Man what a great day! Not only are my Huskers landing some damn fine Husker recruits but I got the call to join our local High School coaching staff. After 12 years in the youth leagues I finally am moving up to the High School ranks. Oh the school that I am going to be helping coach at also won the Maryland state title this year and was a runner up 2 years ago. I feel like a kid on Christmas day. We are a small school who year in and year out goes up against the bigger schools in Maryland.

MAN! It's so nice to get that playoff loss monkey off our backs! The defense looked great and WOW....Davis taking the opening game kickoff to the house for a TD really set the tone for the entire game. Yes I know the Texans suck but it was sure nice to see a playoff win. Now off to either Denver or New England next week.

I am very impressed with how this team never hit the panic button when falling behind on the score board (all year for that matter). Yesterday's game displayed that to a nationally televised audience. When the Bruins jumped on the Huskers 21-7 early in the 2nd quarter, I literally said to my boys, "we are going to bounce back". As a fan, I cannot remember the last time I said that (or believed it when someone else stated it). Although our coaching staff needs to fix some things, the team takes on their "we don't panic" approach. I don't know about you all, but this is refreshing to see.

Anyways, great ending to a VERY trying season.....

Frost is going to coach at UCF for a few years. Riley will retire from Nebraska, the Huskers will go hard after Frost, but in a cruel twist of fate & history repeating itself, Scott Frost will take the head coaching position at Stanford.

So......we fire a head coach after 1 year of being here? No one but perhaps a high school coach would consider coming here after that!

Who do we think was blaring the horn?

My theory is it was Carl's gal pal. To me, she seems like she is going to be linked to the Wolves. The Wolves are a group who don't kill walkers, they rangle them up and make more by killing others.

 

Her being linked to them would give her reason to not want the group to kill any walkers. Also, it would be the distraction the Wolves need to invade Alexandria. She is a spy for the most part and meets with them outside the walls during her nature walks.

 

 

And just from a pure selfish reason, I want a coach who knows and can teach/coach an overpowering running game (at least a 80/20 or higher run-pass ratio) because i like the BEAUTY of a running game attack I find more joy in a 5 yard fullback trap or an inside ISO play than I do any kind of pass play. Passing, to me, just represents WUSSY football pure and simple. You aren't dominating anyone with a passing attack. You aren't imposing your will with a passing game. You're playing monkey in the middle, throwing it over the defenders' head instead of RAMMING it down their throats with a running game.

Why did we spend a couple of million on Riley? Let's put down 10 million on a coach and bring this f'ing thing back to Lincoln. Michigan did it and we should too. For the last 15 years I've watched mediocrity and now I'm saying Roll Tide!!!
