have you never ever read reddit and the national perception that frosts offense will not work here because we cant recruit speed lmao? are you living under a rock?
I certainly have not seen nor heard that notion elsewhere. Admittedly, I do live under a rock. I just don’t understand how Reddit and the national perception are correlated.

Let's string two games together first.
“Let’s” not string any games because we aren’t the ones playing or coaching.
I hope you don’t play fantasy football, buy/sell in any sort of fluctuating markets, depend on weather forecasts, let your fuel tank below a quarter tank or your oil get a hair past 3,000 miles, or have any need for foresight whatsoever.

I think allowing players to accept endorsement deals or appearance/likeness fees is the only feasible way college athletes can be paid while still having college athletics to play.

I figured it out after evaluating the players and he didn't make it into my top 3. Hopefully he is better than first appearance. Lynn has a fat face so he probably makes weight with extra fat and he doesn't look athletic. 73 & 75 are obviously bigger frames so they can carry weight and maintain athleticism. If film shows they have good mobility, that's who I'd take. 60 has a smaller frame but looks athletic with decent size. 63 is tall with smaller frame, his fat makes it look like he has a bigger frame. 63 might have a decent frame but his height makes it difficult to make weight and generate the force needed to move people around.
I’m sure glad we don’t recruit players based on pictures.

JD’s dad Rick Spielman never played in the NFL. His uncle did.
I guess I figured former players who are well known counts as former well-known players? Nothing was said about NFL.

Careful, Nebraska's #3 WR fits that billing.

I was thinking Spielman isn’t our #3. Totally forgot about Kade Warner.
So... two out of our top three fit the bill.

Titanium dioxide? Who knows? How would you see a painted white stitch on a painted white helmet? Why waiste the time designing an outline, and why not just put a solid color print like they did? Why are we still discussing this?
I realize what you’re saying isn’t what Moiraine was talking about, but do we really want to be using an outfitter that’s thinking “oh, this will do, we don’t need to put in more effort/money if nobody can tell the difference”?
There’s always someone who can tell a difference. Your average person couldn’t tell you the difference between oxfords and derby shoes, but for the ones that appreciate those things, it makes them that much finer.
Much like those LSU helmets; if they’re gold under the lights, what’s the point of having irredescent helmets vs. just having the gold helmets? Because there’s an actual reason for it. If you’re going to do something, do it right.

My answer depends on how many of the remaining games the team won.
If it’s 0-12, I don’t think he would last. It was such a head-scratching hire in the first place; I’d have to think boosters would make their feelings known.

Spielman's touchdown return on the kick off last year against Arkansas State
That would be wild if his career moment happened on the first touch of his career. And kinda disappointing.

I think arguing if this is the worst team or not...and going back 70 years for data...means this is the worst team
Considering we’ve fielded football teams for nearly twice as many years, I think going back 70 years means “worst ever” is hyperbolic.

Couple of things.
-Scott Frost should stop distancing himself from this team. He should have taken some responsibility for the loss. He also threw his d coordinator under the bus
-Scott Frost and Co. came to Nebraska with hubris and arrogance. Frost still acts detached from this team, but asks for their trust. See the disconnect.
-Why did it take until AFTER the Colorado game for Nebraska to ask for a waiver for Noah Vedral. I thought Bill Moos was this great administrator
-Stop blaming the refs. The refs ain't the reason we are 0-6.
- Noah Vedral should redshirt this year, but I'd like to see him get some playing time this year.
-I don't get why Wyatt Mazour doesn't get any carries. Like none.
-These seniors have been through so many coaching changes. They've deserved better.
-I'm glad the Huskers benched Caleb L., but what does Pickering have to do to lose his job? Does he have compromising photos of Frost?!?!
-Frost doing the theatrics and doing the face rub after Pickering missed the PAT may have resonated with Joe SixPack, but it's embarrassing for a coach to hang a player out to dry. I get it, but his demeanor was one of a fan, not of a coach.
-Frost almost bragged in press conferences about how much he didn't like kickers, nor he didn't pay attention them. The kicking game has cost Nebraska at least two games this year.
-Overall, I thought the team looked better and improved.
-Noah Vedral was a like a 2nd QB coach. He knows the offense and was supportive of AM. He's a team player.
-It's no secret but the natives of Nebraska overachieve and play harder.
Not going to eat Frost alive over 4th down calls. No balls, no babies. But I don't know why the QB sneak isn't deployed more.
Keep the faith. GBR.
Umm... a couple is two. I stopped reading after that. Sounds like that was the right call.
Thanks for the heads up!!

Missing on Fant just chaps my hindquarters.
But Harrison Phillips is the one that will always bring a wire brush to my hemorrhoids. I don’t care what chance we had; he was an in-state kid.

It’s certainly possible. Not very probable, but I wouldn’t be shocked if it happened.

He will have his pick of NFL jobs in the next year or two. He could easily end up with the Browns to coach his boy Baker.

You fail to see where people on here have gone from comparing Frosts potential first season to Sabans and moved to comparing it to Barry Alvarez in a little more than a month?
Maybe because people are using apt comparisons? We all know what the reality is right now; so if you’re going to compare to find hope, you have to find something comparable. As things develop, that comparison changes.
Ergo: Alvarez.
(Psstt... it’s not against board rules to use deductive reasoning)

As long as he doesn’t take it to eleven like Tommie Frazier did at Doane.
QuoteFrazier, whose teams were 2-8 in 2005 and 1-9 this year, had whittled his squad to fewer than 40 players who were dressed for the final game of the season.

Well, we opened as a home underdog. To Purdue. And Frost thought this last game was rock bottom.....
The line is, in part, based on the performance in that game; so it’s kind of part and parcel.

I realize that we got our doors blown off yesterday, but we are not nearly as bad as the score indicates. I’m not saying we’re good, but we’re not winless until Bethune-Cookman bad either.
Peaks are never as high as they seem and valleys are never as low as they seem.
We win vs. Purdue.

I wouldn’t be surprised if we used him in those four games like TO used Bobby Newcombe his freshman year.
