  1. Didnt mr Helu break the single game rushing yardage against mizzou?

+1, forgot about Helu. In all fairness though, Calvin did it as a Freshman and was the second most ever by a freshman (behind Marshal Faulk)

Thats great, but compare their respective offensive lines

  2. TA can get reps when we have a comfortable lead.

Rembering the Cody Green one first half series experiment three years ago and his fumble inside the 10 yard line of the washington game.

But the experiment was successful because we discovered Green couldn't handle that kind of situation.

I'm fine with Armstrong getting tested early in a game when it's still a game. If it's only during a comfortable lead then it's not much more useful than a scrimmage.

True. I guess i still have a bad taste in my mouth.

I am very excited about Tommy, but im more excited to see where taylor takes this offense this season.

After looking at the unit during spring practices, what were some of your big takeaways from their performance?

John Papuchis: That's an interesting question because what I've been doing the last couple weeks is going back and looking at our spring cutups. One thing that jumped out to me, after having a little bit of time away from it, was that we improved pretty significantly and steadily as the spring went on. From the first practice to the 14th practice leading up to the spring game, we were much crisper in our alignments and understanding our assignments, we played faster. There was just a lot of development that took place over the course of those 14 practices. We're a young group, and we're going to need all 29 practices before we kick it off against Wyoming.
