  1. work in retail sales so getting time off during christmas is just not an option, ill be stuck working that day so i plan on pvr the game and hopefully watching it after work without finding out how we did
  2. Couldn't agree more, when a team rotates qb's to me it doesn't show trust and won't be consistent. Take LSU this year they implemented it to some success but that was overshadowed when they played defenses who got accustomed to it. I would only like to see 2 qb on the field at a time if we run faster wildcat for example putting Rex, Taylor, and Carnes or another fast type of dual threat. IMO that would be way to fast to follow especially for the Big 10 defenses who rely on size. Then run some power football and some power wildcat with Rex and some other bruisers for short down situations. Defenses won't be able to wrap their minds around it. And now I'm done with my rant. is your avatar giving the shocker!?!
  3. how about the shot he gave jay cutler on sunday i am still laughing today !
  4. maybe the better question i should of asked is if we put taylor on a pitch count?? u know limit his hits he takes during the game.
  5. how would you guys feel about a 2 QB rotation next year with Taylor and Brion?? Might this be the best way to keep tmagic healthy for an entire season? sort of like a running back by committee?? Have special packages designed for each guy...of course this is assuming brion can come in and handle the offense right away
  6. You are missing the point entirely --- or, I am not articulating the point well --- or a combination of the two. I am making no statement whatsoever of who is better or who is not. No excuses of any sort are being made. There is nothing to own up to. A loss is a loss -- it happens. The point is simple... NU is inordinately prone to beating themselves by making unforced errors (sometimes getting away with it against lesser opponents --- other times not against better opponents). The number of unforced errors NU makes exceeds, by a wide margin, that of the typical team. Watch other games... rarely, if ever, do you see a team drop so many uncontested passes, fumble so often, repeatedly get so many procedure penalties, etc. Our biggest enemy seems to be ourselves. More so than is usual. Much more so. None of these are excuses for losing ... they are reasons for losing. One poster correctly pointed out that we are "not a championship caliber team." Agreed. I only add that it is not because we do not have "championship caliber" talent or potential --- we probably do --- it is rather because we are not, in the general sense, taking care of what can be controlled well --- basically we are too error prone. I return the questions. Why are we so error prone and how can it be fixed? gotcha and i do agree championship teams take better care of the football but maybe the coaching staff should of been proactive and sat taylor down for cody when it was apparent he was rattled turning the ball over. also the play calling has been very weird at times rex was running the wild cat well and we could of limited some of these turn overs by simply pounding the rock instead of dropping back and passing.
  7. threads like this make us look like a whiny fan base, own up fact is we lost whether or not were the better team at the end of the day means f all, fact is we lost now lets move forward beat Washington and go into the 2011 season in the Big 10 with a chip on our shoulder
  8. nice job on our defense to limit them to the FG, now we need our offense to sustain a drive and give them some rest
