Kid would be such a solid de or OLB but doesn’t want to budge. Want to only play offense. Miami is saying he was recruited over due to this.

In awe at the size of this lad. Absolute unit.

Not in his top 5

He is in my top 5 of Frost's recruits at Nebraska with the most potential.

Frost and Ruud are hosting him on a virtual tour today. Projects as inside LB but can play OLB as well.

I agree with you, i'm majorly disappointed so far. He largely swung and missed last class. He identified Cali/West Coast targets and put in a lot of effort without signing a single one.
Thank goodness we had Nash on board and Beckon's Georgia connections for the two HS kids we signed. Because otherwise we were scrambling to plug holes with JUCOs come late fall.
Yup. Tuioti’s recruiting is non existent at this point. Had high hopes for his west coast connections but it ain’t panning out.

I saw he received a CB so I checked out his profile and passed the info along.
And thank you for that. My post was to quell the " we lost a recruit to Toledo" comments.

Announcing Sunday. One CB today to Toledo. 247 has Nebraska, Illinois, and Toledo as “warm”.
Not a take for us

I don't care how many seats they add or take away. Just update the damn bathrooms.

So we lost out on a 3 star player, let's get concerned when we lose a 5 star.

This guy’s film and offer list is better than several of the 4-stars currently on our roster. I think he has incredible potential in our scheme.
Yeah he should be our #1 DL on the board. Kid is a monster.

There was also a comment on coaching consistency somewhere I can't find now. I don't necessarily disagree with him at all, but he is just highlighting why we are striking out on recruits in many instances and we need to win to change the narrative. I was just highlighting that if a legacy instate recruit feels that way than recruits with no ties likely do too. It's an uphill recruiting battle we've been winning, but how much longer can we?
You also have to realize in-state kids here a lot more of the bad news than kids from other states do. Nebraska football is the biggest thing in Nebraska, that is a fact. So imagine how much you would hear about the state of the program being a top in-state kid with ties to said program. I can see why kids want to go somewhere else in-state until we can actually win. We win the games that we choked and I can guarantee Johnson's narrative is different. The program is on a losing plateau, it needs to change this next season or we are going to not have a chance with a couple 2022 in-state kids who are program changers at their position.

I'm more concerned about the comments he made about Nebraska than I am about the fact that he didn't choose us. It sucks losing a legacy, home state, 3* player for sure. However, the stuff he said about Nebraska is in the minds of a lot of kids that we miss on.
I mean all those concerns go away if Frost doesn't lose to teams we should beat. We left 3 games on the field last year due to bad coaching. 4 if you count choking against Iowa. We win those games like we should and we are sitting real pretty with recruits, not just local, this year. It is going to be a tough recruiting climb this year because they have to have a winning season in order to keep these recruiting classes up. 5-7 like I predict is going to to make it real ugly for recruiting. Specifically with the talent in state for 2022.

It's commentary on how, on almost every one of these threads (the local kids in particular) where a kid doesn't commit, we have a few recruiting geniuses that come in here espousing about how he either A. wasn't very good, or B. we didn't really want him. It's a tired and worn out trope that rears it's ugly head almost every time it happens, and it deserves to be called out.
I am tired of that as well. I am also tired of the guy who posts "Here comes the he wasn't good enough crowd" just so they can feel superior when someone does it. Just my two cents.

Nebraska football hasn't been as enjoyable since we left the Big 12. Not cause we sucked, cause we sucked in the Big 12 for a bit as well. I personally don't care about any "rival" or conference opponent in the Big 10. We just feel out of place.
