  1.

This class is just fine. A lot of talent across the board. We will get a QB that will probably be better than Gabbert. As for Carter...who knows what he could be. He's fast but his videos don't show me much other than he can run in a straight line. Neb is high on a lot of kids and this class has the potential to be outstanding.

Lock this thread. Miami is just starting sh*t and it's in the wrong place.

Chill out, and dont be so anal about someones views. He didnt even say anything negative, just to the fact that nebraska always gets "Jewd" on people leaving.

In the long run its better that these kids leave. I am about the same age as them and college decisions were hard for me and i wasn't even going for athletics. Kids just need to take there time and not decide when they are on a one week high on a team.

  2. I'd like to point out that Suh is actually leading the straight count and that the projections are based on historical regional bias. I really don't think the media on the coasts and the former winners are going to let a defensive player win, but I will mention that Suh being a non-traditional finalist as a defensive player may mean the projection is wrong. I have no proof, but it seems like this is the latest I've seen the majority of voters turn in their ballots.

I would say gerhart has the advantage at the beginning being in the most populous state, and all they see over there is pac-10 games. But i sure hope suh can get this, if not get second to make a statement!!

Give him a seat next to McCoy, so when he wins he can stiff arm mccoy out of his chair!!

  3. FWIW, someone on the Rivals board heard from someone in Texas who knows recruiting pretty well that Aaron is a heavy NU lean at this point. Apparently, in Texas, they think that it will be basically a fight between us and USC for his services on the gridiron. That bodes well for us, if Aaron knows how to read depth charts...

as long as we get his cousin, i think its ours to miss. he will be the #1 back for two or three years and it would be awesome to have him!!

  4. I know the Packers of Green and B. Jack, the Rams have Incognito and Carriker, those are the only two teams that I can think of that have more than one husker.

Also Bears have Bullocks and Bowman

Denver has Hochstein and Buckhalter that i know of and the hopeless chiefs have Williams and Brown i think

  5. Seems like Pelini possesses several qualities that ND might be looking for in their coaching search:

    1. He's Catholic

    2. Defensive-minded coach

    3. Ties to the Midwest (Cardinal Mooney High School and Ohio State)

    4. Steady demeanor while under the microscope (as seen during his time here at Nebraska- a coach's

ability to handle scrutiny is very important at ND)

    5. Ability to turn a program around quickly i.e. strong leadership

He's probably not being mentioned because of his short time as a head coach. Not sure about his personal desire to coach there either.

    Just a few thoughts.

I can just imagine Bo swearing up and down those sidelines enough to make Touchdown Jesus cover his ears a little
