garter snakes. very common, perhaps the most common, reptile in america. i dont know much about getting rid of them because they usually only go inside to stay warm at night. you might want to look for small cracks in your house, or perhaps they got in through an open door. ive never found one in my own house before. sorry.

Once a Husker...well, you get the idea.

CALVERT, Md. - Toby, a 2-year-old golden retriever, saw his owner choking on a piece of fruit and began jumping up and down on the woman's chest. The dog's owner believes the dog was trying to perform the Heimlich maneuver and saved her life.
Debbie Parkhurst, 45, of Calvert told the Cecil Whig newspaper she was eating an apple at her home Friday when a piece lodged in her throat. She attempted to perform the Heimlich maneuver on herself but it didn't work. After she began beating on her chest, she said Toby noticed and got involved.
"The next think I know, Toby's up on his hind feet and he's got his front paws on my shoulders," she recalled. "He pushed me to the ground, and once I was on my back, he began jumping up and down on my chest."
That's when the apple dislodged and Toby started licking her face to keep her from passing out, she said.
"I literally have paw print-shaped bruises on my chest. I'm still a little hoarse, but otherwise, I'm OK," Parkhurst said.
"The doctor said I probably wouldn't be here without Toby," said Parkhurst, a jewelry artist. "I keep looking at him and saying, 'You’re amazing."'

and if you go 2 miles west of omaha, you dont get 1620.
One of my good friends lives in Lincoln and I got him hooked on Unsportsmanlike Conduct (1620) almost every day. He said it gets staticky here and there, but it comes in for the most part. Hell, I get staticky sections in different parts of Omaha. Also, I believe after 5-6 pm, the station 'powers down' their signal...I may be completely off my rocker, but thought I heard that. Evidently the ESPN Radio affiliate in Lincoln, the local sports show in particular, sucks.
The station, probably at times, is a little overly Husker-football based, but let's face it....it appeals to the majority of listeners in their broadcast range.
lucky him. that hasnt been my experience at all, and i know im not the only one.

sounds like potter needs an attitude adjustment.
it will happen once pierre allen takes his spot.

All that aside, am I mistaken in thinking the players vote for the captains, or is it appointed by the coaches?
you are not mistaken, the players vote.

I am the world's biggest husker fan (aren't we all), but I also am not afraid to tell it "like it is".....in other words, I don't wear the perverbial "big red blinders", but i will say that Matt Perault is a complete dumbass from the hicks of SEC country.....He thinks he knows it all, when he absolutely doesn't know sh!t......I am not saying this because he occassionally bashes NU...but the fact is, most of us know more about sports than this idiot....I have called him a few times to set the record straight...
Hell, Kugler and Severe, especially Severe bash the Huskers often also, but at least they don't come across arrogant and they are informed....Heck, Kugler even works nationally for westwood one radio...he was doing live broadcasts of the great 8......these guys are good and pretty humorous....don't waste your time with 590 am.
heh im not defending him, because i disagree with a lot of stuff he says too, but i hate to inform you, not sayin youre not informed , but he is from boston.
590 from 11 to 2 is great i also like andrew siciliano and jt the brick. and if you go 2 miles west of omaha, you dont get 1620.
-
Your weird............
look at where he is located, it will explain everything.

590 am talks about husker football every once in a while too, but not everybody likes matt perault.

I think we really need to stay focused evry week. We have to stay focused on each opponet and not be thinking about the game ahead. We also need to play 4 quarters of football if we are going to have a successful season. Im more nervous about okie st. and mizzou because there is no reason we should lose to them.
both teams have a high powered offense, with plenty of veterans returning. the mizzou game really scares me because of their offense, plus we play in columbia, which is a place we havent done very well in recent years.
-
i wont have to worry, i dont drink butt light.
those ducks are as good as dead, unless they use crown royal bottles (shh dont tell them that)
-
you wont be able to prove it yourself, its up to the huskers.
-
we go 10-2 in the regular season. we lose to Texas and Mizzou, then we beat OU in the CCG. BCS Bowl bound.
-
what a prick.
-
I don't have to move around as much, and I get to spend most of the time hitting people."
thats what i like to hear, but i like it even more when i see it being done on the field.
-
that is pretty neat. i like the part just over the half way mark where the LT almost smiles, but its just a proud smirk.
-
makes you wonder who the real architect for the success he had at Boise St was, doesnt it?
-
for once a juco lineman could work out for us.
-
lol thats pretty good.

i have a 360 and its pretty neat. i know u said you dont like games with a sci-fi edge, but Gears of War is one of the funnest games i have ever played, and it is a must-have for any 360 owner. ive played video games for over 20 years on every contraption ever invented, and im tellin you, Gears of War for the 360 is awesome.
Rainbow Six Vegas is fun too, and its a tactical shooter, which from your own description would be up your alley.
Full Auto is really fun, its Need For Speed except with machine guns, missiles, mines, cannons, and more jumps.
The Outfit is ok, its a WWII game that has a battlefield 1942 feel to it, except its 3rd person but dont let that deter you. its very cheap, ive seen used copies for 15-20 bucks
any other questions feel free to ask.
