So everyone is throwing in the towel on NU signing Raiola based on these “insiders” on the GA site? Seriously?

Not saying it's not going to happen, but when the guy who looks like he heats up frozen Runzas in his white microwave says, "Yeah it's possible," I just don't take it as fact.

  2. I don’t see it as peer recruiting as much as seeing who is interested in going to Nebraska with him and based on those responses if DONU is really an option.

If they aren’t interested, he’s developing relationships that will help him peer recruit them elsewhere. He needs to see what Nebraska would look like talent wise if he comes here.

  3. Curious what this means for streaming and subscriptions. If it's CBS, will all of the games outside of rabbit ears be on Paramount+? If NBC, all on Peacock? Any games still on BTN?

Yes, the B1G will get less play on ESPN going forward. When they dropped NHL games a number of years ago their coverage on SportsCenter and other shows dropped too. It's picking back up now that they're re-engaged. Makes sense. I'd expect the same to happen here.

How do we not get this guy over Montana?   Ouch!   Recruiting is a behind the scenes business and there’s much more to it all than just athletic ability but ?

Considering we didn’t offer him a scholarship and Montana did… and he’s originally from Wyoming and has lived in Nebraska for two years… it’s not so much behind the scenes as it is obvious.

  5. What do people do before and after the spring game? Bringing my family from out of state and trying to make it a great experience and have only been to two home games in my life. Will be the first one for my kids 4, 6 and 10. Any fan zones or tailgates or places that are a must-do? Thanks for any advice!

The crazy part is the serious uptick in the 2000s.  1 in over 100 years and then 6 in a 20 year stretch.

Alabama played 75 games in its stretch. Nebraska played 63. We’ll keep seeing more as they keep playing more.

Would be curious how many games the averages team played in the mid 1900s.

Obviously they are missing guys but this was (reportedly) the first unit for the scrimmage today:

    LT - Miller

    LG - Williams

    C - Piper

    RG - Lutvosky

    RT - Anthony

Not sure if good or bad but that looks like what I would have thought to be the second unit.
