  1. Well hell, nearly every team outside of the Pac-10 teams schedule a bunch of pansy teams, it's just the way it is. The funny thing is that if you check out many teams message boards they whine and complain about their schedule and how they don't want to go to boring games and they want someone good put on the schedule. Then they get their wish, get beat, and then inevitably the posts start changing into "I can't believe we scheduled this team" Its kind of the reason why teams won't schedule the Boise, Utah, BYU type teams.
  2. No I completely got your point. You thought when you scheduled Idaho that it was going to be an easy knockover game, and now it appears it won't be as easy. This I counterpointed by saying that this game will still be as easy of a game as the day you scheduled them. The fact they won a couple more games this year than they normally do isn't going to change that. Essentially nothing has changed for your program.
  3. Its not so much Idaho giving NU a game as much as it is they are a little better quality than originally thought they would be. They probably won't be much better than the upper half of the Sun Belt, so I think it will be okay.
  4. I don't believe Idaho will give NU much of a challenge next year. They were a feel good story this year yes, but, they are a 5 loss team out of the WAC. They didn't even come close to touching any decent teams this year. Unless NU makes absolutely no progress on the offensive side of the ball, I don't see how Idaho has any chance in that game.
  5. I too would really like to know what was said between CC and NU coaches, but I've been that young before and it's hard for me to imagine acting like that unless someone had really done me wrong, which to be honest I think the NU coaches did do something or say something to him to set him off like that. Again what he did and say wasn't cool, and I understand the anger Husker fans have, BUT he is an 18 year old kid (and most teenagers do stupid things), and I would think most of the people who post here are more mature than an 18 year old kid, I could be wrong though.
  6. Would that make you a mature person for labeling someone else? Give it a rest geez. He is going somewhere he thinks will be the best for him, why would you begrudge him? Do you honestly want someone on your team that doesn't want to be there? I'm sad that he isn't coming to Mizzou, but I am not going to trash talk him because he isn't. I thought the NU fans were supposed to be classy. yeah, what Curtis did afterwards was not cool. Way to handle it, kid. You would be pissed too if it had been a Missouri commit. Same reply as above. I seriously doubt that he did this just on a whim. You'd think the adults in the situation would be the ones to step up and act like it.
  7. Not that I am condoning it, but there must be a reason for it. My guess is that the NU coaches had some not so nice things to say to him around the time he decommitted. I'm saying this because Carter did take a visit to MU and obviously decided to go to TCU, but according to his interviews he had a good time in Columbia and liked the coaches. He hasn't said anything bad about Mizzou's program, so that has to make you wonder what was going on behind the scenes between NU's coaches and CC.

  9. And what would there have been to talk about in that time period? I made a few posts before the game, there wasn't much to say after the game, and since that time almost all of my posts have been related to potential recruits.
  10. For the record Huskerh8ter is an idiot and I have told him so myself on more than one occasion. There can be no doubt that guy has an obsession with NU but that is not my fault, and I would feel very comfortable saying that he doesn't represent even a small minority of the MU fan base.
  11. There is too much BS in that post to even warrant a proper response. So I guess I will just have to ask where all of the Husker fans were after last year's beatdown in Lincoln? They were nowhere to be found especially on Tigerboard. This year before the game was even played there were but 2 people who regularly came to TB. Up until the 4th quarter there was NO ONE on TB saying anything, and in fact this very site was locked down. Then miraculously as soon as NU took the lead it was back online and everyone started showing back up on TB. So please don't give me that crap.
  12. I brought up the Husker fans on Tigerboard because one of YOUR fans brought up MU fans on Huskerboard first So perhaps you should probably read the whole thread first before making an assumption. It was I who proved that Huskers do the same thing Tiger fans do and vise versa, so the whole point really was that neither fan bases should be commenting or asking why each other are on their opponents respective boards, because both sides do it. The only thing that is at issue here is which side brought it up first, in this case it was EZ-E.
  13. That is not for you to decide what people on Tigerboard talk about. However if you are going to use that standard then you have no right to bitch when MU fans come to Huskerboard and comment on subjects which involve their school. Don't be a hypocrite, what's good for the goose is good for the gander.
  14. Why don't you ask: Grosser THRICE66 Nebraska99 cornhuskerfan2009 huskermike1 resdog851 JohnnyHusker Coach Andy noolan redster3.0 huskerlaw footballgary BRUSKER SantaBarbaraSker Linebacker play (among many others) Who all identify themselves as husker fans, each have hundreds of posts over on Tigerboard. Do they have a MU obsession?
  15. Yes as a matter of fact I would like you to provide them, links and all. So go ahead post them. And for every one post you might find from MU I'll respond with 2 from your own board.
  16. He was when he was committed to NU though Sigh. Here we go again. According to MU fans B. Gabbert was overrated and played terrible competition when he was committed to NU. As soon as he decommitted and committed to MU he was the best quarterback in the country. Do you really want to play this game? You're a member of one of the most fickle and fair-weather fan bases in the country. Don't make this about MU, it was one of YOUR fans who just stated Gabbert wasn't worthy of 4 stars. I simply countered that this statement was in contradiction to many of the posts in Tyler's recruiting profile prior to rumors of his decommitment. So do I want to play this game? Absolutely because as they say the proof is in the pudding, and it's pretty easy to see the pudding here. Do you need me to post the quotes here? P.S. I would say that many MU fans are happy to have Tyler on the team, although most of the MU fan base realizes that Tyler will probably never see the field in a starting role at QB. So what difference does it really make whether he is a 3 star or a 4 star? Answer.... none, but you just needed a reason to bitch.
  17. He was when he was committed to NU though
  18. The rule and I'm paraphrasing here. If you are going to get forward progress then the clock continues to run.
  19. Now switched from Utah to Arkansas.
  20. As I understand it that is possibility, I don't know the specifics however. Henry Josey could very well end up as a running back or on the defensive side of the ball. Darvin Ruise plays QB in high school but won't be playing QB at Mizzou so I don't know what the plans are for him. Easterly will probably end up in the secondary. Other than that there are only a couple that would probably project to outside linebacker due to their quickness and ability to drop into coverage. It will be interesting in the next couple of years to see where these players end up. I have a feeling that Mizzou's recruiting class next year will try to get at least a couple big time defensive and offensive linemen to replenish the ranks.
  21. Visited MU this weekend. May be considering switching his commit from Illinois to MU. Correction, he has switched his commitment to MU after this weekend.
  22. Here is what I see. We have 3 seniors graduating on the defensive side of the ball from this year's team. Brian Coulter - DE Jeron Baston - DT Sean Weatherspoon - LB Everyone else on the front line is either a RS Fr or a Sophomore. Baston was an okay DT but nothing special. Spoon was a beast and he will be missed. However we do have Luke Lambert to replace Spoon, Lambert being the one who had a season ending injury and was a darn good LB before he got hurt. Sheldon Richardson was supposed to be Coulter's replacement next year after what would have been a probable redshirt this year. Unfortunately that ended up not working out. Next year I will assume that Jacquies Smith will move over to the other end position to bookend Aldon Smiith. Sheldon will be back after next year with 3 years of eligibility. We also have several players on the roster who aren't on the 2 deep to step in if need be. Ealy, Hoch if he stays on the defensive side of the ball, and a few others. The coaches are really the only ones who know what will make up next years team though, so if they are recruiting the players they are recruiting, I can only assume it is for a reason, and that reason is probably that they feel pretty comfortable depth wise up front (11 returning defensive lineman for next season).
  23. A whole lot of very good WR's in this class. I don't see a lot of Defensive Talent though. 3/4 WRs ... 9 DE/DB Uhhh which team's recruiting board are you looking at?
  24. I don't know where you got that out of what I said. I don't know how good he is as I haven't seen any of his videos, and even that is not an end all be all of how good a recruit it. He was offered by 5 schools, Iowa having a pretty stout defense year after year. From all indications he will be playing a different position at MU than what he was expected to at Iowa. How will that work out for him and the MU program? I have no idea. huh? As for this, there have been a number of players who have excelled at their positions despite the coaches they have behind them. I don't expect Matt to end up being an All-American or anything like that though.
  25. Visited MU this weekend. May be considering switching his commit from Illinois to MU.
