  1. Maybe Ganz stats weren't as good as kellers, but I like to look at point productions. Today we scored 39. 31 points being meaninful while the last td was to keep the score looking better. The previous 4 weeks we have scored 6, 14, 14, & 25. The O was in a rut. They scored 31 pts on a top 10 D. While scoring low amounts against mediocre or poor D's.

  2. My biggest embarrassment is the COMPLETE collapse of the team THIS year after such a promising ending last year and such a good spring and fall.

I was vacationing in Utah and someone asked me about betting on NU this year. I said, "don't sell them short and always bet that they will beat the spead". BOY WAS I WRONG! :o

I just want to know where people think we had a good spring or fall. Is it because our starters beat the third stringers? Is it because the media continued to over-hype this team: 4 senior linebackers, a qb that put up nearly 400 yards on USC 2 years ago. Or is it because BC's initials should be BS, because that's what he is full of. It just seems that there have always been lies from him. I do wonder what he is telling the recruits we keep getting. "Come here and you'll make the NFL." BC seems to have the gift of the gab, but not the gift on the field.

  3. maybe? maybe, you could give them away??.....probably not..........

That's pretty much what I had to do w/ my A&M tickets.

What a great financial decision on my part to purchase a few xtra tixs to sell this year. I'd like to thank BC and SP for taking food away from my child.

Maybe a CU fan would want them. GO to their board and ask them

Thinking about it. As much as I hate to get more fans of the opposing team in the stadium, when it comes to a couple of hundred bucks, it might be worth it.

  4. I was hoping that we could hold them under 70. This team did not need the distinction of having the most points ever scored against them. As the game wound down, I realized that maybe this is what we may have needed to hit rock bottom and now we need to rebuild from the bottom up.

It was not pretty and i feel bad for the team and young fans out there. It will get better because it cannot get worse.

    GBR

It can get worse and it has gotten worse over the last 5 weeks. Anything is possible w/ this staff.

I thought OSU putting up 35 or 42 or what ever they did in the first half was bad, KU did that, then proceeded to put up impressive numbers in the second half. It will only not get any worse if these clowns are fired soon, or after the season they are canned. Until then, anything is possible.

Seriously??? If your intent was to sell them to earn extra money, then you should know in business that every move has inherent risk. You could have sunk that money into the stock market or taken it down to the local casino. Any way you slice it, your business investment was a high-risk high-reward situation, and you just lost your bet. Regardless, your kids should blame YOU if there isn't food on the table, and you should chalk it up to a bad business decision on YOUR part.

It irks me when people who want to scalp and jack up prices for tickets so they can make a quick buck off of the REAL fans, yet when they themselves get screwed they can't handle it, and try to find a way to get their money back.

If you really just want your money's worth out of the tickets, I'm sure you can sell them for face value - there's numerous outlets to advertise them (craigslist, etc). If you bought them for your own enjoyment, then I'm sure you'll get 2 hours of football with one of the teams coming away with a win. If you were in it to make a profit, then sorry buddy, maybe you should find a different profession.

Actually it is the first year I have bought extra tickets. I figured I'd get a couple extra and see who wanted to go with me. But thanks for the lecture :asshat .

Good thing I am close to Boulder though and know many CU fans. Hopefully they will have 5 wins going into the game and this game will be their make or break game to go bowling. Then I can catch some of their bandwagon fans.

So If I am unable to return them to the ticket office I will have 4 xtra tix. Face value, $60 in the NU section. PM me if interested.

  7. Anyone ever returned tickets successfully and received their money back? I've got 6 tickets for the CU game and don't want to go unless there is a coaching change before then. I haven't received my tickets yet, so I was thinking about calling the ticket office and telling them to cancel my order and credit my card.

  8. Yowza, again.

. As Zac states, "if we could have a freshman quarterback in here, the offense would REALLY take off." If there's one thing we have seen...BC has decided this will not happen.

What he said was wait until we have QB's who have come through the program from their freshman year, not to put in a freshman QB.

BC has had 4 years and he still hasn't been able to do that. He keeps going out there and getting band-aids to cover up the problem and not fix it.

Ganz could be the closest thing BC has had to mentoring and developing a qb, and he will be a 1 year starter at best. Oh and I guess there is Beau Davis. Maybe we could give BC another 4 years to see what he can do with Witt.

He had one named Harrison Beck.

    Exactly.

I didn't notice him on the roster this season though???

  10. The reason we lost, the only reason we lost, was that our defense gave out in the 4th quarter. We can talk O all day long, we had the points, that wasn't the problem. The root cause was a give out in the fourth. we were 17-9 in the forth, and gave up THAT many points.

I think part of the reason the D gave up that many points was that they were on the field quite a bit the second half. The O had a couple of three and outs, then a quick first down and three more plays and punt. In a game like this where you know your D isn't very good the O has to help them out and put points up and keep the clock moving.

  11. we were competing at least. That's more than we could say during the last 3 weeks.

We played hard, with emotion. I saw emotion, I saw hard hits...I saw emotion finally.

Exactly, At least we are competeing again....

    The talent is there!!!!!!!!!!!!

The coaching just has to change, I have faith that with a coaching change this team has the talent to get back on top ASAP and no rebuilding will be nessecary.

At least the game was exciting to watch, and wasn't over at halftime. We actually had life, and it had me pacing around during the end hoping something good would happen. We almost had a chance to pull it off if it wasnt' for Charles' run where he reversed his field after we had him corralled. That was a great run, the D went all out and had no one on the back side persuit. It was a little bit like the famous Rozier run back in the day.

  12. If BC insists on calling plays for a half, maybe we can have him call plays the first half, hope we hang close then have Watson call them the second half so we can comeback and win.

The first half was good, but the stall about midway through the third qtr until about 3 minutes left is really what lost us the game. Even a couple of drives to eat away the clock would have been better.

  13. Who the hell pissed in our wheaties. We look pissed off. BC showed some damn emotion when we got screwed on the replay. Lucky is running hard. Helu looks good. The D is blitzing and flying around hitting people. This is the team I expected at the beginning of the year.

They do need to go away from that damn screen pass and quick swing pass to the I back. It's gonna get picked or someone is going to get decapitated.

  14. Dailey is a senior whose qb-skills are more-suited to run-based attack. The move to wr made sense in that context. This will be a tranisition year for NC anyway, might as well let your future starter learn the ropes.

Dailey was the starter at the end of last season for NC, he did get his job back.

Part of Dailey's undoing is that he was recruited to be a dual-threat guy that ran as much as he threw. He never got to do that for BC or at NC.

Another big part is that every year Dailey played qb he had to learn a new offensive system, that takes significant time that could have been spent working-on his bad habits. I think if Gill had Dailey playing in a system he was suited for and in the same system throughout his tenure the kid would've became a solid qb.

He was'nt much of a run threat when he played here. To many times he ended up running out of bound when he could have gotten the first down.

I wonder if that was part of BC's doings. I don't think he likes his qb's to run (unless its 3rd and 2 inside the 10 and you are playing A&M, but that's a different story). His NFL mentality sticks and he wants to protect his qb as much as possible, teaching them to throw the ball away, instead of tucking it and running.

  15. Dailey got ran out on a rail by BC. No, he wasn't a good qb, but anyone that was starter one year and demoted to 4th string the next is being told to get out of town. BC didn't want a solich recruit running his WCO. BC wanted to get HIS guy in there. Along came Zac Taylor to take the reigns for a year or two while BC molds his heralded qb Harrison Beck. Well, Beck bolted, ZT did a good job the next year, and is replaced by another short term guy, SK.

  16. Pretty much meaningless when we have a losing record. Last time I checked it is a team game. Plus the reason he is getting these records is because out of the 300 page play book these guys have to memorize, they only know about 4 of the pages, and half of those plays are screens and dump passes. Lucky isn't a game breaker. Castille and Helu could do the same thing if given the bulk of the snaps.

Didn't people say the samething about Glenn last year that he could do what Lucky is doing if he was just given the chance. Where is he at these days? :madash I heard running on the Scout team. Castille needs to hang on to the ball and what exactly has Helu shown that proves he could do what Lucky has? Once again the guy gets no credit from some folks. I'm sure that Lucky going into the flats or over the middle is the same play. I'm sure he doesn't do that on multiple plays. It's xbox just keep calling the same plays.

So unless the team is winning stats mean nothing? Troy Davis back to back 2000 season don't mean crap because those teams sucked. Most of Barry Sanders and Walter Payton's pro stats are meaningless because their teams were terrible most of the time. <_<

As of this week WE don't have a losing record it is 4-4 and to use the logic of the "Talking heads" after the 02 season that is not a losing season. :sarcasm

Helu by far was the fastest back out there. He was able to turn the corner and gain good yardage. There were many times when Lucky caught a dumpdown pass that there were receivers open downfield. Swift and Hill were open on a couple of different occasions. Don't know why SK isn't throwing them the ball. It was good to see the young kids finally get the ball. Lucky avg 2.9 ypc while Castille had nearly 7 ypc and Helu had nearly 8 ypc.

it is because he doesnt have the time to wait for them to get open. by the time he makes his first and second read the d-line is on him and he has to drop the pass off........or that was the play call in the first place and Lucky was the first read

Oh don't give me that no time BS. SK had plenty of time against A&M. I was at the game. A good pocket was formed and he had 5, 6, or 7 seconds to throw the ball. He would look to one side of the field, lock in on a receiver, then check down to Lucky. Trust me, I wasn't the only fan in the stands that noticed this. Keller was only sacked twice in the game, and I believe both of them came in the second half.

and since you were at the game, are you telling me that SK had 5-7 seconds to throw the ball every time he dropped back to pass? he was only sacked 2 times but how many times did he get rushed, hit after he threw the ball, ect

I read the whole post, now you go and read previous post.

Did SK have 5-7 seconds to throw the ball in every one of his 44 pass attempts, probably not. Did he have ample time to throw the ball to other receivers in many of the 17 or so pass attempts to ML. Yes. The A&M fans were joking after they got the first sack of the day, "Our first sack of the year." I highly doubt that is true, and not going to take the time to look it up, but that says to me that even they know they have a

    sh!tty DL and pass rush.
