  1. I just find it hilarious that there's actually spec and a meltdown over thoughts that Turner's gonna come in and take the job away from a 3rd year guy with a year's of experience and another that was an elite 11 prospect. It's gonna be a situational thing. A wrinkle like was said before. And I'll bet the farm that the majority of Turner's snaps this year remain from the WR position.

And that's what I projected. And a 'situational thing' is fine. But why waste your time doing it in the Spring?! You've got two QB's, one with less than half a season of game experience, one coming off a redshirt that needs all the experience he can get, and you're doing this?! And he's getting the majority of the reps? This just isn't making a whole lot of sense unless Armstrong and Stanton aren't very good. Because if you're really going to plug JT into a QB position, you just lost an experienced WR.

  2. I'd really like to know whose idea this was...the coaches or JT's...either way, don't like either choice. I realize it's only spring ball, and early at it at that, but we've got two QB's that need a LOT of reps and experience this spring, and now we're running an experiment? I don't care that Jamal 'was' a QB....he hasn't been one for YEARS. And you only get a limited amount of practices. This isn't switching from DT to OT. And especially not going into your last year. SMH.

  3. The badgers match up all too well. Their bigs are athletic and very comfortable playing out away from the basket. They have three very good guards that are strong and smart. The biggest thing may be both Shields and Petteway should have a bit of a height advantage over whomever guards them. Wisky doesn't foul a lot either, believe they may just lead the nation is the least fouls per game. This could be huge as NU rolls great when they are living at the line.

I was thinking about the fouls down low too. Can't let that get us in trouble. Might depend on what kind of game the refs decide to call.

  4. GSG's Useless Fact of the Day:

The Flyer Name: The name is a reference and homage to Daytonians Orville and Wilbur Wright who pioneered heavier than air flight. Orville and Wilbur Wright designed the Wright Flyer I and fabricated many of its components, including the propellers and engine, at their bicycle shop in Dayton. The Wright Flyer I was the first powered aircraft to achieve sustained, controlled flight.

I knew this. I saw their museum when I was in Dayton. And I still thought their team was the Spiders. Granted, that was 16 years ago when I was there, but still...

  5. Yes i am drunk.,,,,

But i just love Tim Miles... What he has done for this team is amazing... so this thread is to share how much you love Tim Miles!

If you wake up days from now, hungover, and Notre Dame is relevant again, Russian is the official language, and 'Golden Girls' is the only thing on TV...just kill yourself. Well...kill me first...and then have at it.

  6. Jerry Palm, CBS Sports Chief Bracketologist said today (Monday) on his online show that he thinks that we have a 60% chance of getting in. That we will go 1-1 these next two games and then need a Quarterfinal win in the Conf. Tourney.

The other analyst (not sure his name) said he thinks we have a 75% chance and will win both these last two games. He also thinks we could make a deep run in the Conf./ Tournament.

Edit: The other analyst was Jordan Cornette (Works for CBS Sports)

Kirk Herbstreit already disagrees with this.

  7. So... anyone want to take bets on whether or not the game on Sunday sets a new attendance record for Nebraska men's basketball? Do we eclipse the 16,000 mark? We had 15,978 the last game.

I don't care if there's only 2,000 fans there (ok, yes I do) but I better not hear about anyone that goes to the game and doesn't walk out afterwords with a normal speaking voice.
