Absolutely agree sarge. Peterson is the reason Boise St is so good right now. It baffles my mind when I think what Peterson could do at a bigger school. Peterson could very well be the next Urban Meyer.

When Cally was fired, Peterson was in my top 3 coaches. He seems like a great coach.

With that said, i dont see alot of playing time, but hope he does well.

I'm guessing he will get a pretty solid amount of play time to be honest. The offense is going young. He was pretty impressive in preseason action with the Pats. 2nd on the team in receiving only behind Moss.

Nunn was just signed by the Bucs off of the Pats practice squad. Very cool that we now have two active WRs on NFL rosters with Purify and Nunn. Hopefully ole Joshy Freeman can get the ball to Nunn.

Turned out to be a pretty good card after a couple of planned fights fell through. Griffin wins via decision over Ortiz in their rematch. Koscheck has a very impressive win over Anthony Johnson. Kos is the #1 contender in welterweight IMO. Nogueira's brother made his UFC debut also. Pretty good card if your a fight fan.

Becuase UFC is trashy any Liddell is a sketchball.

Whatever you say, but most sports fans enjoy the UFC. I personally love it. If Liddell is indeed a Husker fan, it's nothing to complain about.

It's still football season for one.

I think Houston would dominate him, mostly due to his Muay Thai clinch and ground and pound... Kimbo is clearly out of his element when someone closes in on him...

Kimbo doesn't seem to know what to do on the ground despite being a quick learner as they said on TUF 10. With all that muscle, you would think he could have some sort of ground game, but he hasn't shown it.

Well Dana White released the report of he may never fight again, but in the same day he said Brock may head home soon. It sounds serious, hope he has a good recovery and can continue to fight.

The heavyweight division is banged up right now...Brock out, Carwin with a foot injury if I heard right, Nogueira in the hospital with staph infection again.

I like Mangino. Not sure it is his time to go, but it will be hard for him to be successful starting over after losing Reesing, Meier, and Briscoe soon.

The title of the thread refers to Mo Purify, plain and simple. My point is why the heck should we care about a different Purify whether they are related or not? Especially one that ran all over us. I don't know why Husker fans should care about remembering a RB that did well against us, thats all I'm saying.

I am very excited for Kinnie. Went to the game yesterday and he is one big bodied receiver! Hope we continue to keep him in the mix.

All I know is I'm so freakin tired of all this talk(positive and negative) and speculation about Green. Some think he is going to be an all star and some think he is horrible for some reason. He is a true freshman people! Put the speculation to rest and let the guy alone if the coaches decide he should start. If he does good when he's in thats cool. If not, don't downgrade him, give up on him, and say he sucks or will never get it done. HE IS A TRUE FRESHMAN!!!

May be the wrong thread, but are we seriously comparing percentages and stats of Green and Lee as if it makes a difference??

A former Husker WR that is active on an NFL roster...sweet! It's probably been awhile.

The "victim" of the "eye gouging" thought it was just football and that Spikes should not have been suspended at all. I thought that was interesting...I would have agreed with you guys but that just makes me wonder.

Strange, but it was eye gouging no matter how you look at it and the players opinion shouldn't matter. Would he feel the same way had he suffered some damage to the eyes??

Half game suspension is a joke. Spikes is a dirty player and I hope NFL scouts see that about him.

At least he won't go down as the Chiefs all time leading rusher...

I don't necssarely dislike Chad Johnson(Ochocinco if you feel obligated to call him by that), but he is way too obsessed with twitter and stirring things up. It's like he can't live without being in the news, whether he is right or wrong or if it is a good or bad thing. He is an NFL player with a brain of a teenager. Well what do you know? Rogers went down like a sack of potatoes. Lets be honest, I mean is anyone really going to seriously even challenge Fedor if he fights for Strikeforce? I hear they are about to make a couple of big heavyweight signings. One is rumored to be Arlovski...try again Strikeforce! He's already been KO'd by Fedor before. Rogers was just another scrub for Fedor to take down. If he would just man up and sign with the UFC it would make things very interesting. You won't get a better deal than what the UFC can offer you. Plus it's the highest level of MMA. Fight in the UFC Fedor!

Definitely would be a stand up battle. Neither would take it to the ground. Houston looks to be fighting at the TUF finale because he applied for a license and it was granted to fight that night in Vegas. Hope it does happen. Really like both of these guys. Not sure who I will root for. Probably go with Houston because he is such a big Husker fan.

I feel the same way about the fight. Looking for both guys to succeed and it sucks they have to fight each other to take a step further in the sport. It will be fun to watch anyhow.

KU is on a big losing streak. Walk around outside the stadium and scalp. They shouldn't be expensive at all.
