  1. I found a deal on stubhub for what sounds like pretty decent seats. However if I wanted to pay under 30 dollars for the seats, I had to buy 4 (I'm going with 2 other folks). Consequently there's now an open seat with our group which includes 2 husker fans and one michigan fan who's engaged to a husker fan. I bought the tickets for 18 a piece plus shipping and handling. Hoping to recoup my cost and get more huskers in the stadium.

Similar tickets were going for ~35 a piece on stubhub as of 10/30/12

  2. Ya f#*k him.

This type comment is not okay. If this were my son, I would take a great deal of offense to it. Comment on the situation, not the person. Recruits read these pages.

I am going to ban your account for 7 days.

Spread the word, wiseguy comments need to and are going to come to a stop.

Am I the only one that finds this quote ironic in light of the fact that the thread title contains "the person's" name? How does one not comment about a person when said person is the topic of the thread?

Easy, F**K this situation. Not F**K this player. It sucks that he decommited, but it sounded mutual.

  3. I doubt the same thing is going to happen against Michigan. Miller > Dennard OSU's D > Michigans D by far. Whole new ball game. Personally, I think this season is playing out about how we should have suspected it would. We have a good (error prone) offense and a D with no real play makers. As for the recruits, there's a few ways I think they fall. Those that like the program and the culture and see that they can step in and help the team, or those that want to join a team that always wins and want to be a part of a system. It doesn't hurt to have players see that they could be stars on a team. At least that's what I think.

  4. RANCHO SANTA MARGARITA – There was a new operator behind the light-blue passing machine that fired footballs at Santa Margarita receivers after practice Tuesday.

Instead of an assistant coach at the controls it was Johnny Stanton, the Eagles' injured quarterback known for his ability to spin pinpoint passes.

Stanton's newly acquired crutches were nearby as he placed footballs into the device and barked "Go!" to teammates running routes.

The senior is used to directing Santa Margarita's football engine on the field, but he has quickly found new ways to contribute. He also is helping to coach the quarterbacks, including his potential replacement, Josh Canty.

"I want to be as involved as I can," Stanton said. "We haven't lost any hope in the season. We still think that we can win the Trinity League. We still think we can win the CIF championship."

For the past five weeks, Stanton led top-ranked Santa Margarita with the bravado that made him arguably Orange County's best-known high school athlete. He was a reigning CIF champion delivering a rousing encore for a team ranked No. 1 in the nation by ESPN.

    So excited about this kid.

  5. I chose to highlight this particular stat because it's the one Pelini harped on a couple years ago in an interview. If you exclude the Callahan era altogether, you'll notice a roughly 3 point increment from Devaney to Osborne to Solich to Pelini.

These are just pure numbers. No agenda on my part. I'm not interested in debating the differences between each era. However, I'd be remiss not to acknowledge how much the game has evolved since 1962. Interpret away as you wish.

You should also post average point scored by teams that played us that year. As well as the NCAA scoring average. Here's a relevant book if you need to play with this more. http://www.amazon.com/How-Lie-Statistics-Darrell-Huff/dp/0393310728

  6. My honest to god thoughts are this. First, UCLA has a damn good offense. Second, the B1G looks bad this year. Third, the problem's we're seeing are fixable (tackling, sticking to the run). The offense when clicking looks great, the D came up with some big stops (once in a while). It could be worse, and I'm optimistic about the rest of the season.

  7. Taylor's foot placement still needs work but, his accuracy and pocket presence have improved dramatically. Great game Taylor.

It's hard to break old habits, I think as he gets more reps in in practice he'll get better and better at not dropping into bad habits.

  8. Figure I'll post something related to TM. http://www.voodoofiv...sferring-to-usf

A journalist who is reporting a transfer to USF.

The article is based on Coley's tweet, which he basically said is his opinion and not something he was reporting.

Good catch. I don't follow twitter at all, just saw that posted on reddit and figured I'd pass it forward.

For those wondering the tweets that follow are as follows:

"Folks, I didn't intend to state so emphatically that Tyler Moore is transferring to USF. I don't know if he is. Was having a convo with someone with some knowledge, and we were joshing about how college girlfriends always win out. Hence, the tweet. Had I known someone might write that I was reporting rather than tweeting, I would have been more clear. A fine line, I stepped on it. I will be more clear about when I am reporting and just tweeting."
