So what happened to having this thread beating Owa's?
Its july. On July 5th, 2009, Owa's thread was on post #23.
Yeah, but Owa also waited til Signing Day to decide. If AG commits in the next couple of weeks, we're gonna need a lot of filler to beat Owa's thread.

Osborne looks a little like Andy Griffith.

I can't paste the article because it is ESPN Insider, but Green has narrowed his list down to his top 4 schools (as of 6/25), in no particular order.
They are:
1.
2. Texass
3. Cal
4. FSU
I don't know that much about (FSU) but they are showing me lots of love. Texas, they always win and have strong tradition. Nebraska, I really like the staff and I think they are an up and coming school. Cal I like the offense they run there.I don't think that is anything new, but it is a new article on ESPN from NoleInsider.com
In the ESPN article, Aaron says that he isn't in any rush to commit and he isn't going to give in to any schools pressuring him to commit early. Looks like Texas' ultimatums aren't going to work on him.

Since we are leaving the Big 12 in one year, we have to give back 90% of our Big 12 revenue. If we weren't leaving till the 2012 season, then we would only have to give back 50% of our revenue for the two years.

I was just wondering if Notre Dame was a member of the AAU. If they don't get invited soon, they might be left out of the Big 10.

sorry, i'm pulling for a nebraska/penn state rivalry.
why? try the shattered dreams of an eleven-year-old boy...
i want to stab someone after i see that clip.
Agreed this is definitely the best possible rival.
We can't have OSU as our top rival because the have Michigan, and vice versa
Iowa hasn't really had any success aainst us, so it'd b kinda like the Colorado thing all over again, except Iowa doesn't even have one title
Penn State has a history with us, a similar level prestige as us, and really no main top rival
Don't know for sure, but 1958 Iowa shared the national title or some such thing. One poster seemed pretty proud of it.
They finished second in both the AP and Coaches' Polls. They were, however, named the national champs by the Football Writers Association. But when people talk about national champions before the BCS, they refer to the AP and Coaches'Polls, so in 1958, LSU was the national champion. But Iowa likes to say that they won a national title. but we all know they didn't.

According to his offer list on scout, Cal, FSU, Neb, and Texas are all listed as high interest, so I'm assuming those are the final four.

The Big 12 needs to burn in hell where it belongs.

What everyone else said, and also:
Nebraska fans will generally either say "MAN OUR CROWD IS ALWAYS SO LOUD!" or "Our crowd is pretty pathetic, we need to be so much louder", both on the count of Nebraska arrogance. The fact of the matter is, we are a pretty mediocre or average sounding 85k crowd during games against mediocre or average opponents. Bring us a huge game, however, and the place will start rocking as good as just about any other in the country.
I was just about to say when the Buckeyes visit, it will be rocking. Similar to Oklahoma last year, and Texas this year right guys? You haven't forgotten have you?

The only problem is now we can't automatically blame Texas for every misfortune.
Says who?
True
-
All the Pac-10 teams will eventually get sick and tired of the Texas bull crap we got fed up with.

^ I would be 100% happy with a 12 team Big 12
maybe they will call it the Big 11 now.
Big 11+1
I think the Big 1 + Little 11 would be a better

Hello Husker fans.
The best place for Husky news and discussion is actually the Seattle Times UW Football Blog. Here it is. Our resident reporter does an excellent job collecting links and relaying story lines and there is a forum there as well.
It's slowing down a bit since Spring ball is over, but it's never too early to talk college football, right? I can honestly say Nebraska is my favorite opponent. My family always has a reunion when the Dawgs and the Huskers meet up and this year is no exception. It's been long enough that I've rid myself of the taste of that 55-7 debacle the last time we met.
I think both our programs are on the rise, although you guys weren't driven into the dirt quite like we were. Still, it will be fun to see how we stack up. For me, it will feel a little like our 2000 home game against Miami. Both teams were thought to be pretty good but it was definitely a statement maker for the victor. Fortunately, the Huskies brought the house in the first half and held on for the win.
I'd like to know a little about this Nebraska team and how you guys feel about your chances this year, so I'll check in from time to time.
Bow Down To Washington!
Hey welcome to the board. This is how I see the game going down. In the two previous series, the visiting team wins the first game of the series and goes on to win the national champoinship. In 1991 you guys came into Lincoln and beat us and went on to win the national title that year. Then in 1997 we went to Seattle and beat you guys and then we went on to win it all. So sorry, the odds play into our hands. This being the first game of the series, the visiting team, Nebraska, will win the game and we'll also go on to win the MNC.

Hopefully you can create stadium sounds again and be able to play "Sirius" during the Tunnel Walk.

If this ends up being bull sh#t am I officially off the hook for the Owa situation?
No you aren't off the hook until you correctly predict a 5 star committing.
I'm just kidding. You know we all love ya.

You know what the funny thing is? He was a criminal justice major.
And prisoners' favorite TV show is 'Cops'. What's your point?
Prisoners watch "Cops" so they can learn what they shouldn't do so they don't get caught. Being a criminal justince major you would think that he knows the laws what the consequences are. Then again, we are talking about the player which the only play he knew was to run straight.

I agree that it still has a chance, it's just that there won't be as much drama since signing day is so far away. As signing day approaches, it might heat up a little just for the fact that he might sign elsewhere, but if we have a good season, I don't think we will have to worry too much.
