That's a pretty tough region. UCLA is very winnable but I would fear Iowa State.

As long as we don't give up 7 turnovers, I think Bo could coach the basketball team and beat them.

I felt that exact way yesterday when we started getting a bit behind. I thought, well, here goes. Thinking the team was going to begin to panic, take some awful shots and fall apart. Instead of forcing shots and turning the ball over though, these guys started taking it to the hoop, drawing fouls. The defense stepped up, we started to fight. Damn that was fun to watch. Suddenly we became the team putting the game away, and you could see Wisconsin was the team feeling the pressure, and they were buckling beneath it. When this Husker team drives to the hoop, makes their free throws, and plays solid defense, they are really a tough team to stop. That goes for all teams obviously, but it's just neat to see Nebraska is finally one of those teams. Playing very good basketball.

Can't argue with ^^, This team is really developing, playing with confidence. The defense is night and day from the beginning of the season.

Comparing what Miles has done with the talent here vs the other teams in the conference.

 

 

Michigan: Two 5-stars, three 4-stars (not including Mitch McGary).

Wisconsin: One 5-star, two 4-stars, five 3-stars.

Michigan State: One 5-star, seven 4-stars, five 3-stars.

Ohio State: Eight 4-stars, three 3-stars.

 

Just to emphasize how severe the talent disparity is between the Huskers and the rest of the B1G: Indiana, who Nebraska just beat at Assembly Hall and currently sit at 8th in the conference, have seven players that would have been considered the best recruit in Nebraska history.

And there ya go. I'm always glad when Huskers get individual awards...but at the end of the day...just win, baby.

Who are we punching?

Look at how we started in conference play. 1-5. Look at how we finished. 10-2. This is why Tim Miles should get conference coach of the year.

I have some obvious bias towards Beilein, but if anybody should win it other than him I think it's pretty clear and I don't think a single rational UM fan would be upset about it.

I think Miles deserves it, but I'd trade it...and I'm sure he'd trade it...for a good tourney run.

Give Beilein credit...he's the only coach that beat Nebraska at PBA....by one point...by basically one inch. Think about that for a moment. Nebrasketball was almost undefeated at home. The team picked to finish dead-last in the conference. Wow. Give credit where credit is due, Coach Miles has really transformed this team. This is coaching at its finest.

Gotta give props to Wiscy...it was easy to see why they're #9 in the country...they can shoot lights out at any given moment. Hated most of the officiating, but that was an entertaining, hard-fought game. Keep it rolling Huskers!

Refs are a bit suspect, but that's no excuse. We're playing well, but we need to attack EVERY TIME we touch the ball. They're 3-point shooting is off the charts. I expect them to digress a bit back to the mean, but we cannot let up on the defensive end!

The NCAA must've installed a new rule that you're allowed to slide your pivot foot and/or take three steps.

Our defense in the lane is outstanding. They've got to get cold from the outside eventually.

They typically don't. But hopefully the D is good and the crowd stays on them.

We can't be giving them open 3's like that. THIS team makes them.
