  1. I think Pelini needs to just his own stamp on the program, for better or worse. Better to be himself and be known as intense, touchy, passionate, and sometimes overbearing than to be known as an insincere fraud. If NU wanted the latter, they should have hired Lane Kiffin.

That's a good comparison, and I know who I'd want. If Bo is too in your face or smash mouth for you, maybe you ought to start following the Texas Tech or the Pac 10, because it's going to become more of the norm once we are in the Big 10. No finesse, no BS - 100% IN YOUR FACE SMASH MOUTH FOOTBALL.

  2. Im really surprised by how most people on this board will allow coaches and players to say and do whatever they please, whenever they please, as long as we win. I'm just curious when our fans took on this attitude because we sure didn't used to have this frame of mind.

what? how is being curt to the media the same as saying and doing whatever he pleases, whenever he pleases, as long as he wins?

So those tantrums during the game and constantly chewing out players and dropping f-bombs is alright?

Yeah,, they are. There isn't a single thing wrong with them in my book. He's a hot head, big deal. It's not going to change, so you best be working on getting your panties out of a bunch. Stop whining people, I've heard worse from high school coaches. These are big boys-they can deal with it.

As far as the press, they get exactly what they deserve. They know the rules about what is & isn't okay-and when one of the morons starts contacting family about an injury that they don't even know about, they're all going to get the wrath of hell for it. He's never liked them, and he's never going to - so you might as well get used to that too, or just move on in your life.

When did so many people become a bunch of vaginas? I can't believe how many times this has been rehashed. GET OVER IT PEOPLE!!!!

  3. Don't take this the wrong way but shouldn't a team expected to make a national championship run have more of a difference maker at quarterback than what Nebraska currently has in Lee or Green? I'm just bringing that up, the team presumably has everything else that would be needed. Maybe I am missing something but I do live in Nebraska over the summer so I do keep up with things pretty well!

I don't get the hype. They already have a bullseye on their foreheads due to the conference move, but some of these expectations really seem to be off the charts. How many of these media blowhards saw anything besides the Texas & Zona games? I'm thinking not many.

  4. Actually, I think it WAS Pac-10 refs in that game...it was some kind of Pac-10 conference policy where they used their own refs for home games. I know most other conferences, when they play inter-conference games, use the visitors' conference refs. That policy has screwed some other teams playing in Pac-10 land.

I'm not 100% sure, but as soon as he mentioned Big 12 refs-the alarms went off. I could swear they were a Big 12 crew, but we're obviously going to have to find out now (Give me 20 minutes)

  5. "Desire to take someone out has very little to do with actually taking someone out, otherwise nobody would ever lose." Wrong. If a team is able to focus on a single game that they want to win, anything is possible. It happens every year.

"Conf road games could get loud, but really...Iowa State, KSU, Okie State?" You do realize that Iowa State won in Lincoln last year, right? I'm sure back to back wins vs. Nebraska wouldn't mean a thing to them.

Everyone we play in conference probably has the NU game circled. Since we're leaving, it's going to be really, really easy to motivate everyone we play. You'd have to be beyond naive to not realize that the entire conference wants NU to go out as losers.

Playing Texas-and then probably a second time in the CCG? LOL, yeah-sounds like a real cakewalk to me.

Put down the Kool Aid and the crack pipe! I didn't even mention Washington in Seattle. Ask Oklahoma how things went playing on the road vs. a Pac 10 team. Jobbed, robbed, raped, sodomized-call it whatever you want, but don't expect NU to get a fair shake up there, so if anything is in doubt-we're in trouble.

  6. Nebraska has one of the easier roads to the National Championship game. I think our biggest struggle will be staying up for the games against the sleepers...Washington, Oklahoma State...etc.

Huh? Easiest roads? What the ....?

Did it ever occur to you that every team we play in the Big 12 is going to want nothing more that take NU out since it's the last season in the conference? Did it ever occur to you where the Big 12 championship game is and who the opponent in it will be? Don't even get me started on how the refs in the Big 12 are going to treat NU this season.

p.s. Do you realize that Boise is loaded and has one real game this season?

  7. I think we will find out if they are any good in their first game @Va Tech.

And if we don't, it's going to be a long year-because the rest of their schedule is an absolute joke that UNO would go undefeated through (Joking, but you can see my point)

  8. obviously im expecting u guys to say Nebraska but could u tell me y

also give ur opinion on the other schools fans

Oklahoma fans are great. Epic amounts of longtime respect between them and NU due to the football rivalry.

Bama fans are great. They love their football almost as much as NU

Texas fans suck. According to them, the world revolves around Texas. Everything in Texas is better than it is everywhere else. That's how the view the rest of the country, and it carries down to their college football teams. The raging arrogance in Texas is out of control-and no one in the state will hesitate to tell you how much better than you they are.

    On a side note

Kansas fans are great. For the most part, they've always had an excellent basketball program, and we've had an excellent football program. Somewhat of a rivalry in both sports, but neither school has been able to establish anything long term in their down sport.

Kansas State fans are hilarious. They have a huge inferiority complex because regardless of how good they are at anything-which isn't very often, they are still KU's red headed stepchild. The fact that they are as irrelevant as they are makes them crazy, but it's never going to change. Most of the people who go to school there do so because they couldn't get into KU.

Colorado fans are a bunch of piss bomb(urine filled baloons) throwing trust fund babies from California trying to act like broke wannabe hippies in Boulder. Do I need to say any more?

Missouri fans are somewhat rabid, but most of their hate is directed at KU. This goes back to the days of slavery. These schools H-A-T-E each other. There is a trashy element among them, but it's certainly not everyone. There are a lot of horror stories from Nebraska fans who have set foot in the "State of Methsouri", let alone their stadium.

Oklahoma State fans are, well....fans. No real love or hate for anyone besides their instate battles with OU.

Iowa State has won one real football game in the history of the school and will run with that fluke for the next 50 years.

The rest of the Texas schools, well-they are just Texas's little brothers, and nobody outside of Texas really cares about them-but they are obsessed with each other.

  9. But I've never understood why athletes are so adamant on pushing God into sports.

It's not just about sports. Why do people who are so hung up in their religion and/or beliefs feel the need to push them onto others? Believe whatever you want to believe and do whatever you want to do as long as it doesn't affect me, but don't start blowing your cultish smoke up my rear end. Some of these sheep who constantly try to suck others into their gig are pathetic. It's not much of a stretch to call organized religion a publicly accepted cult.

  10.

It's saying something like, "I'm sorry, you need to upgrade your system to Windows Vista or Windows 7." Um, I have Windows Vista 32-bit, what the hell is the problem?

This isn't the answer that you're looking for, but I've seen that-on machines that are badly infected. I would say that it's time to download combofix, reboot into safe mode and let it do its thing. After a reboot or three, the Microsoft tool should work.
