    South Florida

While Lane Kiffin remains a candidate at South Florida, he may not have an endorsement from a member of the current staff.

David Reaves is the Bulls' associate head coach/tight ends coach. Reaves is also Kiffin's soon-to-be-former brother-in-law. Kiffin's wife, Layla, filed for divorce in March citing "irreconcilable differences."

One source close to the South Florida search told CBS Sports "that well has been poisoned" in regards to Kiffin's candidacy at South Florida.

leave it to Kiffin to be involved in something like this. I'd be shocked if he became the head coach

Tide has the best players that money can buy. So sure......

How Nick Saban and Alabama have not been investigated and put on probation by now is a bigger mystery than why people still like the Kardashians.

They'll go under investigation about 5 years after Nick leaves, and none of the assistants are there so they can punish the coaches and players that had nothing to do with it...

  3. I just can't wrap my head around Jabrill Peppers....he shouldn't be in over D'Onta Freeman, Dalvin Cook, McCaffrey, Quinton Flowers, Donnel Pumphrey, Corey Davis, Jonathan Allen, and honestly some of his own teammates. I just don't get it...

Franklin American Mortgage Music City Bowl: Nebraska vs. No. 21 Tennessee

(3:30 p.m., ESPN, Nissan Stadium, Nashville, Tennessee)

Both teams faded down the stretch, and it's difficult to trust a Tennessee team that so rarely plays to its talent level. But the Vols will be playing a virtual home game and Nebraska looked dreadful its last time out against Iowa. Tennessee ends a disappointing season on a feel-good note, but it's fleeting as Butch Jones will be on the hot seat in 2017.

    Tennessee 36, Nebraska 28.

I can see that prediction happening. My only question is: Can we actually score 28?

If Vanderbilt can put up 45 points on the Volunteers defense, I think we can reach 28.

Would love to see statistics if teams the play bowls in their own state actually win more

Well, at least we don't have to see Banker's defense get its ass handed to it by USC (as was the fear for a while). I am surprised the Rose Bowl invited SC since they didn't even win their half of the conference. It seems that they should have taken Colorado. Once again, the mixed messages about the importance of making a conference championship game just continue to stack up.

USC beat Colorado and are the only team to beat Washington this season, in Seattle. Who Colorado just lost to 41-10. USC is the better team, they belong in the Rose Bowl.

Yeah, but Nebraska beat Oregon, Oregon beat Utah, and Utah beat USC. So Nebraska is better than Washington AND USC AND Colorado.

    It's science.

I'll take it one step further. Rutgers beat New Mexico. New Mexico beat South Dakota. South Dakota beat Illinois St. Illinois St beat Northwestern. Northwestern beat Iowa. Iowa beat Michigan. Michigan beat Penn St.

Therefore, Rutgers belongs in the Rose Bowl.

  7. Alrighty, so who are you all cheering for?

It'd be nice to have OSU win to make the B1G look good... but deep down I don't want them to win. I'd prefer it be Washington or Clemson. Kind of want it to be Washington just because of everyone talking about how they don't stand a chance.

And of course, almost no one wants Alabama to win.

I'm pulling for Washington the most. I'd just be happy seeing Bama not win, but this might be the best team Saban has had
