  1. Hey guys, I wrote a new quick article about last night's game if you're interested. http://www.examiner.com/x-2792-Nebraska-Co...f-vs-Iowa-State
  2. Hey guys, I wrote another article for examiner.com. With all the hyper and anticipation of the quarterback race and all the publicity Zac Lee and Cody Green are getting because of it I decided to do a little story on Kody Spano. While I would be nothing short of shocked to see him get the job, I thought people should at least know more about him and being the underdog he is. Thanks! http://www.examiner.com/x-2792-Nebraska-Co...uarterback-race
  3. Hey guys I wrote a new article recapping this past weekend's events for examiner.com Theres basketball in there as well as baseball and even a little track and field. Thanks a lot, http://www.examiner.com/x-2792-Nebraska-Co...coaster-weekend
  4. In response to this statement, the article states RETURNING designated hitter Cody Neer, meaning the designated hitter from last season is returning to the team, which is the proper way to state it. Rarely did Neer see time at catcher last season so if It were to say "returning catcher Cody Neer" that would imply that was Neers primary position last season. Yes, Neer is expected to catch. How well do I follow baseball as a whole? Well I played for 16 years, I coach a high school team and I played college baseball.... Rather obnoxious your argument, which isnt supported at all over a PREDICTION article of Nebraska's season would put you into question my baseball knowledge as a whole.. Your the only one who had a problem with it even though you argument proves nothing. Man you act as if I said they are clear cut favorites to win the conference and go to Omaha. I predicted probably fifth, you predicted sixth, man Im sorry I dont know anything about baseball, our predictions are just night and day. I mean if you get sixth in a conference youre an okay team but if you get fifth wow thats just amazing, theres NO CHANCE of that happening....right?
  5. Ok so what about last year when we were predicted to finish sixth? Or the fact that Anderson has never finished lower than fourth? I don't think we have stellar pitching, but I certainly think they will be better than expected by some. Also, while our pitching will be down compared to last year, the offense will be up. This team is ALOT better than two years ago, and we finished in the top four of the conference. I tihnk the only guarenteed great teams in the conference are A&M and Texas. You can't imagine the Huskers finishing ahead of Baylor or Mizzou even though you admit you dont know much of anything about Baylor and your reason for Mizzou being better is a pitcher who pitched well down the stretch? Excuse me if I'm having trouble finding that as a logical argument as to why my prediction is way off base. Almost all of your arguments involve "down the stretch" or "towards the end of the year" To me that tells me they might be inconsistent. If it takes those teams that long to begin playing well, that should only increses NU chances at having success. I don't mind being disagreed with, I love how it brings friendly debate to the topic. However, if you are going to slam and quesiton my knowledge on the topic please bring a substantial arugment rather than "I dont know much bout these guys" or They have a pitcher who pitches well down the stretch. So where am I so far off in saying I think its highly possible they finish fourth or fifth?? So to answer your question, I know quite a bit about this team. so you're critisizing my knowlege of the team yet you only pick them one worse spot than I did?...
  6. Ooops sorry, heres the link: http://www.examiner.com/x-2792-Nebraska-Cornhuskers-Examiner
  7. Hey guys, wrote a new Nebraska Baseball article today analyzing the preseason Big 12 poll and where I feel the Huskers should be ranked. Included is a 5 minute NU Baseball Press Day interview with Coach Anderson.
  8. I just added some video to the article for those interested, pretty cool stuff...Spotlights the performances of Huskers in the Shrine game as well as the Texas vs. The Nation game
  9. Hey guys I wrote a new article for examiner.com breaking down the six Huskers and the combine and their chances in the draft, check it out http://www.examiner.com/x-2792-Nebraska-Co...-at-NFL-Combine I appreciate all the compliments and comments I have gotten from my other stories!
  10. My thoughts exactly, the kid must show something to order to have the effect I talked about. If it's clear the learning curve is going to be rather large, redshirting is the way to go.
  11. Thanks I appreciate the comments. Personally, I could see Green starting next year as a possibility. Unless they decide to redshirt him regardless of how much better he might perform in practice that the other 3 QB's (which I dont think would happen). If Pelini and Watson give him a shot at splitting time, I find it highly possible that Green could outshine Witt or Lee after maybe 4-5 games. I wouldn't plan on it, but I definitely wouldn't be surprised. If that were to be the case and he did start, I think they would still throw in Witt or Lee for a change of pace in certain situations.
  12. Hey Guys, I wrote a new article on examiner.com on whether or not Cody Green will compare to Ohio State's Terrelle Pryor, let me know what ya think. http://www.examiner.com/x-2792-Nebraska-Co...ke-effect-at-NU
  13. There was a new recuriting article put out by ESPN today, theres a nice little article about Cody Green under the "under the radar" section, about halfway down the page. ATH Cody Green, Nebraska The question is whether he will play quarterback or move to another position. Regardless, Green is the type of athlete who upgrades Nebraska's skill level on offense. He is somewhat of a wild card in this class. Fans have a real interest in him because he's reminiscent of Ohio State QB Terrelle Pryor. Nebraska may need him in a role under center as a freshman even if he is not the full-time guy right off the bat. He's big, athletic and can run the spread offense, if need be.
  14. I wrote a new basketball article on my examiner.com page this morning, check it out. http://www.examiner.com/x-2792-Nebraska-Co...o-final-stretch
  15. In honor of Black History Month I decided to do a story about the first African American to play at Nebraska. http://www.examiner.com/x-2792-Nebraska-Co...-George-Flippin
