Interesting reading through this thread in hindsight.

Sounds like he's got his priorities in order, as well as a great attitude.
-
Make it happen, Mr. Diggs.
-
Please be the second coming of Nate Swift and/or Todd Peterson.
-
3Peat. Love it.
-
Would be quite the signing day steal if he signs.

Welcome to Mr. Abdullah.
I'm excited about this one.
-
Great news, welcome Mr. Bryant.

Dare we say... "5 times better"?????
This one is important, as much as people bashed JUCO's before (with Cally), Bo has done a great job finding JUCO's that make an impact. Gomes is the most recent in the defensive backfield. He has panned out great.
Don't forget about Lavonte David, too. He wasn't a DB but has been a stud.

You aren't misremembering. I remember reading several articles as well that he could play pitcher, but that most clubs were looking at him as an outfielder. I'm kind of confused where that assumption is coming from as well.
My last post was made with the assumption that he was being considered as an outfielder as was posted way back in this thread. I'm confused where the pitcher assumption is coming from, too.

If that's the case, does that swing the momentum in our favor as far as him choosing football over baseball?
One would think so, as I'd imagine an injury like that would have a pretty significant effect on his draft status. Obviously, not as significant as an arm injury, but it's probably enough to drop him a ways in the draft.

Michigan football > Stanford football
All-time, yes, but as of now? It's not even close.
-
Now listening. C'mon Mr. Jackson.
-
Pretty impressive game from Mr. Allen.

I'm not 100% on this, but I'm pretty sure the pros have to sit out a week after a diagnosed concussion, but I don't think college has such rules
The pros have to pass certain concussion-related tests to be able to play the next week, but there is no rule that mandates they miss the next week.

What was the deal with Roy's quote about his dad? Anyone know this backstory? He seemed like he was bumming about something.
Yeah, that caught me off-guard as well.

Also, my point about Crick was mostly to illustrate the fact that you can't judge a kid solely on the level of competition he's played in high school. Crick competed with lesser competition in high school than Davie currently is, and yet has developed into a good enough player to become a starter for us, making him obviously worth the scholarship.
The coaches obviously see the raw physical gifts in Davie and the potential for him to develop into a contributor for us in the future enough to offer him a scholarship and that's good enough for me. If they can develop Crick into a starter, then I have faith that they can identify talent no matter the competition level and make their talent worth the scholarship offer they have extended.
-
Don't forget that Crick hails from Cozad, which is a class smaller than the class Davie plays in.

Best day in recruiting in a long time.
Welcome, Mr. Green.

Welcome to the Huskers Mr. Allen.

Even funnier is, we don't run a pistol offense. :-}
GBR!
Not exclusively, but we have ran some plays from the pistol formation this year.
-
That was great. Bet Bradford's glad he missed the game last year - still can't escape Suh though haha.
-
Soon...meaning October 17th?

And Washington wins. Big win for them, and it's always good to see our OOC wins look a little better. Especially this year.

Wins are such a terrible metric to judge a pitcher by.
