  1. Obama board????????????

This thread is useless w/o pics :bang:wtf

I'm not a fan of the look of this jersey and the placement of the Adidas logo just looks awkward and the stripes do look very thin

    obamaahusker.jpg

    Exactly!!!

And sorry I made this post from my phone and it wouldn't let me add a pic to the post

  2. So I live in Colorado so when I saw the Obama board today, it was the first time I saw the new Jerseys and I must say, I hate em! The logo looks missed placed and the stripes are too small Ans the red at the bottom of the white stripes just doesn't resemble Nebraska. Literally I thought it was a wallmart knock off at first!

Also it looks exactly like Wisconsins now, minus the patch. Ehh it just kinda looks like a half a** job! What is it, 2013 when our Adidas contract runs up? I say as soon as we can, we switch to Nike.

Maybe its just me though... I have been known to b a bit dramatic sometimes haha.

    Thoughts on the new Jerseys?

  3. Adi Kunalic posted this on his twitter.

Are these the new Jerseys? If so I gotta say I like the old ones way better! The bottom red stripe on the sleeve is too wide and the Adidas logo is in the wrong place.

 Yes. They are the new Jerseys.. They have been selling them at all the husker authentic stores since February.

Sorry I live in Colorado so I wouldn't see the new Jerseys that fast haha

  4. everyone seems excited about this match-up when nu hits the big 10 in 2011, and i suspect the hawk fans expect a certain win, if you listen to them...just wondering why these 2 teams have not played in the non-conf schedules over the past few years...being so close in proximity, it should have been on each schools scdules for the last 20 yrs,.

Good question, I know why Hayden fry declined to play us but idk y we didn't get a game going for the past 9 years.

Ik when we played Hayden fry in the 80's he was convinced we stole his Playbook and that's why we won... kinda ridiculous accusations for our program

  5. Rivals teaser I think is advertising that he's lighting it up in our elite QB camp

The Rivals update only asked Jamal how he thought he did. No report from anyone actually there.

Still have heard he struggled throwing the ball, which shouldn't be surprising. Jamal just isn't a drop-back QB at this point, which is why camps like these are good for him.

scout one says he didn't participate in many drills and has a broken thumb, i'm assuming on the non throwing hand.

Haha this is why I ask u guys, always got the info

  6. I think it's crazy so many people want Iowa to be our rival. I hope these aren't the same people who hate the Colorado series being called a rivalry, because Iowa will just be Colorado Part II. Iowa fans are already bitterly jealous of Nebraska, and have been for many years now. And this is when they haven't played us in a decade! Imagine what it will be like when we are winning two out of every three games and our high and mighty fans are coming in to their stadium ruining their "tailgating" buzz. It's not going to be pretty, and the college crowd there (which makes up half of the town during school) is not that far off from CU's.

If we develop a rivalry of any sort, I sure hope it's with Penn St. Wisconsin would be second in my mind with the Alvarez connection.

    Exactly!!!!!

  7. Does a&m leave for the sec to escape their little brother image under Texas, or do they take to this new big 12 money deal?

Who knows if the state of Texas would even let them go if they wanted to, but if they did somehow leave for the sec, does Texas still stick with the b12?

  8. i pray that it is notre dame

I'd take notre dame, they have a top tier program and I absolutely hate em.

Problem is that we don't no if theyll join the big10 especially with all all the super conference talk dying, and they'd need to improve their current level of play.

IV said it once and I'll say it again, if we do get a top main rival, it should b Penn state, but we don't need a rival either so we shouldn't force a rivalry- especially with lesser prestige iowa

  9. OK so IV been wondering a few things about Texas and maybe y'all can help me. Ok so the first thing i want to know is how texas shot down things like a conference network for the big12?

They wanted to start their own network and would not be a part of the big 12 network. I believe big 12 officials thought it would fail without the large market that Texas brings to the table.

Is there like some majority vote needed to pass something like a conference expansion?

Not entirely sure what you are asking, if you mean for the big 12 to expand than it would require apporval from the presidents and chanclors not sure how much of a mojority though. If you mean for Texas to leave than their board of regents would have to aporve it but the required majority vaires with each schools rules.

Is that y texas wants the pac10 along with the most of the b12 south to come-so they can hold enough of a minority to shoot things down in the pac10, like a network?

Don't think it why they want the pac 10 however that is why they wanted Colorado replaced with Baylor.

If Texas joins the pac10 along with 4 other big 12south schools, would they have like a minority vote to be able to shoot down a pac10 network?

I doubt it the pac 10 commish already stated that if Texas joins they will not be able to start their own network. This tells us that he will not put up with the crap that Texas likes to pull. 16 teams would require a 9 team majority to pass isues or possibly a 12 team "super majority" to pass major issues.

If the pac 10 has rights to texas media, y don't they just join the b10 who already has a network?

Do they just want pac10 because they can maintain rivals and get California recruiting?

Don't have an answer for this one, except that it couldn't hurt.

Thanx who ever has the answers

    Hope that helps

    Haha yep u got everything.

I didn't mean expansion for the question u were confused by, haha some how I got mixed up cause I meant a conference network, my bad

  11. sorry, i'm pulling for a nebraska/penn state rivalry.

why? try the shattered dreams of an eleven-year-old boy...

i want to stab someone after i see that clip.

Agreed this is definitely the best possible rival.

We can't have OSU as our top rival because the have Michigan, and vice versa

Iowa hasn't really had any success aainst us, so it'd b kinda like the Colorado thing all over again, except Iowa doesn't even have one title

Penn State has a history with us, a similar level prestige as us, and really no main top rival

  12. I keep reading about how this expansion of the Big Ten is developing...and just hit me..??

Could ONE team win BACK to BACK conference Championships with two different Conferences?...

    Win the Big 12

    win the Big 10

Let me know what you think?

If Crick stays and if we find another wr along side kinnie, no question

  13. Would like a minority vote be able to shoot down a pac10 network? How did texas vote it down in the b12? Do they want to bring the b12 south with so they can have enough of a minority vote to shoot down things like a network and stuff in the pac10?

If the pac 10 has rights to texas media, y don't they just join the b10 who already has a network?

  14. Sorry, I'm used to not being allotted enough tickets from certain teams that shall remain nameless, but their initials are osu... ;)

But seriously, the 97' national championship was ours. The flaming can proceed. ;)

I've only ever been to one OSU game. When UCLA came to town back in the late 90s. I wasn't flaming. I was hoping that you caught the jist of my humor.

Lol I did, I was just playing with you. The flaming coment was for my coment about the 97' game that was not. It's all in good fun.

Well then, let's have some fun, shall we?

    1. During 93-97 Husker football lost only 3 games.

    2. During the sames time frame played for 4 National Championships and won 3 (one shared of course).

    3. In 97, the year in question, we played a MUCH stronger opponent in Tenn. than you did in Wash. St. We freaking clobbered them and you barely won and in contreversial fashion.

    4. Sure you won the Big Ten that year, but overall the Big 10 had a horrible Bowl record that year. They weren't the strongest conference that year.

    5. Ok, WE GOT THE SEARS TROPHY!!! You can have that wooden piece of crap AP one.

    6. Considering Nebraska's crazy dominance during that time frame a VERY strong argument can be made that the only reason you got to share the title is because you couldn't play us.

    :thumbs

The only reason our schedule was easier was because we had two Big12 teams on it ;)

Ok, that was funny!!! :laughpound So excited about all of this, I live in Mi. and now I can actually see the Huskers in person when they visit here.

Don't forget we trashed peyton manning and y'all could barelu up hold against the major draft bust ryan leaf. Remember now, manning was drafted for his already developed talent and leaf was for his so called potential and not because of his at the time level of play.

Also our d was ridiculous that year and we were playing for osborne as it was his last game, I don't thinl anyone coulda derailed that teams motivation on that day.

  15. A report on espn said that the mounatin west is now eyeing both KU and Mizzou, but no Baylor. Suprising

    Or Iowa state.

    Hahahahahaha serves em right!

Also don't forget the big10 may pick up ku as a balancing act instead of Missouri, mostly because of their basketball team, and don't forget they have the kc market

  16. Welcome to the Big 10! Really looking forward to the future with Nebraska as part of our family. This is a great day.

I guess it depends on who you ask. I am not sure that my loyalties will follow the huskers to the big ten. If the Big 12 would go get Notre Dame, my loyalties would stay with the big 12 instead of staying with Nebraska. This is a sad day for many Husker and Big 12 fans!

big buckeyes fan here, can't wait to start playing you guys on the gridiron.

I feel the same way toward Ohio State as I do towards Mizzou..... no other teams that I would like to see lose every game. However, I am so angry over this move by the Huskers that I would laugh if Nebraska loses every game. I guess "Go Big Red" means "Run Big Red".... If you can't win the big 12, change conferences. No pride left what-so-ever in Lincoln.

I'm really impressed with the overwhelming welcome by so many Big 10 fans. There seems to be a clear solidarity within the conference that is readily apparent--as is in the SEC. This didn't seem to be the case in 1995 when the SWC joined with the Big 8 and never really formed.

Looking forward to some epic battles!

Don't kid yourself... Nebraska is and will continue to lose some fans over this move. It is a chicken-_ _ _ _ move, and that shows loyalty can be purchased. So we should just say goodbye to history? No more Oklahoma / Nebraska games, but I'm sure Nebraska / Illinois will be a show-stopper. What happens now to Nebraska if we cannot win the big 10? Do we go the WAC then? If Nebraska wants more money, they need to start winning more games. I have lost alot of respect for Nebraska and Tom Osborne over this. I know alot of Big Ten fans, and I can tell you right now that there isn't more solidarity in the big ten than in the big 12. You won't find a Michigan fan rooting for Iowa or Michigan State to win a non-conference game, not like you would see a Texas or Oklahoma fan rooting for Nebraska. I can guarantee you that! Is the big ten finally going to start having a championship game? The only reason, and I mean the ONLY reason that big ten fans are welcoming this move, is because they have always thought the big ten to be a much tougher conference than the big twelve, and they all think they are going to march into Lincoln and pound on Nebraska. I can tell you right now, that this move would not have been so welcomed back in Nebraska's glory days! Just think about it.

    Heresy!!!!!!!!!!!!

Your Husker fanship is now in question and could possibly b revoked. Ur meeting will take place with Dr. Tom on Tuesday to discuss ur future with this organization... just be happy ur meeting isn't with Bo.
