  1. Yea he will be a huge asset in our new offense, hopefully kicking more xp's than fieldgoals, but those fg's can come in handy sometimes too.
  2. This receiving corps is absolutely better than any in recent year's due to the option style, and all of these receivers should be ready to see time and action, they will all be in close competition come summer for starting roles.
  3. Yea i agree he should return...this year's team will be better than in recent year's and he could be a big part of it.
  4. Even so, USC will still be dominating teams in the next few years due to their high powered recruiting machine, so expect them to be taking their opponents in the National Championship behind the woodshed.
  5. Dontrell is a promising young LB recruit as well, and hopefully will provide us with the start to an athletic LB corp like UM has done with its LB's.
  6. Yea i wouldnt like a drastic change either, but i think the other products offered by underarmor are the cutting edge of athletic apparel, but adidias is fine.
  7. It would be a good matchup at qb, Callahan will make both young recruits compete for the starting job which will only make them better, which means more wins for us.
  8. I just joined this forum, and I am very impressed with both the content and people here. Other forums usually have some crazies who dont know anything but say the most, but i have yet to see any here, which is a good thing. Ill be here for a while.
  9. I agree, if the big guys up front improve, which was another thread i believe, the lb's and secondary will have an easier time getting to the ball, especially with the improved team speed. These will both make our defense better than last year and the year before.
  10. They sound right to me also, they should expect to get more and more good passes as the year goes on as well. They better be ready.
  11. Crouch wasn't so much a great qb as he was a master at the option. His knowledge of and experience with the option brought most of his success. The other aspects of quarterbacking were not his strong points. His passing and decision making is what kept him from the nfl and just were not needed in the option style of qb. Based on being a qb and not stats, crouch wasnt as good.
  12. If the offense can stay on the field longer and sustain long drives, that will help keep the defense off the field and keep them fresh which will help them when they are on the field.
  13. Neb has a chance at beating OU next year. They will have to play one of the best games of the year, along with loading the box to stop adrian p. I would force the qb to throw, since he will be at a low experience level.
  14. My ideal quarterback for the new style of Neb's offense would be a pro-style throwing qb. along with being able to throw, good decision making, clock management, and leadership will also be good attributes. I know you cant have a running/throwing qb in one package, so a qb that can throw, will have trouble in blitz situations, but during a blitz the defense leaves zones open and a good throwing qb will find them b4 the blitz reaches him.
  15. Going undefeated is surely a promising topic, but with the recent rise in recruit talent, going undefeated is not likely. I would be glad to see it, but this year is not likely to be the year. When this year's recruiting class matures, and the next year's class is ready, they will be ready to take us to the promise land again.
  16. Even though Adidas has been with Neb for so long, and the contract is good for Neb, i would have liked to see them with UnderArmor. Just my humble opinion.
  17. We should be more concerned with the quality of players rather than the number of players. I believe this year's class will be one of the best in recent year's, and can only upgrade Neb's talent level.
  18. I watched the game, and the LB that Lucky just plain broke was Brian Cushing from Bergan Catholic in NJ and is likely heading to USC. He is a good player, and Lucky had his way with him.
  19. This is the exact reason why schools have interviews with recruits, because some kids believe they are God's gift to football and think they dont have to do anything to become better players. Even people who dont play college football know this is not the case, because it is not true in real life.
  20. I think he could be a huge asset to Neb football if he is injury free and decides to stay with Neb. However, his starting position will be challenged with the load of talent being brought in with this year's recruiting class, Especially up front.
  21. Yes, the talent level of this year's recruiting class is much greater than that of previous years. Finishing with the 5th highest class is very good for finishing at the rank we did.
