  1. I said that everyone was saying how TERRIBLE this schedule was and that every team on it was terrible and doesn't deserve to be on any schedule, let alone all on the same. Now, there is at least a win column from this year to go along with the team name next year. Nothing about them not being so easy. They are still going to be a pushover in the way ULaLa was.

Well hell, nearly every team outside of the Pac-10 teams schedule a bunch of pansy teams, it's just the way it is. The funny thing is that if you check out many teams message boards they whine and complain about their schedule and how they don't want to go to boring games and they want someone good put on the schedule. Then they get their wish, get beat, and then inevitably the posts start changing into "I can't believe we scheduled this team"

Its kind of the reason why teams won't schedule the Boise, Utah, BYU type teams.

  2.

You're completely missing the point. Typical....

No I completely got your point. You thought when you scheduled Idaho that it was going to be an easy knockover game, and now it appears it won't be as easy.

This I counterpointed by saying that this game will still be as easy of a game as the day you scheduled them. The fact they won a couple more games this year than they normally do isn't going to change that.

Essentially nothing has changed for your program.

  3. I don't believe Idaho will give NU much of a challenge next year. They were a feel good story this year yes, but, they are a 5 loss team out of the WAC. They didn't even come close to touching any decent teams this year.

Unless NU makes absolutely no progress on the offensive side of the ball, I don't see how Idaho has any chance in that game.

Its not so much Idaho giving NU a game as much as it is they are a little better quality than originally thought they would be.

They probably won't be much better than the upper half of the Sun Belt, so I think it will be okay.

  5. Yeah, I bet he did that after careful consideration and with a mature, level head.

I don't wish the kid ill and I REALLY wonder what our coaches did to piss him off so bad, but his response, well, let's just say it's not going to earn him any sympathy from NU fans.

It's like Josh Freeman. Kid decommited but wasn't man enough to talk to the coaches, he just sent a text message. It's easy for you to remain detached because he didn't decommit from your school, but Curtis's little anti-NU crusade is way uncalled for. I hope you realize that of course this is going to draw the ire of NU fans, and I don't see where we are in the wrong for being upset.

I too would really like to know what was said between CC and NU coaches, but I've been that young before and it's hard for me to imagine acting like that unless someone had really done me wrong, which to be honest I think the NU coaches did do something or say something to him to set him off like that.

Again what he did and say wasn't cool, and I understand the anger Husker fans have, BUT he is an 18 year old kid (and most teenagers do stupid things), and I would think most of the people who post here are more mature than an 18 year old kid, I could be wrong though.

  6. Curtis is an immature young man. He will need all the luck he can get.

Would that make you a mature person for labeling someone else? Give it a rest geez. He is going somewhere he thinks will be the best for him, why would you begrudge him? Do you honestly want someone on your team that doesn't want to be there?

I'm sad that he isn't coming to Mizzou, but I am not going to trash talk him because he isn't. I thought the NU fans were supposed to be classy.

yeah, what Curtis did afterwards was not cool. Way to handle it, kid.

You would be pissed too if it had been a Missouri commit.

Same reply as above. I seriously doubt that he did this just on a whim. You'd think the adults in the situation would be the ones to step up and act like it.

  7. It's a little different when Curtis has drug NU's name through the mud and attempted to sway other commits from signing with Nebraska.

Not that I am condoning it, but there must be a reason for it. My guess is that the NU coaches had some not so nice things to say to him around the time he decommitted.

I'm saying this because Carter did take a visit to MU and obviously decided to go to TCU, but according to his interviews he had a good time in Columbia and liked the coaches. He hasn't said anything bad about Mizzou's program, so that has to make you wonder what was going on behind the scenes between NU's coaches and CC.

  9. Unfortunately this site went down during most Husker games. I don't know if it couldn't handle the volume of traffic or what . . . but the Missouri game was not a rarity.

However, how do you explain the gap in your posting between October 7th and December 1st of this year? Is your hypocrisy showing again? Seems you joined in the weeks before the MU-NU game . . . talked a bit . . . and disappeared for a few months after your whipping. Yet you complain about Nebraska fans doing the same. Curious. Maybe you should quit while you are behind.

And what would there have been to talk about in that time period? I made a few posts before the game, there wasn't much to say after the game, and since that time almost all of my posts have been related to potential recruits.

  10. (also . . . since this topic appears to be thoroughly derailed, check out this link. http://www.tigerboard.com/boards/missouri-...message=6639206 In this post from May of last year that huskerh8er guy talks about how overrated the 2009 Nebraska defense will be . . . and he says how Ziggy Hood is better than Suh. Haha. Oops.)

For the record Huskerh8ter is an idiot and I have told him so myself on more than one occasion. There can be no doubt that guy has an obsession with NU but that is not my fault, and I would feel very comfortable saying that he doesn't represent even a small minority of the MU fan base.

  11. It's not quite hypocritical when the main reason here hate people from mizzou is the fact that you jump off and on the bandwagon more often than a porn star jumps off and on ****. Take a look at it.... Come in and talk sh#t before the nu mu football game, you say you'll be back, then get your ass handed to you, never come back. Then, CC and TG decommit from NU, and you come back talking about how great MU's class is and how great you are. It's pathetic. CC goes to a 2nd tier school in TCU (yes, 2nd tier, sure they've had a good few years, but when an undefeated season gets you anything less than a MNC opportunity, you're 2nd tier.) You get TG. Congrats, he'll never see the field. You get Gabbert, we get Rome.. I'll take that trade 100 times out of 100. Thanks and good day.

There is too much BS in that post to even warrant a proper response. So I guess I will just have to ask where all of the Husker fans were after last year's beatdown in Lincoln? They were nowhere to be found especially on Tigerboard. This year before the game was even played there were but 2 people who regularly came to TB. Up until the 4th quarter there was NO ONE on TB saying anything, and in fact this very site was locked down. Then miraculously as soon as NU took the lead it was back online and everyone started showing back up on TB.

So please don't give me that crap.

  12. Sounds like someone needs to lighten up. I wasn't complaining about MU fans coming onto Huskerboard. YOU were the one bringing up the Nebraska posters on Tigerboard. I explained why those posters are there . . . which is entirely the fault of Tigerboard posters . . . and you got all defensive. If anyone is being hypocritical here it is yourself. Look at the complaints you keep repeating . . . when I've proven that your fanbase does and says the exact same things. Do you understand what I am saying? I'm honestly trying to make this as simple and clear as possible.

I brought up the Husker fans on Tigerboard because one of YOUR fans brought up MU fans on Huskerboard first

What are some of these Mizzery fans obsession with NU? This IS huskerboard.com right??

So perhaps you should probably read the whole thread first before making an assumption. It was I who proved that Huskers do the same thing Tiger fans do and vise versa, so the whole point really was that neither fan bases should be commenting or asking why each other are on their opponents respective boards, because both sides do it. The only thing that is at issue here is which side brought it up first, in this case it was EZ-E.

  13. Half of the topics over there are about Nebraska or Kansas. It's kind of Huskerboard v.2 . . . except less civil. Check our football board and let me know how many topics on the front page are about Missouri. Now check Tigerboard at any given time and see how many times Nebraska comes up. THAT's why Nebraska fans are over there. Stop talking about Nebraska 24/7 and they will get bored and move on.

That is not for you to decide what people on Tigerboard talk about. However if you are going to use that standard then you have no right to bitch when MU fans come to Huskerboard and comment on subjects which involve their school.

Don't be a hypocrite, what's good for the goose is good for the gander.

  14. What are some of these Mizzery fans obsession with NU? This IS huskerboard.com right??

Who all identify themselves as husker fans, each have hundreds of posts over on Tigerboard. Do they have a MU obsession?

  15. Do you need me to post the quotes from MU fans regarding Blaine? I'd be more than happy to do so. Check out those floor to ceiling windows on your home before you go throwing stones, alright?

All of the things you just said . . . I can provide examples of the EXACT SAME THING regarding BOTH Gabberts . . . from your own fans.

Or are you just trying to hold NU to a higher standard than you hold yourselves? I guess I should be alright with that because we try to do so ourselves.

Yes as a matter of fact I would like you to provide them, links and all. So go ahead post them.

And for every one post you might find from MU I'll respond with 2 from your own board.

  16. By the way, Gabbert is not at all worthy of 4 stars. I am sorry.

He was when he was committed to NU though <_<

Sigh. Here we go again. According to MU fans B. Gabbert was overrated and played terrible competition when he was committed to NU. As soon as he decommitted and committed to MU he was the best quarterback in the country. Do you really want to play this game? You're a member of one of the most fickle and fair-weather fan bases in the country.

Don't make this about MU, it was one of YOUR fans who just stated Gabbert wasn't worthy of 4 stars. I simply countered that this statement was in contradiction to many of the posts in Tyler's recruiting profile prior to rumors of his decommitment. So do I want to play this game? Absolutely because as they say the proof is in the pudding, and it's pretty easy to see the pudding here.

Do you need me to post the quotes here?

P.S. I would say that many MU fans are happy to have Tyler on the team, although most of the MU fan base realizes that Tyler will probably never see the field in a starting role at QB. So what difference does it really make whether he is a 3 star or a 4 star? Answer.... none, but you just needed a reason to bitch.

  17. Are there any dbs or athletes that are going to be switching positions?

As I understand it that is possibility, I don't know the specifics however.

Henry Josey could very well end up as a running back or on the defensive side of the ball.

Darvin Ruise plays QB in high school but won't be playing QB at Mizzou so I don't know what the plans are for him.

Easterly will probably end up in the secondary.

Other than that there are only a couple that would probably project to outside linebacker due to their quickness and ability to drop into coverage.

It will be interesting in the next couple of years to see where these players end up.

I have a feeling that Mizzou's recruiting class next year will try to get at least a couple big time defensive and offensive linemen to replenish the ranks.

  18. I need to edit my previous comments, I only see 2 DE's and 1 DT listed in MU's current recruits. I thought they had 3 DE's? Anyway I would be really worried about that if I was a Tiger Fan. I guess they have faith in what they have on the Roster for LB and D-Line, but I see more room for those positions than all of the Defensive Backs they took. 7 players that look like they will be DB's, wouldn't it be better to use 2 of those spots for a DT and a LB or even another DE?

Here is what I see. We have 3 seniors graduating on the defensive side of the ball from this year's team.

    Brian Coulter - DE

    Jeron Baston - DT

    Sean Weatherspoon - LB

Everyone else on the front line is either a RS Fr or a Sophomore. Baston was an okay DT but nothing special. Spoon was a beast and he will be missed.

However we do have Luke Lambert to replace Spoon, Lambert being the one who had a season ending injury and was a darn good LB before he got hurt. Sheldon Richardson was supposed to be Coulter's replacement next year after what would have been a probable redshirt this year. Unfortunately that ended up not working out. Next year I will assume that Jacquies Smith will move over to the other end position to bookend Aldon Smiith. Sheldon will be back after next year with 3 years of eligibility.

We also have several players on the roster who aren't on the 2 deep to step in if need be. Ealy, Hoch if he stays on the defensive side of the ball, and a few others. The coaches are really the only ones who know what will make up next years team though, so if they are recruiting the players they are recruiting, I can only assume it is for a reason, and that reason is probably that they feel pretty comfortable depth wise up front (11 returning defensive lineman for next season).

  19. The tiggers are putting together a very nice class.

A whole lot of very good WR's in this class. I don't see a lot of Defensive Talent though.

    3/4 WRs ... 9 DE/DB

Uhhh which team's recruiting board are you looking at?

  20. So you are admitting that Hoch isnt that good???

I don't know where you got that out of what I said. I don't know how good he is as I haven't seen any of his videos, and even that is not an end all be all of how good a recruit it. He was offered by 5 schools, Iowa having a pretty stout defense year after year. From all indications he will be playing a different position at MU than what he was expected to at Iowa. How will that work out for him and the MU program? I have no idea.

and some players don't need to.

    huh? :dunno

As for this, there have been a number of players who have excelled at their positions despite the coaches they have behind them. I don't expect Matt to end up being an All-American or anything like that though.
