  1. Uh, I'm not sure how this is Bo's fault.

Taylor "apparently" told Bo he was good to go. Taylor lied in numerous conversations with Bo stating that he was healthy enough to play.

That said, at a certain point it was pretty obvious Bo should've pulled Taylor.

Furthermore, they are FINALLY moving Santos away from Mike. THANK YOU LORD. ABOUT f'ing TIME.

Truthfully, I wouldn't mind if every LB lost their spot at this point. The depth chart needs to be rebuilt from the ground up. Their are some horrible inconsistencies. I hope Love/Newby are ready to go next year.

Give me Rose/Bando/(hopefully Love or Newby). I'm tired of these kids playing soft. GET VIOLENT.

Next - Randle, Josh Mitchell need to take a seat. And where was Leroy Alexander? Still waiting for Charles Jackson...

You can't blame Bo because Taylor lied about his health? Taylor had a hip pointer, injured shoulder and two broken toes. Bo/Taylor called it "turf toe". This staff hasn't been upfront about anything regarding team injuries, especially when it comes to Taylor. We have a top medical staff, and Taylor's word is only a tiny piece of what goes into deciding if a player is healthy enough to play.

I'm over this staff. Retain Brown and Fisher and lefts find some guys that know how to teach. They get to practice all week to hammer out these silly fundamentals, and our coaches repeatedly drop the ball in teaching these kids how to play basic football.

  2. Seriously people. THE PERSON THAT LEAKED THE TAPE WAS MOST LIKELY NOT IN THE ROOM.

To what I can tell there were most likely 4 people in the room.

Bo, Greg, Chris, and one other person running audio for the interview. That tape goes back to the Husker Sports Network, where a ton of people have access to it. It isn't about who was in the room.

  3. I know who recorded it. This conversation came right before they do the 1 on 1 post game interview with Greg Sharpe. The question is who leaked the tape, which could be one of many members of the Husker Sports Network, as well as anybody those workers might have sent the audio to.

Bo is a complete moron to be making comments like that just seconds before he is suppose to do a 1 on 1 radio interview, just a few feet away from the mic. He said in the post practice report yesterday that he learned "There could be a microphone hidden anywhere". Give me a break, YOU WERE WAITING TO START A RADIO INTERVIEW TWO FEET FROM WHERE YOU WHERE STANDING... OF COURSE THERE IS A DAMN MICROPHONE.

The other woman you hear in the tape is the Associate Athletic Director for Community Relations, and she should know better also. I won't name her but you can easily find out who. I'm tired of an idiotic administration making alumnus and fans look like fools.

"They can kiss my ass all the way out the f'ing door, because that day is f'ing coming now. We'll see what they do when I am f'ing gone"

  4. And this ladies in gentlemen is the beginning stages of our coaching change.

Do I blame coach for those feelings? Absolutely not. Will it negatively effect fans/boosters/administrations view of him moving forward? Absolutely yes.

Although these comments are out of context of our current situation... although they were an emotional, knee jerk reaction to a crazy game... although Bo has come a long way managing his demeanor... this tape will still act as gasoline for his hot seat.

  5. Tommie the player? AWESOME!! Tommie the coach? Mediocre. Tommie the fan? Irrelevant.

Battin' .333. Wouldn't be bad for the MLB.

    THIS

When did Tommy's opinion become any more relevant/respectable then anybody else. The fact that they asked Bo about it at the presser makes no sense to me. This whole situation is becoming one hell of a dumpster fire.

  6. I thought at times in the first half we did a lot of good thing defensively. For whatever reason in the second half, they didn't change much and we didn't change much. We didn't execute, got on our heels and played passively and non-aggressively. It was as much of a mental thing as a physical thing
  7. I’m probably in the minority here but I have to “root” for the guy and I sincerely hope he can right the ship

I don't think you are in the minority. I think the vast majority of Husker Nation likes Bo as a person, and a mentor for these kids. But the bottom line is that he doesn't consistently win important games, and when you are losing games, being a great person doesn't buy you a ton of slack.

  8. Listening to Bo so far this morning, it seems that he is taking this loss and current trend of the program just as seriously as the fans are. This may be the most honest response from Bo we have seen to date.

I'm glad he is taking what happened Saturday seriously, and not avoiding it with coach speak as he has done in the past. I think Bo is really feeling the urgency for success here.

I'll post some quotes as the Q&A starts.

  9. I was on the sideline the whole game and it was the loudest I have ever heard it in the first half. Previously, NU vs OU 2009 was the previous loudest croud ever and this was louder. I was trying to talk to people on the sideline when we were on defense and had to scream at the top of my lungs, I still couldn't even hear myself.

Once the team quit, so did the fans. I don't think you can put any of that loss on the fans.

  10. It's a hard situation. After over 5 years, Bo and company hasn't learned from VERY basic mistakes in strategy and scheme. If they could get over some of these issues I do think they could be a great staff, but if they haven't figured it out over the past 5 years, how much longer do they need?

Eventually something has to break. We simply cannot keep winning 9-10 games a year with a few bad loses sprinkled in. At some point we will either win a conference championship or have a losing season. Sadly I think latter of the two will come first.

So the question is, how many years are we willing to wait for either the ship to completely crash (losing season, still no growth in coaching), or for these very simply things to be fixed so we can become a team that is winning conference championships. Now weigh that number against the number of years it will take for us to return to a respectable program if we cleaned house. Is it worth it? Honestly I have no idea.
