  1. Coaches promised the kid a while back that if Jaylin got his grades in order, he'd earn an offer. Jaylin assured them he would. Both sides held true to their words. Now Jaylin gets to live out his dream. Could not be happier for the kid.

  2. One thing I am in no way concerned about next year is replacing Dylan Utter. John Raridon will likely be starting there, or at guard (he will be starting somewhere), and the play will be much improved.

Utter was big on heart, not so much on talent. Not a knock on the guy, because he did what he could with the amount of talent he had. But the center position was a big reason our interior struggled at times this year.

Very, very encouraged about the youth movement we are likely to have next year. Would not be shocked to see 3 freshman starting on our o-line next season. Will be rough at times with the kids learning, but we've got some extremely talented young OL on this team.

  3. He only had to get a 2.0 right? Inexcusable. I can't quite understand how the athletic dept. didn't know. I thought they got routine updates on attendance and grades.

Nate's academic problems aren't new. He was nearly ineligible to begin the season.

School can give him every resource available to put him in a position to succeed, but it's still on the kid to actually do the work.

  4. Very impressed that Riley wasted no time with this.

Riley has been loyal to Read his entire career. Been one of his guys that has followed him everywhere. But Riley made no excuses about performance, and wasted no time in making the decision that had to be made.

No favorites and no nepotism here. Only results matter.

  5. I get the 50/50 calls. If it's close, let it go in that situation.

But the damn guy stopped his route and didn't even allow him a chance to catch the ball. How in the hell do you justify that as a no call with the game on the line? 99.99999% of the time that's pass interference. We just happened to get those inept jackasses that had no clue what they were looking at.

  6. Ignorance and intolerance. That's the best way to describe Daub.

Kneeling during the national anthem is a personal choice. It isn't violent. It doesn't change the meaning of the words or the emotion you personally feel when you hear that song play. Instead of asking yourself why men you routinely cheer for are doing this, you go straight to punishing these kids? That only feeds into why these kids are kneeling in the first place.

But less than that, you have some idiot regent who wants to score political points at the expense of the football team. When this team is 4-0, having success on the field, off the field, and in recruiting, instead Daub wants to make it a laughing stock and a point of ridicule for fans and media.

    Daub's intolerance is ignorance.

And if a man is this position of power displays this level of ignorance and intolerance to the children of this University, he has no business holding the power and influence he currently enjoys.

If someone wants to start a petition asking for the resignation of Daub, I'll be more than happy to sign.

  7. Langsdorf and Davis crapped the bed the minute they went away from Ozigbo. He should have never left the game, and the power run game should have never left.

Playing this sideline to sideline crap which allows Oregon's speedy defense to play is exactly what they want. It's their strength defensively, versus our weakness offensively.
