Since you missed/ignored it the first time

That is the equivalent of hospitals around the country requiring the covid vaccine. These people work for the govt. its their employer. They can quit and find new work. Nobody is going to hold them down.

You'll celebrate when the government is allowed to force what choices you have concerning your body and health?

Doesnt have to be govt. schools/work mandating it would be just fine with me. Just like they do now with MMR, varicella, hep B, tdap, polio, etc.

Uh huh, and those thst don't?  That would be what?  That's right, MANDATORY!  As explained above.  And at this rate, do you honestly think it won't be a full scale MANDATORY at some point?

I look forward to that day. It will be a great day in history. Just like when the polio vaccine was made mandatory. And now polio is no longer an issue.

Why would I answer a question we both know the answer to already?  It is being made mandatory, take it or lose your job.  Enforce it, or be fined thousands of dollars.

Or are we pretending mandatory doesn't mean mandatory?

You can take the vaccine OR OR OR be tested weekly. That is not mandatory when yoi have the option to be tested also.

Actually I wasn’t implying they are right wingers, but I see your point. I just assume that Texas And Florida don’t have vaccine mandate...probably many other states too, but those two are in the news.

Youre wrong. The way things are going, by Christmas my guess is 90%+ of US Hospitals will have covid vaccine requirements. Not a day goes by that I dont get hundreds of emails from hospitals that changed their compliance requirements to require covid vaccine.

I guess they have to move to Florida or Texas. I heard those states need more health care workers.

A hospital in upstate New York will put baby deliveries on hold after too many workers in its maternity unit resigned over the COVID19 vaccine mandate, according to local reports.

Lewis County General Hospital will be forced to temporarily stop all baby deliveries after Sept. 24 due to the staff's refusal to get vaccinated, WWNY-TV reported.

So far, six employees in the hospital’s maternity ward have chosen to resign instead of getting the vaccine, while another seven are undecided, Lewis County Health System Chief Executive Officer Gerald Cayer said during a news conference on Friday, according to the station.

"If we can pause the service and now focus on recruiting nurses who are vaccinated, we will be able to reengage in delivering babies here in Lewis County," Cayer said.

Since the vaccine was mandated for health care workers on Aug. 23, Cayer said that 30 workers have resigned, 20 of whom held clinical roles like nurses, therapists and technicians, the Watertown Daily Times reported.

I manage the compliance unit for a healthcare staffing firm and TX and FL hospitals, as well as every other state in the US, have covid vaccine requirements also. There are very few that dont at this point.

Harris said she wouldn't get a vaccine Trump told her to. The FDA obviously didn't get strong armed by Trump or anyone else.

Covid is not deadly to everyone. Vast majorities of people get it and don't die. If you are elderly and obese you run a higher risk, for sure.

I have no informed information on therapeutic remedies, but do know that the tune has certainly changed on remdesivr and HCQ since 2020.

Vaccine skeptics indicated that approval would help, but as I stated elsewhere...we are probably at stasis right now regarding who will (willingly) get the jab. And it's certainly not just Rs that are not doing so.

Vaccines may or may not slow transmission. You can still contract, carry, and pass the virus after being vaccinated. It may keep you out of the hospital, but there are lots of folks in the ER who have got the jab.

Why are you so hostile to anyone that voices these truths?

Someone posted something not too long ago that vaccine cards are being forged, so how do we determine the vaccinated people in the ER/ICU from the ones that “claim” they got the vaccine? We cant. We can only go off what pretty much every hospital is telling us, that 90-95% of the people in the ICUs are unvaccinated. So is that other 5-10% people who forged their card and got into the system or are they actually vaccinated people? Either way, the data is overwhelmingly in favor of the vaccinated vs. unvaccinated. So chamrocks drivel of the vaccine not being effective is as wrong as you can get.

Thank you for being sensible. I feel much the same way.

It’s completely shameful that this thing got politicized by design. When Trump’s administration was working towards the vaccine it was hell no we don’t trust this and we will not submit from VP Harris and more. I’m glad the vaccines came out but why now can’t they be questioned and let people decide based on their personal situation. Let science happen. We now know Covid is not deadly to certain segments of the population, those that had it have a strong natural immunity, and there are other therapeutics to help prevent and treat it. Yet we have conflicting mis-information from Biden’s administration and a mandate that you must get injected with an experimental vaccine that studies show is not even as effective at stopping transmission as initially hoped. Further any discussion about legitimate adverse reactions or questions on the vaccine or other remedies are often censored. WTF? Just a few months ago these same people said don’t trust Trump’s vaccine? I thought Trump was the tyrant? If so why is Biden the one forcing experimental injections on people (which have harmed some people) and also threatening their jobs and businesses to comply. It was Biden who said we’ll come knock on your door!  Who’s the tyrant?  Say it loudly…F Joe Biden.

Every piece of empirical data shows this vaccine is working the way it should. Very minimal hospitalizations. Even less deaths. If there is a breakthrough case, it is mild. It is no longer experimental, the data overwhelming. The unvaccinated on the other hand are having a hell of a time with delta. Good luck to them I guess bad choices have consequences. Ill be part of the “experiment” and stay out of the hospital if I happen to get it.

Yes.  As an employer, I'm trying to figure out everything we would need to do. Are we required to have testing available?  What kind of records do we need to keep?  How do we handle it if employees refuse to get the vaccine or get tested?

If this goes through, there are still a lot of unanswered questions.

Fire their a$$. Obviously they dont care about you and your business because they are willing to risk another shutdown which would affect your business.

If people like you were in charge we’d still have small pox, measles, mumps, rubella, tetanus, diptheria, pertussis, polio, etc. THANK GOD people like you arent in charge. Thank you science for saving us from people like admo who dont give a damn what diseases are floating around.

I could. Now that I'm on Medicare (age 65:o) I have found that it is better than my work Aetna plan - I have a Medicare Advantage Plan (AARP United Heath Care) PPO.  We like it.

But its govt run healthcare. Private insurance HAS to be better, right?

I’m not understanding your first question

More just piggy backing off your conversation with Devo. You said people are playing with fire in a response to kid rock canceling shows due to covid, he said they are vaccinated, you said thats unfortunate, he said why, you said its unfortuante that vaccinated people are hospitalized or dying and I asked who in kid rock is hospitalized or dead due to covid? If its nobody, then the vaccine did its job.

    • Oh Yeah! 1

    It is unfortunate that

    1.  Anyone dies of covid

    2. That one who has been vaccinated (and therefore thought to be safe) dies from covid.

Who in kid rock died or was even hospitalized due to covid? If nobody, then the vaccine did its job. The vaccine isnt there to prevent covid, its there to make sure the symptoms arent severe.
