compared to what he seemed like in high school. He's just not nearly as explosive as he looked at the lower level.

What gives? Higher competition in college? But in high school in Texas, he faced really good athletes on defense. So why did his high school game videos mislead us so much? Do you remember how excited we were when he committed to us? :dunno

Forget about comparing him to T-Magic ... way too much separation in favor of Taylor. But comparing him as a runner to Blaine Gabbert or Joe Ganz, he doesn't seem to hold a candle to either.

I see potential for Cody Green as a passer, but he is clearly not a dual-threat QB, and our offensive system is a bad fit for him. Watson's offense with Pelini's first team fit his talents better. I think he should find a team with a pro-style offense to develop his passing skills. Nebraska is no longer the right team for him.

  4. The worst part is we won't live to fight another day with UT unless OU losses a couple of games in the future and we play them again in the Big 12 championship ... or we play them in a future bowl. And that could be years! Whatever success we have in the Big 10, UT can sit back and say they own us, and that really sucks!

  5. Monte if fine as a DC. For whatever reason, he doesn't have the bodies right now. With probation or no probation, you would think he would have enough talent left. Apparently not. He's going to have a long night against Oregon.

  6. I gave him my thoughts of the K State game. I said we likely will stuff their running attack by putting eight guys or so on the line and that the kool aid drinking will resume since many fans will think our front four have greatly improved. He burst out laughing.

Most interesting is when I asked him how he compares our defensive tackles to he and his brother. He said these guys are more talented, but are just not playing up to par. He also said, "It's all in your head." Our guys need to mentally toughen up.

  7. Your link didn't take me directly to this radio show. But I will say this: You can't go by what one or two people say. This cannot be use as a reflection of OSU fans. Let's not start a hate OSU club ... OK. We have one regular OSU fan on this board, and he's been a good poster. There are idiot Husker fans, too.
