Carnes academic situation is not an issue for the coaches, at all. Reason being we had Fajardo lined up and ready to commit the second an offer was made. And yes, Watson would have given his left testicle to get Fajardo as he was in love with the kid. But we called off that visit due to conversations we had with Carnes. If Carnes goes elsewhere, it is solely because he wanted to go there. But I'm pretty sure he will be pushed rather hard the next few days, so we'll see what happens. But if we lose Carnes, it's simply because he wanted to go there and the WKU coaches knew exactly how to work him. Nothing else. Well if that's true we now know where the split was and I wouldn't blame Carnes for not choosing to come to Nebraska when the Head Offensive cordinator is voteing for another recruit. Though the rumor was Godfrey not Fajardo so that would make Carnes, Watsons third choice if any of this is true. even if it were true that carnes wasn't watson's first choice of the remaining targets (and that's a mighty big if), how on earth would carnes know? in any case, it's pretty clear that carnes is the one we wanted most, and i would be awfully surprised if bo overruled watson on which one to go after. Well if Willie is to be believed that is what he is stating happened. He is going to WKU. No one should be surprised now.

I'd get my money back. If you want recruiting info that isn't subject to change, don't tune in until after signing day. The paid sites provide a service, and report the most current information. I've followed recruiting long enough to know it's never a done deal until the LOI is signed. Don't blame the pay sites simply because the situation changes and kids can and do change their minds.

They don't list anyone as a commit at rivals until they get confirmation from the player, a family member, or a coach.

There are several people on HI saying the article is bogus and are 100% certain Carnes will be N on Wednesday. Guess we'll have to wait and see. That just goes to show ya that the so called "insiders" on HI really have no clue what they are saying. That is the main reason why I didn't renew my membership this year. It has nothing to do with HI insiders having no clue. I am a long time Scout member and see the same thing. By that logic, you're saying the Husker coaches have no clue either. (They thought Carnes would be a Husker). It has more to do with the UNCERTAINTY of recruiting. These are 17 and 18 year old kids, and they change their minds, often. Either get used to it, or don't follow recruiting until signing day.

From what I've heard, it's not false. Carnes apparently called Watson and told him.

It wasn't his choice, I believe our coaches prompted that...they felt good about Carnes. Oh well..we'll take 2 in next years class.

Thought the same thing a handful of years ago when Mike Jenkins had it come down to us and South Florida. They were just beginning to be recognized as an up and coming team. I thought if this guy is serious at all about football, he'll be N. Now he's a pro bowl db. Reports coming out that Carnes committed to Western Kentucky. Not good news for Husker fans.

What did they find out about his knee/rehab? It was my understanding they were investigating his injury situation and what they found out would determine whether we reoffered or not. I haven't heard anything regarding his injury situation. If he didn't clear I still think that the staff is either 1. confident they are going to get the big 3. or 2. Have someone ready to sign as a backup if one of the big 3 flakes (my guess is it would be cooper if anyone). Owa's not in the bag either...as expected, Mama is pushing for the school close to home.

I read on the Big Red Report(facebook) that yoshi made a comment after Munson stated that David took at trip to USF. Right after that comment was posted, Yoshi said, he is coming. Yoshi was not happy with David taking that trip. I have a thoery on why he went. Chasing some tail????? Free trip in my opinion. There is plenty of reason to worry here. Bo is mad about the trip, and word is David is 50/50 on NU USF. Good chance David is not in this class. I see this is your 2nd post. When verbal commits take other visits (especially without telling the coaches ahead of time)...there is always reason to be concerned. We agree with that statement about verbal commits. Understand why we asked you to elaborate though. Think about it from our perspective: you had two posts on this board before, you tell us something like that about one of our highly recruited guys, etc. We had no other reason to believe that you werent just another person dropping by to make waves on this board like all the others.
