  1. Osborne retired 15 minutes after this idea was placed on his desk.

Funny you mention that. My business partner handled the social media accounts for the athletic department until a few months back. Here is a story he posted on his facebook timeline yesterday.

I'll never forget my favorite TO moment from working in the athletic department

    *TO walks by my cube*

TO:"You are always on facebook whenever I walk by you"

Me:"That's my job. I'm the social media director"

    TO:"Oh okay"

    *TO walks away*

    Oh the memories.....

  2. I love the arrogance of some Husker fans. It's one of the main things that sometimes make me feel so unlike the majority of this fanbase. Those of you who think that traveling fans don't come here and experience the same type of a$$hole$ you see at other Universities, well you are just plain ignorant and need to get outside the house a bit more. Every fan base has dips$&ts running around. If we judged entire fan bases on those dumbasses, then every fan base would be considered rude. Nebraska has great fans, devoted fans, not so devoted fans, and fans that enjoy pooping on the opposing fans good times. Same as every other fuk'n University in this country. Get over yourselves.

Please tell me how it is arrogant for us to ask our fans to treat a pleasant poster with respect?

  3. I think everyone is being a little too nice. After I personally was a witness to how we were treated in Madison last year

Madison represents Wisconsin as much as Ernie Chambers represents Nebraska. Madison, Wisconsin is a slice of Cal Berkeley transported to a nice state. I spent a lot of time in Wisconsin, and the difference is akin to upstate New York vs. New York City.

Besides that, what you are is what you choose to be. No amount of Colorado fans, Texas Longhorns, or a slice of the Badger student body can affect your behavior. It's all whatever you want to be, so don't blame what you do or don't do on what someone else once did or didn't do. </SERMON>

    :clap

  4. I think everyone is being a little too nice. After I personally was a witness to how we were treated in Madison last year, I hope you lose by 40 and have a long miserable ride back home! I never had a problem with Wisky before that game but I will always remember how classless of a fan base you are! Although you will enjoy the atmosphere, the history, the tradition and the class of the Husker faithful! We are and always will be the REAL BIG RED! You win a couple conferense championchips and thing that your a perenial power...couldnt be further from the truth! Good luck but not really! GBR!

Calm down buddy. I'm doubting the OP was the one who treated you like sh#t, so show him the same courtesy that he/she is showing you. Because you had a bad experience at a game you can't treat an individual of the fanbase like sh#t because you have a bad perception of their collective whole, despite the fact that they are being perfectly polite and cordial.

  5. “It still looks like he’s skipping rocks out there to me,” Gilbert said. “But that’s not my concern. That’s probably more a concern of the defensive backs. My concern is hitting him. I don’t care what he throws like. I’m not trying to let him throw at all.

“He still can’t throw. I’m just going to say it. He still can’t throw. He’s not going to beat us with his arm.”

The Badgers intercepted Martinez three times during their game with the Huskers in 2011. So far in 2012, though, Wisconsin is the only Big Ten team yet to force a defensive turnover.

 People need to stop confusing an ugly throwing motion with not being able to throw.

  6. Not to be a dick or anything, but that would be the 6th most impressive rushing stat line at Nebraska. Would of been a nice guy to have, but I am not fretting about missed talent at the skill positions.

Who would of ever thought when Bo was hired that he would be able to land top QBs, RBs, and WRs easier than any other positions.

You can't really compare his numbers at ASU with our numbers. They are 46th in rushing and we are 5th with arguably one of the best running back groups in the country. I'm just glad he is doing well at ASU.

  7. Jason Peter quit his radio show and TO is stepping down. Only logical conclusion... JP is our new Athletic Director...

    :sarcasm

I don't mean to derail this thread, but I didn't see the need to start a new thread for "one" yes/no answer. Did Jason Peter really quit the show? I haven't listened since the first few days he was on, I will give it another chance if he did.

    He Quit

  8. It is health related. No point in spoiling it, I don't even know if they will discuss it really. Just listen to the presser in 45 minutes.

    Dr. Tom's or someone else's?

TO, He's not about to die or anything, but it's time for him to name his successor.

    Frank Solich?

    Jamie Williams
