A fun read from up in cheese, porn and fireworks stand land. (seriously, ever driven through that state? )
It should be noted that this is only true for the stretch of 94 between Chicago and Milwaukee. That being said, you're right on the money.

I'm driving in from Kalamazoo Michigan, and I have an old friend flying in from NYC for the game. We were wondering if anyone knew of or is having a husker friendly tailgate.
Mods, figured this was the right section, feel free to move.

Just took a look at rivals, they said there were a number of unofficial visitors there. Who were they? Did I miss a post this was in somewhere?

How big is green? He looks like he really has trouble jamming at the line. Receivers seem to out muscle him without being held up, and then he's always playing catch up. Wasn't he the corner in the Chattanooga game that locked up at the line of scrimmage and kind of got pushed backwards and fell over?Prince was so strong at the line he could really prevent them from getting into their route, with how big and strong some of these receivers are now Green really looks mismatched at times when he's jamming.
Think they said 5'11" 185. I mean that being said a lot of 20 something year olds are going to be able to out muscle a true fresh. It'll come to him, just going to take some time.

What people fail to realize is that Wisconsin fans often wear black hoodies with Wisconsin in Red/White lettering. They also wear a navy color similar hoodie. It is not that Wisconsin just "wears red and white". They really have no unified dress code like you find at Nebraska. Wearing red would have been just as fine.
Also, we can argue who the "original" big red is until the cows come home, but only one school in the nation that I know of has the name "The Big Red" (albeit unofficially). This school is neither Nebraska or Wisconsin. Hell the local high-school there is even called the Little Red.
I think that a good host of people wearing black will be noticeable.
Also on a side note, just landed student section tix to the game. Should be interesting.

Don't have tickets yet as I'm a broke student, but I'll be in Madison trying to find some on game day. Me and my boy from NYC are going to be in Black. (well red first so I can get cheaper tickets)

Meh, if Owa didn't crash the boards for 2010 recruiting, I'm not too worried about waiting for a Bubba announcement we're all less optimistic about.
-
Doh, sounds like fun, but don't think I could get away with it at the job.
Pics or it didn't happen.

I'll be making the drive over from Kalamazoo assuming I can get tickets. Thanks for the heads up.

Wisconsin is supposed to be an amazing game day experience. I currently live in Michigan, and Wolverine fans are huge tools so I would avoid that one if you're looking for good people.

Society will only change when we start holding people accountable. The flip side of saying, hey that guy just lost his career; is that when he was dismissive he was preventing someone from furthering their career.
That being said, this probably doesn't belong under Husker Football so much any more.

If we're going to use statistics to figure this sort of stuff out, can we at least use some remotely advanced statistics besides averages? How many standard deviations away from the mean are these figures? What's the error involved in calculating it? Yeah sometimes refs suck, deal with it.
If you need some more numbers to move around to prove a point, please consider using this text. http://www.amazon.com/How-Lie-Statistics-Darrell-Huff/dp/0393310728

Despite a bad loss (Texas) we're ranked as the 4th best one loss team. I think this is more than fair.

Little surprised I haven't seen or heard more calls for getting rid of Gilmore and going after Scott Frost.
OK, I gotta ask. Why would Scott Frost make a great WR coach? I know coaching is in his background, but he never played the position.
I don't know if he would make a "great" wr coach, but I can't say that we are doing very well in that area. In the very least he is smart, maybe he would use Ron Brown as his mentor because we rarely had drops when Coach Brown coached the WR's. That, and there is no denying Frost's connections and influences: his parents were coaches, he played for Tom Osborne, Bill Walsh, Bilotti, and Turner Gill, he may have played for Bo at Green Bay. He has been around some great coaches.
I hope that this "bouncing back" doesn't mean ball bouncing off of hands like they have been.
I've just been hearing he's done a really good job at Oregon (as their WR coach). I don't know where he picked up the skills.

Seriously, this board is awesome. Just another way husker fans are classy.

I'm doing course prep right now and trying to find anything to do to avoid work.

SlidersJake Locker/QB/Washington: Locker started the season with uninspired performances against BYU and Syracuse before an awful showing against Nebraska last Saturday. He completed just four of 20 passes for 71 yards and had a pair of interceptions. Locker has forced the ball into coverage while trying to rely on his arm strength to make plays this season. His decision-making has been suspect at times. There's time for the senior to turn around his play, yet there's no denying he has hurt himself in the eyes of NFL scouts in the early going of the 2010 campaign.
The week before this, Nate Enderle was also a slider. Huskers seem to be a good team for ruining draft stock.

Snuffleaffegeous it came outa nowhere, just like Martinez finding a hole to run through...right? RIGHT?

Baker asserting himself!

can't stand boise st.
I agree, but it all starts and ends with their absolutely hideous field.
I will given them respect when they change their field to green. Until that, I will root against them every time.
I like the blue field. Regardless of that though, these guys can play.
-
Yeah, they're even talking him up a ton on the radio or David's a gamer.
-
Also gotta love a healthy Burkhead. This game is sounding like playing NCAA on the easiest setting.
-
Love hearing Baker getting in on it. I'm betting he has a huge year.
Pleasantly surprised

Truth be told, in my experience, it's really only the students that are not pleasant. This saying is true for just about every school out there, including UNL.
