They blackshirts were just on the field too much last year. The offense never gave them a chance to catch their breath. They were always on the field. They did the best they could considering the personel and other conditions.

Taylor needs his time under center just as much as Beck... I think its more important to have an experienced starter than a backup thats ready to play. Next year will be when Beck gets his PT.

He is an integral part of the offense this year and will play a bigger role than last year, he will be the work-horse while we go through Taylor's growing pains untill he is fully prepared for game speed. He will be remembered for holding his own during coaching/system changes, as well as some of the darker times in NU history.

I hope phil dillard is as big as a monster as people make him out to be... 255 is very large for a LB... he may have to cut some weight and increase speed.

Taylor is definitely the man this year and most likely will be next year as well, but Beck is guaranteed baring some injury to see much more time under center next year. He just needs to master the system mentally, and his time to do this is while Taylor is leading us to victory after victory.

No, Taylor will see much more time under center. He understands the system, and is much more mature as a QB due to the fact that he has 2 years on Beck. Beck isnt ready to run the WCO at this level yet. He will just not yet, Taylor sees majority of snaps this year and next year we can expect a classic QB battle.

Welcome to all, and we can expect a real rush of new members when the season really kicks off, cause this is nothing compared to the amount of people that will be joining.

Beck will play... but he wont be getting a significant amount of time. Taylor is excelling and Beck wont be able to take his spot this year. Beck needs time to mature as a QB, Taylor had it in JC so he will have the majority of snaps this year and most of next year.

I think pan out means contribute greatly to the program success. I think lucky has a better chance at becoming a high impact threat at NU simply because he can rely more on raw talent than beck will be able to do at the QB position. QB isnt a spot where you can just relax and let your athletic ability do the work... its more mental so he will have a tougher shot at succeeding. RB is more based on athleticsm and lucky has that already so he is more likely to advance through the depth chart faster.

I think it will look nice with all the paint... along with the packed house of red. That seals the deal from my view.

He looked very good in the spring game, and there is good things coming out of NU, but we really wont know what he needs to improve or what his capabilities are untill we see him in game situations against decent competition. He doesnt need the massive arm strength to run the WCO effeciently, since its based more on accuracy. We shall see when the season kicks off.

they could also do something like grey for away and red for home or the other way around... that would also be an idea to think about.
